unacceptable service

unacceptable service. unsafe furniture not suitable for children. customer service non existent. spent hours on calls, staff are inexperienced and rude, the company and staff don't value their customers and hung up the phone on me.

Took 3 attempts to deliver the order correctly

We ordered 2 storage beds for delivery on 9 August. On the day, only 1 bed arrived (the delivery team assured me that the 2nd one must be on another truck) and, on further inspection, it turned out to be the wrong one (regular model, rather than storage bed). Another attempt was scheduled for 14 August: again, only 1 bed arrived, correct type, but on further inspection - damaged. And the delivery team refused to collect the wrong bed. Yet another delivery attempt was scheduled on 16 August - this time bed number 2 finally arrived (also damaged) and the wrong one was collected.

Would have given BedroomWorld only 1 star if not for the relatively helpful customer service team (if you have the patience to stay on hold), who also arranged a monetary compensation for the poor delivery service.

Never will I order online from Dunelm and Bedroom World again!

I ordered next day delivery, but being remote got the option to select delivery. I picked a date 3 days away from the order, believing that would give them plenty of time. **still paying the next day delivery costs.
I received a confirmation email, with my expected day of delivery....sat in and waited, it did not appear! I phoned the company and was spoken to so rudely and told to read the small print. I left the conversation with NO idea of when my item would be arriving and emailed customer services...in a very brief email they told me they would get the courier company to contact me. This never happened, I emailed customer services again asking for an explanation or refund...they never replied! After almost 2 weeks I gave up, phoned and asked for a refund ....the girl on the phone was unapologetic and said she would process it, I have had NO refund or NO confirmation email to say she will refund !?! Yesterday I had a call from the couriers saying to expect the delivery today .....I have sat in and waited....no delivery. I have no idea what is happening with my order, I have been on hold now for twenty minutes. I can honestly say I have never experienced customer service this bad.

DO NOT USE

Terrible customer service. My partner took a day off work on Wednesday to accept a bed frame and mattress he had ordered over a week ago, and paid for them to be delivered on this day only. The mattress came at midday, but no frame. It got to 6pm (he had waited in all day on the hottest day of the year) and when he rung them, it turns out the frame had never made it onto the delivery truck. No one bothered to ring him about this, and instead they said 'if you'd rung earlier to report it missing, we could have sorted something out'... Blaming the customer for their mistake!

They offered to 'refund' the delivery cost aka give him back what they owed for failing to deliver the service. There were no free slots for the next day. I agreed to take an unpaid day of work to wait in today, as they had promised it was going to come. Woke up at 8am to no confirmation text and rung to be told the order was not coming today, they had changed it till tomorrow without telling us! We will not be in tomorrow. No further refund offered for two days lost work. Awful experience, please do not use, you will get scammed and spend lots of time on the phone talking to staff who cant seem to help in any way.

Only acceptable part of the service was the helpful delivery men who bought the mattress into the house.

I would not order again from this…

I would not order again from this company.
Arranged a date for delivery, also received an email confirming this.
Made arrangements for someone to be home for deliver.
Then told it will be here on a different day.
Phoned to complain and experienced very poor customer service who didnt seem very interested in what had happened.
When I told him I had received an email confirming delivery date he basically told me to stop going round in circles!
I would definatly NOT purchase anything from them again.
Quick to take my money but not so keen to help when I phoned with a problem.

Do not use! I wouldn't even give this company 1 star!

Ordered a bed for my elderly mother who has just come out of hospital from an operation. I made the order in my name with my card details, email and mobile information but with the delivery titled to my mothers address (same address my card is still registered to!!)

Was told it would be a next day service which we paid for only to be given a text the next morning stating that due to a problem with their network they were unable to deliver? No other information was given.

I called up customer service and was refused any info about the status of my order because they needed 'authorisation' from my mother to 'disclose' such information. I told them that that was ridiculous as I was the one who made the order and that my mothers name was only where it was being delivered to. The lady on the phone even had the cheek to ask me to 'do her a favour' and to get my mother to ring her back. I said this was impossible as she is recovering from an operation and the new bed was to be delivered for when she got home to recover. She still refused. So I asked for a refund to MY card, again, she needed authorisation from my mother!!! It's pathetic! My mother had nothing to do with the order apart from her name being on the delivery address!! In these circumstances, especially with her being unable to get to the phone, you think they would use some common sense!!!

What if she was to suddenly drop dead, what then? Does that mean I'll never get my money back?!!

Their customer service is disgraceful and beyond disgusting. No training on how to deal with customers politely. They are argumentative and lack any morals. They clearly don't care as they haven't bothered to reply and rectify the other negative comments on here. Company speaks for itself. Do yourself a favour and save yourself the hassle of having to deal with them.

Don't be scared of all the red reviews

I ordered a single bed with storage for £305. I ordered before checking the reviews because bedroomworld were the only ones who seemed to have it in stock for quick delivery (<3 weeks). After reading reviews I was quite scared but of course people usually only leave reviews for bad experiences, so I thought I'd change that.

