Horrible service

Horrible service, never seen something like this... Phone number for customers +37166090753 nobody respond more than 10 times. Answer is allways - number you dialed is not able to answer.
Some time ago they gave me "voucher gift" but this gift is not visible in my account (there is tab "discount vouchers"), and it is not problem that voucher is not visible - but nobody is able to say why! And nobody wants to help. I had to send over 15 emails to Skyscanner and to all BudgetAir subsidaries to get help. On top of all some guy called me at 23.30h... Crazy!!
Finally, during waiting for any answer, price of my ticket increased for 30%.
AVOID BudgetAir IN ANY CASE!!!

Fraudulent Presentation - Airhelp is a fraud!

When I booked me and my colleague's ticket to Asia Budgetair offered a service called AirHelp. To the cost of € 25/pp Airhelp would assist us with the refund when and if the flight was severely delayed.
At the return, one of the lags was delayed 30 hours (!!!!) without explanation. Airhelp just answered that they are still after four months trying to get in touch with the airline (???).
If Budgetair is offering this service and charge for it at the same time as payment is done for the ticket, without taking any action it is Fraudulent Presentation, which is illegal. DO NOT pay for AirHelp when booking your flight.
Last time ever I book my tickets with Budgetair.

Don't use them

Don't use them. If you have to use them, don't use trustly to withdraw the money (so that you can give the money back from credit card company somehow still)

Book a trip, paid with trustly and didn't get any emails afterwards. Luckily I saved my booking number or this money is gone forever. Support phone number is always busy. Wrote them an email and they said the ticket is now more expensive and I have to pay more money to get it. I decide to get my money back. Hopefully they are telling the truth...

They are not Swedish company, be careful.

Be careful.

Platform told me the check-in luggage is 23kg. Good, because one of the main reasons for my trip was to carry stuff from one home to another.

Get ticket after paying, actually it's 20kg allowed.

Write them an email, get response "sorry, it was a mix-up, it's actually 20kg." two times. I ask them to call me - they ignore my polite request.

Cheap low quality service.

No flight but money was taken.

I tried to book a flight from them with Trustly payment. Something in the transaction failed as I didn't get the flight but the money was still taken. I have now fought 1,5 weeks with their rubbish customer support without getting my money back yet.

Ebookers should stop linking to them. Don't get flights from them. What ever you do, don't pick the Trustly payment method. It had a 150SEK discount and now I know why. Its now my responsibility to get the thing fixed and they make it purposefully really difficult. BudgetAir, such a rubbish company.

Absolutely terrible experience

There was a mistake my ticket where my last name was included in my first name and when I wanted to fix it the company said I needed to cancel my ticket (for a large fee of 1125 DKK) and then re-book it. The problem is that the ticket prices have greatly gone up since last week so this is not at all an option anymore! Now I have to cancel all 3 tickets for 1125 DKK each as my family won't be traveling without me

I am not sure that this company is…

I am not sure that this company is registered in sweden or not? please help? If yes, where is their registered office in sweden and organisation number which I wanted to check before using this website?
Please help as i could not find anything on their website before buying my tickets..

- Swedish site that can't handle…

- Swedish site that can't handle characters such as "Å"/"Ä"/"Ö"
- Got a confirmation on the webpage that my payment was successful but not my booking!
- Was directed to call a support nr - calling the number I get information about that the support is closed and the opening hours can be found on the webpage (which was hard to find).
- Calling at office hours ,10-16, and only get at machine voice on repeat that everyone is occupied.

Don't use this site. It's should be banned!

No e-ticket despite full payment.

I got my ticket from budget air, but had to change my flight date after the purchase of ticket. I made the request for flight change and paid the fees of changing the flight a week ago, but despite making the full payment, I still have not received my e-ticket. I had paid for a premium service package, so I called their so called customer service multiple times during a week and was put on hold for nearly 1 hour and half every time. They confirmed receiving of the payment, but every single time they said they would send the e-ticket after the call. After a week and multiple calls I still have no ticket.

The company is cheating and taking …

The company is cheating and taking money from the customers. I tried to book a flight and somehow back flight date changed one week. I found it out and wrote them if they can change the flight date or cancel it. They said if they will start looking 55€ should be vaid extra and it isn't possible. In the same time the prices for that day increased so that for new ticket I should bay 2times more than there and back flight. I'm very disappointed.

Best prices, but needs improvement in customer service

First of all they have the best prices in the web. I have bought several times tickets from them and they have either the lowest price among several search engines and the airline company or the same.

Second - I read many bad reviews before I bought my first ticket with them about how they did not refund customers in different circumstances, so I would like to share my positive experience.

I’m from Bulgaria and there is no dedicated webpage of BudgetAir for my country, so I was redirected from BudgetAir.com to BudgetAir.lv (Latvia is country of origin of the company). Few weeks after I bought my non-refundable tickets, the airline company changed drastically their schedule (with 9 hours difference in arrival time) and the itinerary was not suitable for me anymore. So I wanted to get in touch with BudgetAir and change the flight. First I wrote them e-mail as reply to the notification for the changed schedule, but didn’t receive any answer in a day. Then I called BudgetAir and I spoke with some guy, explained the situation and explained which alternative flight I want to get from the same airline company, he promised to check if possible and call me back, but he never did. So definitely BudgetAir could improve a lot on their customer service, but they are not a scam – bear with me.

