Bradfords - Crewkerne BBS Reviews 

Ordered mortar for click and collect at Crewkerne as my local branch didn’t have it in stock. I phoned the branch to double check after placing my order and was told it would be ready to pick up.

I arrived to find they didn’t have any in stock and all they could offer me was a refund for wasting my time. In fairness they tried to see if another branch could get it delivered and the staff was friendly.

My first time using Bradfords, so my first impressions are not good. I’m sure I’ll give them a 2nd chance, but for now I’ll stick with Screwfix, Jewsons or Toolstation.

Reason for posting this review now is because I received an email today asking me to review the product I never got. They need to improve their website and integrated email.

An item was mis-picked but after a phone call the depot resolved it straight away and picked up and replaced items without fuss

Great Customer service from the Crewkerne branch when discussing delivery days.

We had a huge delivery from Bradfords today. Organised with Leah who was a star as the order was added to several times - she is amazingly patient. Delivered with a smile and courtesy by Tim - nothing was too much trouble and I was so thankful he made the delivery easy. These lanes can be difficult but he was brilliant. Excellent service thank you so much

Good service but not easy to find item in yard.

I used the 'click and collect' system that is currently in force and found it very straightforward. Immediate e-mail confirmation that the material I needed was in stock, followed up by a telephone call from a helpful lady at my local [Crewkerne] depot to say the goods were ready to be picked up. I know that my order was only for a small DIY job, but it allowed me to carry on with the task!

Staff at Crewkerne in the Office and the Yard were their normal cheerful selves even though the Covid Caper must be causing you all a lot of extra work.

My experience of Bradfords has been excellent. In the past I would normally visit a showroom or yard and place an order. During the virus lockdown I have placed an order online, it worked very well.
If I have further requirements that can be ordered online, I will certainly Use this method.

On Friday 5th June at 11.13 am I ordered 4 bags of gravel and one of Sharp Sand for collection. The auto generated email confirming the order advised that someone would give me a call so we could arrange a collection time. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday came and went with no call. On Wednesday afternoon I tried calling several times. The phone rang and rang and finally stopped ringing. No answer. Thursday I tried again and again, it rang out with no answer. On Friday morning I checked my bank account only to find that Bradfords had taken my money on 7th June (two days after my order). I still had not received any phone call. I decided to visit the Crewkerne site and when I arrived and explained the situation to the young man, there was no apology, just a "well I don't know what happened here", somewhat mumbled at that. He did sort the order for me but to be honest, I am less than impressed with the service I received. To be honest, I really wouldn't recommend anyone using the Crewkerne branch of Bradfords if they want good service.

Helpful and friendly, quick delivery earlier then expected.

Ordered on line, no response from local branch, called them and lo and behold they knew all about it. Told I could come in immediately a collect items.
Came in with a trailer due to length of planks, after loading and paperwork followed exit signs as usual, only to end up in a car park with very little opportunity to turn the trailer around. When I complained to staff, was told 'the exit sign is no longer correct'. I got blank looks when I suggested that it should be crossed out with some red tape!!
Saving grace was that there was another exit, which was kindly unlocked for me.
Bradfords Crewkerne has served me very well over the last 30 years, but covid 19 seems to be stretching the organisational skills a little.

Excellent fast service in fact the decking I ordered arrived a day earlier than originally quoted .

Items deliver on time very helpful staff

Despite the Covid lockdown the staff were expecting me and were helpful from a distance as I put the cement and boards into my car.

Once backlog cleared delivered as agreed.