They didn't have the colour I wanted in stock for next day delivery (like the rest of the internet), so be careful, just because every item says in stock for next day, doesn't mean it is. However, the morning after I ordered (I ordered on Sunday, they called on Monday morning) they told me the colour wasn't in stock and said they could ship the more expensive colour for next day delivery at no extra cost. I accepted, they shipped out the bed and of course I got it next day. Despite not asking for it they even delivered with two drivers who allowed a 'room of choice' delivery inside my property, which although I didn't take them up on, was nice.

Overall it was a very smooth process and the bed is great quality.

Useless waist of time..

Waste of time ordered a bed to be delivered today got told 9-1 time frame was told I would get hour before delivery I rang up just told delivered at 11:25am and no one rang me an hour before absolutely furious as I have to wait a week for bed now not going to be delivered untill Wednesday would not use these again.

Exceptional customer service...…

Fantastic service from Latexsense who were very happy to offer an exchange of matresses. This was done efficiently and professionally by the company who came to our house and swap the matresses over. Excellent customer service from Sylvia thank you very much for the help and assistance in helping me choose the correct matress for me!

Shocking service!

Shocking service!! The guys on the phone when making the sale were great (commission /targets maybe)? But the delivery schedule was wrong and was told they couldn’t help as it was a weekend!! On delivery eventually, the bed was damaged; the collection wasn’t booked after receiving an email to say it had been. The day after they turned up and the guy was incredibly rude and arrogant!!! Avoid at ALL costs!!! Never ever again will i order via dunelm/bedroom world!!!

absolutely shocking!

absolutely shocking!! customer service and the delivery was how can I say a shambles. Delivery guys trod all over the box and the bed frame was chipped. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt to resolve it and they couldn't care less any response. Avoid at all costs!!

Disgraceful, rubbish company with no customer care.

I ordered and paid for a futon last December. The wooden frame and arms were delivered in January, but no mattress. I have since made at least five phone calls and sent three emails. I have been fobbed off with excuse after
excuse. Ten days ago, following yet another phone call to them, I received an email saying that the mattress had been despatched. Today I rang to say I had not received it. It turns out the mattress had not been despatched at all so now I am back to square one, with a futon I cannot use. This is disgraceful. I would urge anyone not to order from this company. Their policy seems to be take the money and have no customer care whatsoever.

Not next day delivery or even the day after

Day 1. Ordered a bed before 11am - next day delivery - received confirmation e mail them which said I would be e mailed when bed was due for dispatch and money was taken for purchase. Day 2. Late in the afternoon sent an email asking about my delivery, no reply. Day 3 Sent another e mail at 9am again no answer. 1.30pm rang them, customer service lady said she couldn't tell me when it would be delivered, and it wasn't showing on the system for dispatch, "so it definitely won't be today". She offered to call their supplier and get back to me. I declined this and cancelled the order. The only reason I have given 2 stars is that the lady on the phone was very understanding, and the money was refunded to my account within 2 minutes of me cancelling, otherwise it would have been 1 star.

After reading the previous reviews I must admit I was a bit sceptical about buying from this company but I did anyway, I bought a a bunk bed with mattresses and it was delivered within 2 days, excellent customer service with regular updates via email and phone, would definitely buy from here again..

I wish i had read these reviews before I purchased my sons new bed!!.

I ordered from this company because i could choose my day of delivery, so I chose a day in half term where I would be at home the whole day of which I chose 4 weeks before so they had plenty of notice to "get it right!!". Oh no I now have half a bed, the bed frame has arrived but alas no mattress, quite important for a bed!!!! I am now being told these 2 items were sent in 2 deliveries from 2 different companies, I was not informed of this during the order process. Rang the company they have no idea where it is, so I am going to try to cancel and get my money refunded, as now I cannot wait around for a mattress to turn up, and to be honest my son needs something to sleep on!!!!

The most un professional delivery service.

This my second try to order frm this company. I seriously dont know how they work. There service is pathetic. The delivery man is the most rude person i met in the world. He wanted to leave the delivery on the road , one can imagine how freaking it is to accept the delivery from the main road. The delivery ppl called me and said its a curb side delivery. Pls pls dont buy frm this company i beg you if you dont want to waste time and money.

Bed delivered broken when I called for a replacement I organised another Saturday delivery. They didn’t arrange this and it turned up on a Wednesday - fortunately I was able to arrange at last minute a day working from home. But when it arrived they refused to take the broken one away saying that a collection hadn’t been arranged. Have had to organise another Saturday for them to come and pick it up (they refused to pick it up at a more specific time than ‘anytime between 7am and 6pm). Let’s see if that will happen...

Item never delivered

I placed an order for a bed on 24th November, with a delivery lead time of 10-14 weeks. The confirmation stated I'd be kept up to date with the expected delivery time. Having heard nothing from them for 10 weeks I emailed asking for an update. Nothing. I called them only to be told the bed 'went out of stock in January'. I was baffled and they had no real explanation. A complete waste of time.

They left the box on the ground floor and would not bring upstairs

Bought from BedroomWorld.co.uk and they did not bring the box up the stairs. I buzzed in the driver and he came upstairs to get a signature which I thought was so he can put down the device but when he did not come back after 5 minutes I found the box on the ground floor. He could have bought it up when I signed for the package. I have difficulty carrying such a box. I complained and they said that they don't have to deliver above the ground floor as is in the T&C's.....but he had to come upstairs for the signature!!!!!! I will never buy from them or the parent company Worldstores again.
