My experience at the Big easy for the first time was Good. I and my husband and 3 other friends had a lovely time. The food was tasty and looked good. Saskia served us and was very attentive and helpful. I would re-visit the Big easy again. Everyone has their own experience. This is my experience.
Women are not treated fairly here
They took my review down from google
My niece worked here recently and experienced and witnessed multiple accounts of sexual harassment from the male managerial staff. James and Richard think its okay to touch their female staff members whenever they please. All reports on their behavior get swept under the rug. Disgusting that women still experience this kind of behavior in the workplace.. Do not go here. The food terrible as well.
Give us notice, or you will be binned.
We booked our table weeks ago. Got sat infront of the bins and told there were no alternatives because we didn’t leave a preference.
Not sure I should have to say “I don’t want to sit in front of the bins” to ensure a good seat.
Not even had our food yet, needless to say, they won’t be receiving a tip.
Check your bill
We went to the Canary Wharf Big easy, and was served by Marco. They should call it Dick Turpins as it was highway robbery. We ordered the Lobster roll and Prosecco £24.50 which was two slices of brioche with a topping of a lobsterless mix, we couldn’t taste any lobster but could taste the lettuce, the Prosecco was a tiny glass. Also ordered some other stuff which was a rip off. Highway robbery couldn’t wait to get out of there and when we checked our bill on the way home they had charged us £10.80 for a big easy brew stein which we didn’t have as my husband doesn’t drink then £10.33 service charge. We just can’t understand why it gets so busy we would never go again and nor would my son who has taken his family to one and wasn’t impressed either. It has taught us one thing, we will now always check our bill.

SOOO DISSAPOINTING!Rude hostess...
I booked a table for myself and my sister as it was my 40th Birthday weekend I booked this table on the 2nd of February for the 26th stating my occasion as birthday and requesting to sit downstairs for the live music session.
We arrived 19:45 the hostess was on the phone but did not acknowledge us then her assistant or colleague (Blonf girl ,checkered skirt) arrived at desk again just looked at the screen her colleague was looking at i then got my booking up and showed the lady my reservation she allocated my reservation and took us to a table for two on the ground floor I then said it is my birthday and I requested to sit innthe basement. The hostess took us back to the reception and explained to the blond girl my request was downstairs she replied well they need to wait in bar and have a drink so we went to bar there was no empty table just a dirty one so the blond girl passed her and I asked her where shall we sit as no one escorted us she looked at the dirty table cleared it ( not sanitising or whiping) just take dirty away and said here.So we sat down all the staff congregated in the corner near coffee machine (blond hostess constantly pass us ) no menu no cleaning the table so a manager with glasses passed we asked for the menu he brought the menu over..
We waited 15 min I stood up went over to coffee machine and asked if we cld order he came we ordered drinks.
We just received the drinks then the blond (since we sat down was around 35 min ) collected us and took us downstairs.
When we arrived I was surprised it was so empty as we sat neat the door there were in that nearly 40 min literally no one leaving from basement out the main door???
Anyway she sat us right next to another table and two dirty table our table was wobbly so i stuck a napkin under the foot which sorted it, we noticed it was freezing down and nearly all the guest were in jackets with scarfs on etc.
Behind me was a grey door leading to who knows where so after 5 min I called waiter and said pls can you close the door as it is freezing he closed it and the table next to us said "THANK GOD it is so cold we asked 3 times allready, but no one closed it"
Anyway we got the menus and there we sat the table next to us finished their food and left the hostess with blond hair that seated us cleared table and started spraying it with sanitizer she sprayed me in the process in which I said excuse me she blanked me the waiter said all okay I said no she sprayed me the waiter spoke to her she said "o sorry"
The 2nd table to my right was still dirty next moment the runner came with a tray with clean food for the family behind us he placed the clean food tray on the dirty table and I went OMG to my sister best of all he passed the old chips(from previous table) that was on the table to the waiter and they served it to the family I MEAN REALLY!!!
Anyway our night was ruined the hostess had a huff with us for some reason I work in hospitality after what we all went through the last 18 months customer
service should be really up there.
We ate our food listened q bit to the music and left ....there was no mention of happy birthday or would ..you like a dessert nothing
No very DISSAOINTING...Avoid!!!

