AVOID BUDGETAIR AT ALL COST!

Bought tickets to Almaty through this company, but after some time the airline cancelled our flight(Way before the COVID-19 quarantine). Asked Budget Air for a refund and they agreed but told that our baggage fee is not refundable as per airline conditions. I contacted the airline and they said that it's not the case and then i asked Budget Air to show me where those conditions are mentioned and they just didn't answer.
Our friends who bought tickets to the same flight on through Budget Air received full refund including the baggage fee. They won't answer any call or emails!
I still try to contact them but it seems that they blocked my email because all the options to contact them through their site is greyed out for me.

This company is a fraud - be aware!

Budgetair cancelled my ticket 9 weeks ago, still haven’t received any refund from them, despite the fact that Air China sent me a proof saying that they refunded my ticket to budgetair.lv 4 weeks ago. I am more likely to believe AirChina rather than this company because my husband booked his ticket through air china official website and he got his refund really quick - 10 days.

Please be aware of this fraud company

Do NOT under ANY circumstances use this service. Their customer service in non-existant. I needed to change was flight and was told that as it was booked the same day it would be possible, but that I needed to call them immediately. Cue FIVE hours waiting on the phone. After each hour they hang up on you. The only way to get hold of them was through the customer service on their website. I was passed from person to person. And on the fifth hour of being on hold they told me I had to book a new flight at twice the price of the one I'd already booked. So because they didn't answer the phone, I completely lost out on several hundred pounds. NEVER EVER EVER use Budget Air.

I probably should have checked the…

I probably should have checked the ratings before using this company. They seem to be making life so difficult to get your money back. In my situation the airline have already agreed to refund and messaged this to all agents. Still budgetair keeps asking for us to ask the airline to add it to the notes. There is not service and it seems like a scam to keep the money themselves. Well for sure not recommend using this agent.

After several more emails back and forward I really really advise people not to use this company. I am convinced now that this company is just trying to scam money from people. Again after contacting our airline directly it’s confirmed that all the agent have to do it call the airline so they can agree to get a refund. Apparently the agent can’t do that and asking me to set up a conference call with the airline. I have for sure Lerner my lesson and will always book directly with the airline, but in case you consider a booking agent DONT use this one!!!

Thanks for the clarification of how it works in terms of keeping funds etc. unless the airline is actually telling a lie, let’s assume not as I have talked to several people independently of each other then it should be a simple case of budgetair asking for a refund as I am not able to do it myself. But after 10+ emails back and forward I have not received any real help. I have been asked to set up a conference call with the airline and budget air and told that budgetair is not even allowed to contact the airline which must make your business close to impossible if this is actually the case. And given replies to other customers here on trustpilot seems like you fortunately are allowed to talk to the airline. Every answer back from the “customer service” seems to be an attempt to get rid of me and dis encourage me to continue with the case. If you can help out that would indeed be great. Thanks

Thanks for the good service Florian. I talked to Qantas again this morning. They said that the waiver is mentioned in a note that should be accessible by agents including yourself. But if there is any doubt you should reach out to/call a dedicated qantas agents Connect team. They should also be able to see the waiver note. Thanks Florian for all your help. I note your message on the feedback from the carrier which i should not always take as the truth. i will consider this going forward. as a note from my side to the company. The service i have received from you have been great. This has not been the case when talking to some of your colleagues. Here we didnt get anywhere and as an example i was told they were not able to talk to the carrier which clearly was not correct. If all provided the same service as you then that would be great.

As for the 2 bookings we are talking about (BDK-0339557 and BDK-0339549). I have send relevant pictures from the family passports showing the stamp of us leaving Shanghai Jan 22. Our flight was on the 3rd of Feb.

Please note that before our action, the airline had not confirmed any waiver or refund. We had to convince the airline to authorize these.
Opposing your initial review, which you had left here, the airline had been lying to you, not us.For the future, we kindly recommend you to reconsider all facts before dropping wild allegations on whichever company you are dealing with.Very often, airlines' customer service staff prefer to tell passengers what they want to hear, just to be able to end a potentially difficult phone call. Please kindly keep that in mind.

They are cheaters

Missed flight because they did not send e-ticket in time.
We purchased 3 tickets and recieved booking reference via email. The purchase was made within 24 hours to the flight time, but they have never mentioned during the process that there is a possibility to not get our tickets on time however they sent me an email saying that they will send us the e-ticket "LATER TODAY". The email came on the 19th of January and our flight was 20th morning. So we went to check in the next early morning with our 1,5 year old little baby and the airways company refused to check us in saying we do not have a ticket. I tried to call BudgetAir's emergency number and when thy finally picked up the ticket the desk was already closed. But this is not their biggest mistake. After we could finally get someone to talk to us he said :"its our fault that we left for the airport without e-tickets because their company has 24 hours to issue the ticket after the purchase and we are still within 24 hours." So they simply cancelled the ticket and said they will send the money back to my account. However the money has not arrived yet and since this happened I try to get on hold of their management and aksed them to send me their terms and conditions so that my legal representative could go through it but they only repeting the same thing. Sorry we send you back the money and that the airways refused their effort to book our flights and the could not do anything. Well they could have informed us a couple of hours before the flight. So we lost 2 days of our holiday in our next destination, we had to pay taxe 3 times, extend our accomodation in the hotel we stayed and we lost our non refundable reservation on our next destination.

