This is a cheating company

This is a cheating company, really do not know why such company is still active?? They are illegal!!! I called them to open a single lock, they said they will charge around 55 pounds, which sounds reasonable. However, once they came to my property, they want to charge me 250 pounds! 5 times of the original price! They said 55 is just call out fee, the rest is the fee to open the lock. It took them less than 5 mins to open the lock!!! It is ridiculous!!! I am shocked that this kind of company is still active and there is no regulator who can do anything about this kind of company. It makes me feel that living in UK is like living in poorest country in world where there are lots of dishonest people!!!

Google advert scammers

This company shouldn’t be allowed to host Google Adverts attracting lots of desperate people and selling them a fantasy with ‘from £49.’ Don’t expect to pay less than £300 for a getting in and replacement locks.

Dishonest

Dishonest. Was told call out charge is £45. When locksmith arrived told me the charge was an additional £199 to open the door. The lady on the phone did not mention anything.

Do not use. They will rip you off.e

Essentially robs customers

Locked myself out of my flat and didn't have a spare key available. I got service and ended up getting back in to my flat, but the prices kept adding up and in the end it cost me 500 pounds. They take advantage of people in need and I suspect they discriminated against me and took advantage of me specifically.

This company overcharge

This company overcharge. I locked myself out with the key left in the door. The locksmith came tried to drill the lock out and said it was too hard so he would try the back door. He drilled this out also. He was here for under an hour. The call out charge is £49. My brother works for B&Q and the best quality similar lock was £43. I had 1 best and 1 lesser quality locks. The man was here under one hour and the total I was charged was £1239.60. Which less the cost of the locks (B&Q make a profit on theirs) means I paid £1153.60 for call out, labour and VAT. Don’t use it would be cheaper to get a new door or break a window! Disgraceful overcharging!! Pay by credit card so you can cancel and dispute! I did check the price of the locks and one retailed at £14.99!!

Useless company with dense call workers

Absolutely terrible service. We waited 50 minutes despite being told a locksmith would be with us in 25 minutes. When we phoned the ignorant woman that answered the phone told us that the appointment was cancelled and immediately put the phone down. I’m glad they never arrived after reading these reviews as they appear to charge you whatever they feel like on the day.

Overcharged

Overcharged way above what was quoted on the phone and, like many others, I felt compelled to pay or be left with an insecure door. Horrible experience (invoice was from MM&M 96 Ltd)

Wish I had seen these reviews. My experience was exactly the same.
AVOID THIS COMPANY - THEY'RE A SCAM!
Called them to gain access to my house. The £49 callout fee seems enticing but George charged me £279 just to drill into the lock and then £129 to replace the lock, which is absolutely extortionate.
After signing the invoice and starting to enter card details I saw he had added £93 VAT fees which he had not mentioned previously. After an argument he agreed it was his mistake, but when going to pay a second time he charged £30 extra and when I disputed it, he quickly entered my CVV code without my consent and charged me the extra amount. I had to threaten to call the police before he refunded me the difference in cash. Criminal and deceitful behaviour from a scumbag - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I will be reporting to trading standards - i suggest everyone else does the same

I have been changed £492 for a guy to drill out my old lock and replace. The door was just on the latch and any decent locksmith could have opened it without the need to drill. Avoid these guys. They are taking advantage of your situation.

Extremely expensive

We left the key inside the door in a vertical position. So we got stuck outside. Called them and the guy opened the door in less than 10 sec and charged me 298 pounds! AVOID THEM AT ALL TIMES.
He said 49 call out fee + 199 service + vat

Where to start. £564 to replace a lock.!
.Police say I should have called 999 as a scam was taking place. They prey on the vulnerable apparently. My husband is disabled.
After speaking to another locksmith..he tells me the price would have been around £120.

-1 - terrible service over charged and not as quoted

-1 I had a similar experience to the below post where an Eastern European man turned up in an un-marked car.
I called at 8pm and told that somebody would be with me in 30min. 45mins later still nobody had arrived. I called back to who told me that somebody would call me. The lock smith called was rude and told me he was at another job and I need to wait another 30mins. 30 mins pass and nobody shows. the lock smith doesn't respond to my messages and the office are rude. I call another lock smith cancel the original lock smith and also text the lock smith to say I have cancelled with the office. The original lock smith calls to say he will be with me in 15mins. I ask him which company he's calling from as I didn't want the original lock smith at this point, he tells me which company? I don't know! Its past 10pm at this point and I'm waiting in the cold and just want to get inside. When he turns up he's from the original company 'bestlocksmith24h'.
I believe he was going to try drill his way in but I asked him to try with plastic 1st and we are in within 2 seconds (its 10.25pm now) then I am charged £315 I was initially quoted £60 call out fee and £50 entry free which I deemed reasonable. When I questioned the charge I was told this was not quoted to me and this is the fee.
As a lone woman with a strange man in my house felt little choice than to pay it.
I called the office again to dispute the charge again I was fobbed off and when I asked the lady on the phone does she think £315 is reasonable she told me to email management. I have done this and am awaiting a response.

If I do not hear back I will be reporting to both trading standards and the ombudsman.

I strongly suggest not to use this company and for anybody in a similar situation to also contact trading standards and Ombudsman

Total conmen. Disgusted.

Don't use this company Ever.... I waited 45 minutes for a call out to be charged 75 for a Sunday call out and then a further 87 for them to use a bit of plastic to open my door. The guys were Eastern European and turned up in a black unmarked car. Writing to media about this. Con artists!!!! They obviously used search engine optimisation and clever online marketing to get to the top of the list and to con poor desperate people.

Absolutely terrible service

I called for a locksmith after my front door jammed with 2 dogs inside the house, was told that someone would be with me in 20-25 minutes. Waited outside in the rain and called again 35 minutes later as no one had arrived. I was then told that the locksmith woud phone me shortly. He rang 10 minutes later and informed me that he had just received the job and will be 35-40 minutes! I was also advised that the call out alone would cost £55 and that any repairs on top would cost extra. I then found a different locksmith online who turned up 10 minutes after my call and charged just £60 for the whole job. AVOID this company at all costs.