Went to the the Canary wharf Big easy on 26th Feb 22 to celebrate my birthday.
The food came out luke warm, no-one even cleared table so our mains were delivered whilst our starter plates were still sitting there.
Ribs were like jelly, very fatty hardly any meat.
Bill for me and my husband was £120 including bottle of wine (No dessert)... very expensive and I didn't even get a birthday sing song and complementary ice cream like other birthday tables did :(

We went to the Big Easy in Covent Garden on the 26th of Feb around 12.20pm as we were in the area (my family and I). The woman at the door pretty much turned us away and told us that they’re rare fully booked and if we didn’t have a reservation we would not be able to be seated. I could see plenty of tables free so I decided to go online and check availability. Turns out they had plenty of tables and so we booked online and came back 10 minutes later.
Our meal was great and the waiter looking after us was friendly and attentive despite it being quite busy with the boozy lunches.
We love the Big Easy and enjoy coming back time and time again, but the woman at the front door really put a dampener on things. I can only assume this was some form of discrimination and must admit I’ve never been fobbed off like that before. To be honest she should be ashamed of herself and also yourselves for sloppy service. Her behaviour is a reflection of your company and this has made me reconsider if I want to be treated like that as a customer in future.
Rethink who you put at the door to welcome people because it will have an affect on your business….
I went last night with my friend…
I went last night with my friend looking forward to having some lobster. I ordered the deal with prosecco and salad. The prosecco glass was tiny, the salad was small and literally just a few leaves of plane salad, t finally go to the lobster, was as big as a prawn, no meat in there I basically have left starving. The people there did not know who was in charge of taking the order and when finally the only person there in charge was not bothered to take our order. Overall a terrible experience

There were 4 of us dining on a Thursday night. We had to wait over 50 minutes for our order to actually make it's way to our table.
Our son had the lobster, which he loved, however he was not given the correct cutlery to crack the lobster open. That is very sloppy service. I had the fillet steak. I love fillet steak, but this one was awful. It was full of un-chewable bits and I ended up leaving more than I actually ate.
Really disappointing. And we certainly wouldn't return.
Am sad to say that having been to the…
Am sad to say that having been to the Kings Road branch before I was keen for friends to remember or try what I thought would be a great night out.
There were 10 of us, so when booking the table I was sent set menus and told we needed to precooked which we wanted by 3pm the day before we went. I forwarded on the email so that everyone had a chance ro have a look and make their selection. I had to call the restaurant as the email used to send me the menus didn't accept replies, only to be told that we had to pick 1 of the 3 only...
When we arrived at the restaurant, I had asked for a table downstairs, so we could see the live music. A couple, one singer and a guy with a guitar were eating on the 'stage', when they finished eating, sang 3 or 4 songs then left.
When we had sat down, the waiter took 15(?) minutes to take our drinks order and bring them. He maintained that he knew nothing of any set menus and that he was happy for us to go a la carte.
The starters were dreadful. One of its didn't get their starter (lucky sod). The rest of the starters had, I'm sure been either cooked earlier and left under a warming lamp or had been refried from another day. They were almost inedible.
The rest of the meal was ok to be fair, but when we asked to see the manager to discuss the bill- they tried to charge us for 2 extra lobsters, we were told that he wasn't there and that we would be able to see the day/ shift manager. We were refunded a fraction of the meal and I was told that the general manager would contact me.
I offered that as they had my credit card number, that we weren't prepared to pay, I would speak with the GM and when we had agreed that the restaurant would take what had been agreed. They were unprepared to do so.
This was 2 weeks ago. No one has called. None of us remember that night well and I urge anyone not to ho on a Saturday night in a group of more than 4. The staff are inept, the kitchen was overwhelmed and sending out substandard, reheated in old oil and the drinks were warm.
It was terrible. Everyone in our party has vowed never to go back. Many have told their friends which potentially means that over 100 people will have been saved from the utter slop we had that night.
RIP The Big Easy that we all knew
It’s BBQ for people who don’t know what BBQ is
Visited the Bluewater restaurant having never tried a Bigeasy before. I’ll give BBQ restaurants a go as I’m an experienced home cook with my own smoker and I love proper BBQ. We were served promptly, staff and servers were friendly and polite and it’s a nice place to sit, apart from one guy in the kitchen constantly yelling ‘let’s go, let’s go!’ to his staff which was really annoying. The problem is the food. The ‘slaw’ is basically a budget supermarket type, the beans were undercooked and floating in a watery sauce, the chicken appeared just oven cooked and smothered in a sickly shop bought BBQ sauce, the tiny bit of brisket I got was dry and flavourless and the only flavour on the 2 ribs was an awful bitterness from them being over cooked, and the corn bread ‘muffin’ was actually a dried out cup cake sized item. If it was what I know proper BBQ to be, you could just about justify the price (even paying £4.90 for 12 chips), but it’s not. Far from it. The portions are stingy too, but considering it’s awful, why would you want more.

