The car was in good condition and paperwork was fast. The only issue was with car pickup location. Near Treviso airport there are parking locations with various car renting companies. All of them are marked by that company logos, flags etc. But Autovia car parking is so ‘hidden’ and does not have any markings that you are in the right spot. We arrived late, there were no one in the parking that we could ask for direction. We spent almost one hour(!) exploring the parking until we found our car. At the car office we received small printed map, where we should find it, but it was not precise. Coordinates these days would do the thing or normal ortofoto! Also place a sign where your cars are placed! It is cheap and will be very helpful

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received at your Treviso Airport rental office.
Upon arrival, the staff was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. They refused to accept my valid Ukrainian driver’s license, which includes an English translation and is recognized throughout the EU. Instead, they insisted I obtain an International Driver Permit. This demand was both unjustified and discriminatory, as EU law clearly recognizes my license. Even after I showed them the legal documentation and contacted your support center (which confirmed my license was acceptable), the staff member remained dismissive and rude.
What was even more shocking was the blatant discrimination I faced. The employee attempted to impose an administrative fee solely based on my nationality. When I pointed out the legal inconsistencies, he arrogantly stated that he did not care about Autovia’s policies or customer support and claimed to “know better.” He even fabricated a story about the Italian police penalizing Autovia if they saw a Ukrainian license, which is completely false and unacceptable behavior from a representative of your company.
While the staff member in the parking lot was polite and professional, the overall experience was overshadowed by the appalling treatment I received at the rental desk. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but leaves a lasting negative impression of your company.
I hope you take immediate action to address this issue and ensure no other customer has to endure such discriminatory treatment in the future.

It has been two weeks since I rented the car, and I still haven't received my 250-euro refund. Additionally, I haven't received any response to my emails.

