Disappointed

I ordered two sofas (one sofa bed and one standard sofa). They were delivered very late, nearly one month after the promised date. The delivery company refused to put the sofas together, even though Bolia promises delivery + installation. We attached the legs ourselves on these very heavy pieces of furniture.

Quality: the sofas are OK, but rather uncomfortable. The fabric looks wrinkly and the cushions don’t sit even. Sitting across the room, I can see the metal springs of the sofa bed under the cushions. For this premium price, I expected a premium design. Sadly it’s quite a disappointment.

On time delivery in my sitting room!

Thanks for your help Bolia. So far so good... I bought a sofa and got a 9 week delivery time. Sofa was delivered right on time to they day, no hassle. Delivered to my house and unpacked in place in my sitting room.
Product seems to be good quality... I'll come back in 10 years and tell you.
I tested the fabric they use by dipping samples in tea, red wine and balsamic vinegar... seems to come almost clean.
I wanted a non-feather based sofa and this was one of the few places that make good ones.

First Bolia has experienced and well…

First Bolia has experienced and well informed sales persons which advises me very well in de Utrechtsestraat store in Amsterdam.
Secondly the delivery process of my couch went very well. One day prior to the delivery I was called by Sera of the transport company who informed me the pack details. So I was able to adjust and thus on the delivery moment it went very smooth.

Delivery promise not kept

Haven't unpacked the mirror yet. I'm sure it's great. My 2-star review is based purely on the fact that the website promises that delivery includes the product being carried into your apartment. This did not happen. It was delivered to the front door of our building and the courier refused to help carry it up 1 flight of stairs. My partner was sore for a couple days afterwards as he carried it up by himself. It also increased the risk that the mirror would break. Disappointing.

Service was excellent from the moment…

Service was excellent from the moment we walked into the shop. And when we made a mistake by ordering a table that was too big, the staff made me feel totally comfortable that it was not a mistake that i would have to pay for with blood, but that i could exchange easily for the smaller table. It was wall great!

Stunning quality furniture and very good service

I have been loving Bolia for a long time, but it was not until last year, when I changed houses, that I started to buy into their collection.

I started with the North couch and I ended up buying there every single piece of furniture and area rugs that are in my house! I looked into so many different places to buy the furniture, but I was always circling back to Bolia. I couldn't find anything I really like elsewhere.

Not only their collection is absolutely stunning, but also their customer service is top. They are extremally helpful and always willing to advise and accommodate your needs.

I read some reviews here complaining about the prices and the delivery services. Of course prices are not cheap, but the materials and quality of their pieces cannot be expected to be sold for a cheap price point. You pay what you get.
These pieces are made to be used for years to come and they are really an investment. Also, many times they have huge discounts and there is always an outlet section with very affordable pieces.
In regards the deliveries, I have never experienced any issue and I have changed deliveries myself many times (to combine different orders) and never had a problem.

Bolia is definitely one of the best designer furniture stores you can find and an absolute reference in the Scandinavian design style.

beautiful sofa, good service

I looked at a lot of sofas before I picked one from Bolia. I liked that they had the sofa I was considering (though different fabric) in the store so I could sit on it and see it in person. At other places, I was trying to visualize this seat, with that back, at the height of that piece over there with this leg I can hold in my hand, and a chaise that wasn't available to see in the store. I'm fine with fewer options if I can actually see the one I'm looking to buy.

The price was steep, but I get 25% off emails from them constantly. At 25% off it was comparable to other sofas.

The shipment was delayed by one week and I got about a months notice that that would be the case. In the current context, that's perfectly reasonable, and it still arrived two months earlier than the estimate from another place.

It's only been a couple of weeks, but I'm quite happy with the sofa I bought. It's beautiful and very comfortable. I would definitely buy from Bolia again, though I wish they had showrooms that were in other parts of the country.

Very bad experience and poor customer service

Unfortunately a very bad experience. First in the shop where the staff was borderline rude. I ordered online, the delivery is wrong and instead of owning their mistake, customer service deflects . Still no resolution. Appalling!

Received quickly and in good shape but bad dimming

Received quickly and in good shape. Once installed it seems that it rarely dims (in-store I felt like it went up and down dimming, and at home I click the button and it barely dims).

I bought many things from Bolia: massive couch, chairs, kitchen table, carpet, coffee table and a dining table. All were delivered at once. I am happy with all the products, but delighted about the couch. Absolutely beautiful. Will definitely buy more smaller things from Bolia. The delivery of the furniture was on time and as planned. The person who delivered and installed the furniture (he said he works 3.5 years for Bolia) was so pleasant, and patient and did a great job. Although pricy, I find it is worth it.

I was asked to write a review about my experience with Bolia the Netherlands and yes: I had a positive experience, I bought a relatively cheap item via their webshop and all went as planned. The shippingcosts where actually quite low and normal for an item <€100,-. I wanted to order more items online but I was quite shocked what the costs for transport where in those cases. I would advice Bolia to work with transport companies who can offer fixed prices and perhaps even beter: just include the transport costs into your price per product. Reason for mentioning this is also because I went through a few experiences from other customers and I’m really wondering if the Danish management even reads/ is aware of what their Dutch customers give for feedback. It almost brings tears to your eyes and for me it’s a reason to not buy something from Bolia anymore. Of course not (only) because of the exceptional prices for transport but more about their customer service which seems to be non existing. Yes replies on trustpilot are given politely but I do not get the feeling that issues are solved correctly and let alone immediately. So my first experience with Bolia for a small item bought online was good but after reading the feedback of other Dutch customers I will not buy something of real value. I wrote this in English just to make sure that non Dutch speaking HO people from Bolia will hopefully save and improve their customer experience ASAP.

Natuurlijk luisteren wij naar de feedback van alle ons klanten. De feedback betreffend lagere kosten in verband met levering of zelfs gratis levering hebben wij doorgegeven aan onze logistieke afdeling en zij nemen dit natuurlijk tot zich. Helaas is dit niet iets wat wij gauw kunnen implementeren, maar wij hebben het zeker in ons achterhoofd.

Verder nog spijt het ons zeer dat je de indruk hebt gekregen dat wij problemen niet correct oplossen. Wij willen altijd graag goede service aanbieden aan onze klanten en alle oplossing zijn in overleg met de klant, zodat zij alsnog tevreden zijn.

Beautiful design!

I am so happy with the two orders we made! Great quality and beautiful outstanding design!!!
Delivery was on time, good organised, friendly and everything came packaged carefully. The Zen rug is a piece of art, looks amazing in our living room. I am also very pleased with the poef, it’s eye-catching! Now i am waiting for my third order, a beautiful side table, can’t wait to see it. I ordered all online, it worked fine.

Very rude and the lady hang up !!!!

Today they were very rude at the Phone and the lady hang up. If you order what is in stock you still have to wait 3 days to pick it up.

I got a new couch when I told Bolia the…

I got a new couch when I told Bolia the one I orderd was too soft and saggy. Now I have a new one which is more firm. In 5 weeks time it was done nd dusted. Both times the delivery was efficient and pleasant!