Went to the bluewater restaurant last night food arrived 5 min after we ordered which leads me to believe the food isnt freshly cooked bad service we had to chase down the waitress for drinks and the basics such as salt and sauce already bad experience then after haven eaten half of my cold ribs to then being up all night being sick totally horrendous evening didn't expect to pay £140 to be given food poisoning
Manager’s rude and disrespectful behaviour
Completely disrespectful behaviour by the manager of big Easy Kings Road restaurant (Jonathan)!!
I asked to talk to the manager about a feedback/ complaint with the food and he didn’t even care to come (although i saw he was informed by his colleague) until the third time he was told about me asking to talk to him. When he finally came, he didn’t even bother to listen my question/ feedback and stepped away when i was still talking to him- disrespectful and unbelievably rude behaviour! Big easy had to fix that somehow because other than that (him) the food is very nice and i like the restaurant in general!
I hope since he didn’t bother to listen to me - he reads this review at least and fixes his behaviour/ attitude to the clients!
When i asked for his name to write a review he was provocative enough to write me down the management email address and ask me to forward my complaint there as well! Of course he didn’t apologise or said it was a misunderstanding when i said the reason of the review is about me talking to him and him stepping away while i was still speaking which is very rude!!

Our food was brought out cold inedible then the staff are rude when we reported our meal was cold and overpriced for terrible food & service big easy con we will not be visiting again awful restaurant.
Not value for money food was cold
Both me and my partner food was cold even though it's served on a hot skillet plate, which was also cold. Won't be coming back to big easy as this is the second time I have had a bad experience regarding the food. The last time it was at canary wharf for which I didn't get a reply to my complaint. I must say though the staff customer service is 5* they made us feel welcoming and they were very friendly, it ashame the food didn't live up to the same standards. Definitely not value for money
My time at the Big Easy
I didn't know what to expect from iur trip to the Big Easy but i can say that it was first class from being seated to ordering our meal nothing was to much trouble.
Thankyou for a lovely experience
Bluewater poor
Having been to Covent Garden branch I was very happy they opened one at bluewater.
We love the lobster roll so I ordered the original lobster roll and chips and my girlfriend ordered california lobster roll (added avocado)
When it arrived there was hardly any lobster in both our rolls no big chunks just tiny bits that would fill a desert spoon if separated from the lettuce.
Definitely not worth the £72.00 !
(That included a shandy and glass of wine)
Shame if this is their new standards as we won't go back.
Just avoid here
If its an independent restaurant then fine it can be awful. But this restaurant is a chain and if they can't have food up to standard as Covent Garden or Canary Wharf then they shouldn't use the Big Easy brand. The restaurant wasn't busy yet the service was slow from the waiters. The wings were cold. The managers were unhelpful when told about the quality of the food. Don't waste your time or money coming here for Shrimp Tuesday they are well overcooked and the batter is awful. Covent Garden has a much better service, food quality and atmosphere
Caterpillar in my food!
Booked my family of 8 for late Christmas celebrations at 7:30PM. No food arrival until 8:55PM during this time we had to ask twice for waiters to check on our food as the first waiter did not bother getting back to us. When they finally did, the response was only ‘it’ll be here soon’. The careless waiters looked as though they’ve lost the will to even exist dragging their feet, let alone serve customers. That I could only try to look pass as the restaurant looked busy but none of the staff making any effort whatsoever.
Food arrives and we had ordered 3 different types of steak, waiter had no idea which was which and proceeded to serve us any whilst we asked which steak it was he just kept saying steak. Another waiter past by so we asked him instead, but by that point some of us had already tucked in from being starving after the hour long wait. Only to notice straight after a caterpillar wriggling on top of the salad.
Appetite ruined.
We called the waiter over to explain the situation but he had no idea what to do and left to find a manager. A manager comes over unapologetically and asked to take the plate back to the kitchen not listening to what we had to say he hastily removed the plate. Another manager (Luca) was sent over to our table and by this point my patience had already worn thin. I explained our entire experience to him whilst he stared at me blankly, again unapologetic, no urgency to resolve the situation or understanding at all. He explained that the salad comes in fresh during the day and is washed, but the kitchen must have missed this. This is a complete and utter lack of care and attention, with over an hour long wait this should be the last thing to have happened I exclaimed. He then told me that he’d remove from the bill the plate that had the caterpillar and my order of lobster because I’d lost my appetite. In which I responded I will not be paying for anything.
He replied that I will be paying because some of my guests are still eating.
And how will you compensate my ruined evening? my lost of appetite? the wasted time in getting here only to sit and watch my company eat and how do I trust that the rest of the food has been handled hygienically? His response was to tell me that I was being rude for raising my voice and he was trying to speak to me nicely. From the moment we walked through the door to that very moment, not one of these incompetent staff members even smiled at us, the fact that he tried to even patronise me is an absolutely joke.
Only a discount was then suggested deducting a messily £71 to which I still paid £167 for the worst evening I’ve ever experienced.
