Booked a car with AutoVia via EasyJet.
AutoVia refused to release the car because my credit card had less than 6 months validity on it, though the easyJet T&Cs said nothing about this. They also refused to accept other cards from me or my travel companions. The receptionist was unhelpful and just said words to the effect of 'Sort it out with EasyJet - if you use these cheap operators what can you expect. If you booked direct with us you would get our full terms given you (they fitted into a large lever arch file).
The same thing also happened to the customer in front of us, who I'd met during the long wait for the shuttle.
In the end had to book via the adjacent hire desk. EasyJet have refused any refund. Combined with the preceding EasyJet flight cancellation, this made for a pretty disastrous start to the trip.

This has been one of the worst car rental experience I have encountered.
I returned the vehicle in excellent condition, yet I have since received a charge of €407 for alleged 4.5cm line scratch on the front bumper that was already present on the vehicle when I collected it. Fortunately, I took photographs at the time of collection, which clearly show the pre-existing damage. Despite providing this evidence, the company appeared more focused on processing payment from my card than fairly reviewing the facts presented.
The collection and return process is also inconvenient. Customers are required to take a shuttle from the airport departure area and travel a considerable distance outside the city to reach the rental office, which adds unnecessary complexity and inconvenience to the journey.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise travellers to exercise caution when renting from this company. There are far more reputable providers available, and I will certainly be using companies such as Avis Budget Group in the future rather than independent operators promoted through airline booking channels.
For anyone travelling to Italy and considering a rental through this provider, I would recommend researching alternative options before booking.
NB: You will not be able to contact the Customer care team to talk to someone human that will be willing to hear your perspective. All you can do is send an email.
I absolutely wouldn't recommend - will gladly use AVIS next time

We called 15 times and waited for 2 hours but their pick up shuttle bus never came. Why don't they just tell the truth on the phone (that they cannot, will not), instead of promising twice to come, and never do so? Spare their customer and themselves the nerves and frustration.

Similar experiences to orher reviews. Not only was the service in Milan rude, I actually think the company is a scam. They cancelled my pre booked and paid car because my flight was delayed. I’d even called to say the flight was delayed, I then accepted an exorbitant price hike because I now had no car and then they wouldn’t accept the same Wise Visa card I had paid with previously. Every person that day had to pay extra in their pre booking or one other couple ended up with no car. Had to go back to the airport and rented a car in minutes from Europcar ( with a smile). After reading the reviews how they have scammed lots of people, I think I dodged a disaster.

Stay away, not serious, lot of extras, not at the AirPort but in the bush, and long time , jo yo 30 min to wait at the desk. Bad, realy bad.

I would leave 0 stars if possible. A queue of 8 people took 2.5 h. 2 guys at their desks, every now and then one of them just left customers sitting and went on delivering the keys.
Extremely slow, seems like there's no procedure. They need 30 min per car, I've never seen something like this. Awful

I was scammed by Autovia at Malpensa airport. Three months after the rental I received unexpected charges. At the time of hiring insurance charges were excessive. The vehicle was dirty. I would not recommend them to anyone.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Would’ve given 0 stars if I could. Disgusting customer service, they refused to provide car with my credit card. Then offered to provide the car with my partners card if we pay again but 5x the price we paid online. Still haven’t got my deposit back ever since. Staff were rude and unapologetic. Total scam.