The next day I called again and I got on the phone with another lady from support called Sonia and from here on everything went smooth. The shorty story – I managed to cancel the entire flight and book a new flight with another airline from another town instead, with no cancellation fee, although my tickets were non-refundable. I got my refund about a month later (yes it takes time, but this is issue with the airline companies, not BudgetAir).

On another note – during my second booking there was some issue with their web page and I didn’t manage to use one of my cards that was giving me the best offer (Maestro), so I had to use my AmEx and I got the tickets with 50 EUR higher price. I spoke with them about that and I got these 50 EUR refunded to my card in 2 days.

So they definitely do refunds, when they are supposed to, but it might take some time - depending on the circumstances.

Never tries

I bought a airplane ticket and when I went to the check in the airplane company told me that there was a problem with the reservation so I did not flight.
It was impossible to contact the customer service because it is closed at weekends!!!
Never tries this experience.
At the end by email they said that they refund only the airport taxes!!

THEY ARE THIEFS

I've bought two tickets from Lisbon to LA from BudgetAir and it came to a nice price of 676€ with the company norwegian... but one day latter for curiosity I went to see how much was the trip if I booked from Norwegian and it is 100€ more cheep. I contacted Norwegian and they said the process was very simple. I just had to cancel the tickets with Budget Air and buy with Norwegian again.

But the Thiefs of Budget Air (That give bad publicity) said they could do that because the company didn't allowed it.

DON'T BUY FROM THEM I WAS CHEETED AND MY LAWYER IS NOW TACKING MEASURES TOWARDS THEM

Dont trust them!

Hello people,
How would u feel if someone is not giving your 900 EUR back and simply delaying your requests.
After a long wait of 3 months, still i am not getting my money back, budget air and the airlines are blaming each other and I am the one who is suffering(it does not even look kike they are in partnership as they are bluntly blaming each other)
I dont know who is trying to steal my money here but if i didnt receive my money after a long wait of 3 months then something is going on here.

Money out, no tickets, no response!

Hi,

I've booked a flight from Thessaloniki to Santorini for me and 2 more friends. The booking was made on May 5th. 4 days ago (May 24th) I sent an e-mail asking about the tickets. They answer me saying that they have already sent me an e-mail on May 10th saying there was a problem during the booking process, the booking was cancelled and the money was already refound to my PayPal account. I checked everything and nor an e-mail on May 10th was received, neither the money was refound to my PayPal or Debit Card account. I tried again to call, sent an e-mail, everything, and until now no response.

In the end I am with no tickets and no money. Please help me to get out of this situation ASAP.

BEWARE BUDGETAIR

I recently booked a flight for 4 people from New York to Miami costing around £95 per ticket. When I got my booking through to email, I immediately noticed that the date was incorrect. As this was at 10.30pm on a Sunday night, the offices at Budgetair were closed so I was forced to wait until the next morning to contact them. I sent an email in the interim and rang them as soon as their offices were open. I was left on hold for so long that I had to abandon the call and try again on my lunch hour. After being on hold for another 25 minutes I finally got through to speak to someone. The operative was unsympathetic and sounded exasperated. I hoped that as I had made the booking less than 24 hours before and US Airways do not charge for cancellation or amendment within 24 hours of booking it would not be too much of a problem. I was informed that I would have to pay £132 plus Budgetair’s admin fee PER TICKET! The woman on the other end of the phone said that it was US Air that were charging the fee and not Budgetair and that the tickets were 100% NON REFUNDABLE!

My current situation is that I can pay 1 and half times more that the tickets themselves to change the date or lose my £400 completely and buy new tickets.

I am absolutely disgusted at the customer service and policies of this ‘Travel Agent’. I am a returning customer of Skyscanner and as they call this their agent, I booked through instead of the airline itself. The tickets were not profoundly cheaper, they were just the first on the list so I cannot see ANY benefit to the customer by booking with Budgetair.

I cannot understand how any company can risk losing forward business in the current trading environment. I will NEVER use this company again and would very strongly advise people to avoid at all costs. I have sent two emails to the customer service asking for a breakdown of cost for changing the booking. They ‘endeavour to respnd to emails within 48 hours’. The last one was sent 10 days ago and I have not had a response.

Shame on you Budgetair. I may have made an error on the booking page but I would not have any confidence that they would be understanding or cooperative if you had to amend your travel in an emergency. In no other industry would you hand over money and be told that you cannot have it back under any circumstances.

Awful experience, still waiting for refund

This company sold me and my son a non-existing reservation for a trip from VNO to JFK on 2 January (reservation number 8EKWQ4). I realized that only on 11 January, one day prior to departure, when the airlines refused check-in. After spending 4+ hours waiting for someone to answer my call, finally reached an agent who could only apologize for some fault on their side and offer a refund, suggesting also that I should start searching for new reservation myself. I accepted that without arguing, as budgetair had already lost any credibility by that time. I did receive the invoice for refund the same day. However, it has been one week since that invoice, and no actual refund transferred to my account. I was surprised to see on this page how many customers went through the same nightmare of disregard by this company, which led to painful stress, failed plans, additional expenses, etc. And yet, this company continues to do the same. I consider escalating this case with ECC-Net, IATA, Mastercard, Skyscanner.net, Dutch authorities and others to get my money back.
