TERRIBLE

Like everyone else says, avoid!
They didn’t tell me the cost before arriving and then charges 100£ for 3 minute work. Also very rude, arrived late and unable to find parking that I made possible for them.

Scamming group

Scamming group.

Turned up and with a 30-second look said he had no idea what the fault was. Drilled out the lock without asking, then quoted over 300 pounds for a single lock change. Said no. Told the drilling was 180 pounds. Said no, so they left.

Called up to query their practice and they hung up on me. Called again to ask to speak to somebody, and they just hung up on me again.

Avoid at all costs. Though they will pop up under a new website and email and number soon enough.

DO NOT USE THESE CRIMINALS

DO NOT USE THESE CRIMINALS!
To drill out and replace a faulty Yale lock which was a 35 minute job, they charged £89 call out fee + £149 door opening + £179 labour + £174 lock + £118.20 VAT = £709.20
The lock is available online for less than £50 and what the difference is between "door opening" and "labour" is anyone's guess. They viciously and ruthlesssly rob you when you are in a vulnerable position and have no choice - that is, they allow you to choose between leaving your door uncloseable after they have removed the faulty lock and fitting a vastly overpriced and substandard lock at literally unbelievable expense. Will report them to trading standards next.

Hated the whole experience.

Hated the whole experience.

Quoted £98 on the phone for our of hours. (5.30pm).

Turned up, got me in in 5 minutes. Had to pay there and then. New eurocylinder install, forced entry and out of hours charge, total £500~ WHAT!!!!!!

He got angry and wouldn’t leave without payment when Questioned the cost. I was forced to sign a document without even knowing a price upon his arrival- for him to start the work.

Whole thing is as a joke! Hated it, something needs to be done here.

Disgrace.

AVOID

I wish I had read these reviews beforehand. I got quoted £50 on the phone for opening the door. When the locksmith arrived he said he couldn’t open it so he had to replace the lock. He told me the price for the ne lock started from £65 but once he screwed the old lock open he said that the cost for the new lock was £130. The total was £ 320 and he only mentioned the VAT was on top when the job was done and I had to pay. It cost me shy of 400 quid. I’m distraught.

Mislead my lone female tenant

Mislead my lone female tenant. Quoted £50 the the job. Arrived late and stated they could not help as there was no letterbox on the door. Wanted to increase the price to £200 or £72 for the call out.
Clearly misinforming customers and upping the price. Can’t be trusted

ABSOLUTE RIP OFF!

ABSOLUTE RIP OFF!
On the website it says prices start from £49, on arrival we were told that was the call out fee. Before he started work he made us sign a form to say the second he started work it was £100 labour charge. Given that the whole job took a total of less than ten minutes this is ridiculous. He then broken the lock out of the door with pluses and said ‘see it’s irreparable’ you’ll have to pay £150 for a new lock. These are clearly not the prices stated on the website. After this 20% VAT was added on. I’ve had locks changed before and never paid more that £100. This one cost over £300! Won’t be using this company again!

Pressurised sales, miss-selling and atrocious rates

I can see from the past posts that this company takes advantage of people who are vulnerable and in a position of stress and anxiety.

I was told £49 on the phone, then when the man arrived there was a £85 replacement lock fee, plus £229 door opening, plus £50 labour AND VAT = £495.60!

They did not quote the price including VAT which is against regulations. I will taking action with ASA and Trading Standards on this company.

TOTAL RIP OFF CON ARTISTS

TOTAL RIP OFF CON ARTISTS

This is a scam website that takes advantage of people in a moment of need. They subcontract to or operate under other companies that they rename / burry when complaints get out of control. For example the invoice given to me was under Blaga Vest Ltd, though we were not informed about this subcontractor in advance:

Locksmith 24 Hours
Blaga Vest Ltd
3 Gerry Raffles Square
London E15 1BG

The handyman that arrived didn’t give his name, but sounded Easter European.
The key was stuck on the lock, and before even trying to get it out, wanted to charge £400+ for changing the lock (before VAT, which is only mentioned afterwards).

We refused to accept this, and simply proceeded with shearing the key off the lock. For this, they charged £89 for the emergency visit and £99 shearing, which only took 2 seconds. The total came to £220+ with VAT. When querying the handyman about the price he got VERY aggressive, so had no choice but to pay.

Terrible experience.

Terrible experience.

I locked myself out of the house with my 4 year old. I called based on the website advertising £49 and a man arrived within the hour.

It took him 30 seconds to open my door with a piece of plastic then charged me £210 for the privilege. It was 12pm on a Saturday and so I was told the call out fee was £100 because it was the weekend. Then told it would be £75 ‘open door’ fee. Then VAT on top. I complained at the steep costs and had a very difficult conversation on my door step in the presence of my daughter. I felt obliged to pay and sign a form that absolved them of any comeback. Very immoral service. They have blocked my number and will not respond to emails to resolve the matter. Terrible service. Exploitative at a time when people are vulnerable. Would not use again funnily enough.

Dimitry saved us!

We got locked out in the early evening. Dimitry came and saved us. Sorted it super quickly and we were back inside in no time. He even knocked a bit off the price when we we weren’t sure we could pay the full quote. Really kind and generous. Thank you Dimitry!

Not a great experience

It was a Sunday 10am the locksmith arrived within an hour in small car with a with a small toolbox. He told me only choice was to drill out lock which would be 480 I told him I thought it was excessive but he said that the going rate and I had no choice as tenants were waiting in van to move in. He made a mess of the front door which needs to be replaced and was there for under an hour. These guys are a rip off they charged me over 550 to replace the lock (worth £25) and ruined the front door do not use them find a local business and check the reviews before you employ anybody. I never write negative reviews but I was disgusted by the price and

Dimitry is excellent!!

It's currently 22:51 on a Sunday night and Dimitry has just left us. He wasn't able to fix our lock but was able to sort a temporary fix. The price was so high and we weren't able to pay it. Dimitry was kind and caring and sorted our job at a lower rate. We can't thank him enough for being so compassionate and professional. If you're ever in a jam, he's your man. Thank you again Dimitry.