We rented car at Airport Treviso office. (I noticed that depending on location where you rent, experience may vary in any company any country ;) )
AutoVia Treviso is one of the best car rentals I have ever met! (FYI: up to know I rented car ~ 10 times). And I am really grateful to all AutoVia workers for such great experience!
I could feel this especially good after my previous awful, disastrous experience from car rental in Romania.
What I liked in AutoVia Treviso Aeroporto:
>> it is easy to find counter - lots of Google photos and reviews from other clients + airport map
>> worker at the counter spoken perfect English.
>> Everything was transparent: we paid the same amount of money, as it was in reservation.
>> All communication was quick and easy. They informed us about all insurance options, etc ( it feeled more like standard procedure, but it wasn't pushy, like in some other rentals) and location of car parking.
>> Car was new and in great condition.
>> The informative phone was always available withing working hours. The lady on that side spoken perfect English too.
>> Both when receiving and returning car, we felt respected and everything was smooth, workers were very nice.
What I didn't like:
>> There were no rugs on the floor of the car. As result it was quite difficult to vacuum-clean the car before we return it (If there were rugs, we could just take them out and shake off sand/grass from them). It is minor issue, therefore still 5-stars. But, hopefully, next time there will be rugs ;)
Other notes:
>> I remembered one issue when receiving car, but this was rather my bank's issue (needed to change location in my bank's app + make small purchase to activate purchases abroad): When I tried to pay by credit card it was declined. Then I quickly bought one coffee in nearest shop inside of airport, to check if it is my card's or rental's problem. Obviously it was my card: after coffee purchasing, card was "unblocked" by bank, and I could pay for rental. Thanks for worker - he waited us all these minutes ;)
We didn’t get the car because be refuse to take an ensurance. We already had an ensurance, but the employee was very agressive. Pay or No car. We paid 360 euro extra. And gastank in the car was emty when we pickt it up.
So we paid 360 to much and we need to fill up the gastank for 60 euro. Nice start of the holiday
Firstly I was given fiat SUV when I booked for a small compact car. I was told that was only one available which I don’t agree with if we booked small car there is a reason. We found driving big car difficult and also expensive to run during our hire. Secondly I was not told about Adblue, we were given empty tank of Adblue which we had to fill up that will run the car for next 5000 km. We were refused to be paid for the cost of Adblue. Thirdly and most ridiculously, I have been charged for a fuel fill up on someone else’s car. We returned our car with full tank fuel with no damage. Staff at car return agreed with fuel and no damage. All paperwork was done to say no charge required. But I have been charged £124.94 on 26/5 by Autovia for different car reg. The contract paper and image is clearly of different car.
Fourthly, I went to Venice Treviso airport to explain this in person. The staff agreed that was a mistake and said he would need to look into it as it was done by his colleague. And would be refunded. I have written email multiple times to address the mistake but no one has replied. This is very unprofessional. I haven’t had the refund, unbelievable that they have charged me for someone else's car. Ridiculous.
I was about to pickup a rental car that I’ve booked and paid for in August 2023 at the airport in Treviso, Italy at company Autovia.it. I came at 8:00 am, but unfortunately I did not have a credit card (only debit cards) to put up a deposit. I was quite surprised that only credit card was accepted for deposit since I've paid for booking with debit card and never really had any problems with providing deposit by debit card with other rental car companies before. They have it in a small print in their Terms and Conditions, but really not very well visible and often the term “Credit Card” is interchangeable with the debit card as well. The man behind the desk said that I cannot use my debit card for deposit and he cannot rent me the car. I had to go to Hertz and rent another car there (apparently they did not have any problem with taking a deposit from the debit card). He recommended me to write an email to customer service complaints and ask for refund (the booking cost 266,05 EUR in total). Unfortunately, three weeks later I’ve received a short response that I’m not eligible for any refund, which was quite a shock:
"By terms and conditions there is no refund for failed pick up if all the necessary prerequisites and documents are not available for the issue of the Rental Agreement.
Necessary documents are shown in the confirmation voucher received when the booking is confirmed as well as in the terms and conditions link."
I haven’t used the service at all and it was clear before I officially could start using it (the rental pickup was at 8:30am). I don’t understand how is it possible that I’m not eligible for a refund in this case when the rental company simply haven’t done anything other than taking my money for nothing. I completely understand that I may not be eligible for a full refund, but I equally do not understand how they would be eligible to pocket everything without actually providing the service.
I've tried to contact European Consumer Center in Italy and got a response, that this could be an unfair commercial practice:
"In the case of online contract, the seller should provide you with information about the service before you concluding your purchase. This means that the you should have received in advance the information about the need to provide a credit card to pick up the car. In addition, keeping the full amount you paid as penalty could be disproportionate, especially if the contractual terms do not foresee a compensation for the consumer if the contract is canceled by the trader. Applying disproportionate penalty, indeed, could represent an unfair commercial practice banned by law."
After this bad experience I would not recommend to use this company to anyone and use other companies like Hertz and Europcar that do not really have any problems with taking deposit from debit cards.
Quindi state attenti!

I fell for this too! I paid for the car rental online (through rentalcars.com platform) and my card was accepted for the advanced payment. At the airport, they told me that the card couldn't be accepted for the security deposit because it's a "debit card" and not a "credit card" and they denied me the car I had already paid for.
That's my only card!, I don't have any others, and I never had any problems renting a car before!
They didn't refund me because "it was already past the rental start time". So I lost €80!
If a card is accepted for an online payment, it's absurd for it to then be declined for the security deposit payment at the time of car pickup. No consumer would expect such a thing. After me, there was a French couple who had to go through the exact same ordeal.
Update 6 Dec 2023: I was later able to prove that my card is indeed a credit card and I received a full refund by Rentalcars, the broker where I had rented the car Autovia refused to give me. So beware!
It is interesting to note how much the management of Treviso Airport is interested in the reviews - not at all

I'll be probably taking legal steps against this company if they do not refund me at least partially some money for the service and will update here soon about the outcome.
After this bad experience I would not recommend to use this company to anyone and use other companies like Hertz and Europcar that do not really have any problems with taking deposit from debit cards.