Avoid Budgetair If You Possibly Can

I have had a regrettable experience booking on their website. The site wouldn't take my payment and gave me an error message so I aborted the transaction. A week later £1036 was debited from my Amex card. Budgetair have been lamentably disinterested in engaging with me and an appeal to the CAA and and Amex chargeback seems my only option. They are not the cheapest and their after sales service is embarrassing. For an extra £20 I subsequently booked direct with the airline.......... you live and learn.... Give these cowboys a wide berth.

Pathetic Company

If it was possible to give this company a -10, then I would do that. That are terrible and not professional. I made a change to a booking and made payment. Arrived at the airport and there was no booking. Spend almost 5hours on the phone with people in India...their call centre and they couldn't assist me and refused to refund me. I had to make another booking and I did this through another professional company. Booking at budgetair is a huge risk

Ticket cancellation - No refund 20 days passed

Ticket cancellation - No reply / update about refund
Booking number - BSE-0628315
I have cancelled my ticket on November 14. I got automated reply saying within 5 days i will get email about refund and summary of amount of refund i will get.
So far its been 20 days. i have not got any refund and updates about refund. I doubt now whether i will get refund or not.

Disappointed with this bad service

If it was possible I would give some minus stars.
My friend got tickets through this website. Due to horrible accident we had to postpone the trip (he is in the hospital and it will take months, possibly over a year for his even be able to move).
First of all, no one answers their phone, no one responds to emails, finally after 2 weeks trying to contact them I got a response on their FB.
I have provided all necessary medical documentation, and was told that response will be given back after 7 working days.
It’s been over two weeks - i am still waiting for some sort of official letter.
I have been dealing with this since beginning of June!
Show some respect!

Impossible to get in contact with over…

Horrible service, and unreliable. Impossible to get in contact with over the phone. I cancelled my flight, and did not get my money back within the time-span they said I would get them. In addition to this, when I tried to contact them, they never answered the phone, even within the openinghours. Haven't seen my money yet (aprox 4000 dkk) and am not able to get in contact with them.

Never buy or book via BudgetAir unless you want to be cheated !!!
My case noted on no.6028861 with all proofs.
I bought 2 air ticket for flight Bogota-Quito-Bogota - booking no. BLV-0683713.
This flight on that date (November 4, 2018) was canceled by airline TAME which informed me that there will be no flight to Quito on that day.
I informed the Budget Air about the cancellation of the flight and asked me to refund the airfare for a flight that did not exist. Only after 10 e-mails answered my mail. First I was convinced that there was a flight (I was wondering who is crazy here) and that I should go to the airport !?! In November 2018, BudgetAir understands that the flight still does not exist and informs me that it will open the case to refund my money. After 10-15 days, they informed me that they would return my money and that the case was resolved and that the new one would pay me after 15 working days.
Today is 5.Mart I DO NOT TAKE MONEY INTO TODAY !!!
I sent them 20 mails to give me an answer - THIS DOES NOT WANT TO ANSWER TO MY MAIL.

Horrible service

Horrible service, never seen something like this... Phone number for customers +37166090753 nobody respond more than 10 times. Answer is allways - number you dialed is not able to answer.
Some time ago they gave me "voucher gift" but this gift is not visible in my account (there is tab "discount vouchers"), and it is not problem that voucher is not visible - but nobody is able to say why! And nobody wants to help. I had to send over 15 emails to Skyscanner and to all BudgetAir subsidaries to get help. On top of all some guy called me at 23.30h... Crazy!!
Finally, during waiting for any answer, price of my ticket increased for 30%.
AVOID BudgetAir IN ANY CASE!!!

Fraudulent Presentation - Airhelp is a fraud!

When I booked me and my colleague's ticket to Asia Budgetair offered a service called AirHelp. To the cost of € 25/pp Airhelp would assist us with the refund when and if the flight was severely delayed.
At the return, one of the lags was delayed 30 hours (!!!!) without explanation. Airhelp just answered that they are still after four months trying to get in touch with the airline (???).
If Budgetair is offering this service and charge for it at the same time as payment is done for the ticket, without taking any action it is Fraudulent Presentation, which is illegal. DO NOT pay for AirHelp when booking your flight.
Last time ever I book my tickets with Budgetair.
