Overall, my impression of the company is positive. The service was good, but I was left with an unpleasant feeling due to the pressure to purchase an additional insurance policy, even though I had clearly informed them that I already had one through DoYouItaly. I was told that my existing insurance was "useless," which I found misleading and unnecessarily pushy.

Car and Service - High quality !
Car and Service - the car was new, clean and efficient. The salesperson at the desk when we picked up the car - Francesca - at Catania Airport was excelllent - very clear with options and costs, and also very pleasant. Upon returning the car, the attendant who helped us as Giorgio - he was also excellent - efficient and clear and helpful. Our experience was great. I would rent a car from Autovia again and would recommend your service highly.

I booked through Ryanair and I bought a full insurance that was not a real one: it was needed to delete it and to buy a new one at the desk with a cost of five times more.
So, it should be better to clarify that a full insurance is doubling the cost of the rent and the offer through the Ryanair website is not a real full insurance.

It’s important to clarify that third-party insurances are not directly recognized by our rental system, and while they may offer reimbursement in case of damage, they do not cover you directly at the rental desk. For this reason, we offer our own full insurance, which provides complete protection with no excess and immediate support.
We agree that clearer communication from booking platforms would help set the right expectations, and we are committed to working with our partners to improve this aspect.

SO DISSAPOINTED
From the moment we turned up you felt they wanted extra money from us!! We booked in the UK and took out extra insurance in the UK to cover any problems. Once they explained about the car they asked for over 250 (yes 250!! on top!!) euros to take out an extra insurance on top of the one we had already taken out they more or less said the one in the UK wasn't worth the paper it was written on. We didn't pay for it but we did pay an extra 15 euros for recovery (yes recovery wasn't included!) The alarm bells rung for us then. When we collected the car they didn't come with us to walk round together but did show us something on the laptop where all the marks were. The car was grubby (not washed) and covered in marks, one bit of wheel arch damaged and small dinks all over it. Two of us signed to drive but my friend ended up doing all the driving and doing it with ultra care as not to mark it, this is why I'm so cheesed off. 60+ years old and still getting ripped off. We took photos of all the obvious marks and damage. When we took the car back it wasn't long before my blood pressure was raised and when they said a mark on the wheel arch wasn't there before we set off but we had a photo to prove it was there!!!! When we went to the rear of the car he said 'i'll let those small marks go' but we had pictures of those too, they were already there! There is your evidence were being ripped off they were determined to find something and I'm convinced its because we didn't pay the extra 250. Then when they were at the back car he showed us the lightest of scuff marks that I couldn't see, for the life me I couldn't see it. They said where is your photo off the mark but we didn't take one because we couldn't see it!! I had to walk off. My friend has a bit more patience than me and they settled on we had to pay an extra 100 euros approx. This; we will be able to claim back on the extra insurance we took out in the Uk but its not right. We've hired cars all over Europe and never had any trouble before. My advice stay well clear there are lots of car hire places at Catania.

Finding the office was the biggest challenge 😉
When we returned the car to go back home, our flight was cancelled.
We were helped very swiftly and friendly to organise another suitable and not expensive car. Returning this car was very easy, thanks to Ada.
