City Sound Secondary Glazing Reviews 

I engaged City Sound to address noise issues in my main road facing apartment. The team are prompt and professional as well as competitive on price. The results have exceeded all expectations. I was looking for sound reduction but pretty much achieved sound elimination. I would highly recommend this company. Very easy to deal with, very honest and a great product.

City Sound installed secondary glazing in our house in Richmond in 2014. We live on a busy road. The secondary glazing was a huge improvement for sound and thermal insulation. Much better than triple glazing. Recently, during a renovation of our house, we contacted them to have a secondary glazing door removed and re-installed. It was not a huge job and it required cutting the glass. They have done a wonderful job again.
They are excellent value for money, the windows look sleek and are non-invasive. The installation team were professional, knowledgeable, polite in 2014 and also this second time. Removing and re-fitting the door was tricky but they were really helpful and happy to adjust to the brief rather than proposing a straight replacement.
We are very happy with the result. We think they are an excellent company to deal with, good value for money and the secondary windows and door look great and are very efficient. We are very happy to recommend them.

City Sound arranged for prompt surveys before installation, and a prompt final installation, keeping me well informed of my options and pricing throughout.

The secondary glazing I ultimately opted for is better than I dared to hope for. City Sound were transparent and up-front about not being able to offer 100% noise blocking, but rather indicated I could expect 40-50% reduction in noise. I worried it might all be not worth doing in the end, but they have easily achieved that level of reduction and then some. The difference is really noticeable and has brought the noise down to barely discernible levels - I no longer need to worry about guests stopping the night in that room being disturbed by traffic noise. And the glazing itself is astonishingly discreet - again I worried it might turn out to be too obtrusive, but I can barely tell it is there (even with a very large c.150x150cm glazing). I am pleased also to have the benefit of their 12-year warranty and have no doubt in the unlikely event I get any problems with the glazing they'll get it sorted. To have all that and a very reasonable price too means I really can't hesitate to recommend the team enough.

Having been living in a London conservation area for 2 years, my wife and I decided to have secondary glazing installed across the whole of the front of the house to insulate the original single glaze.

We chose City Sound over the other quotes due to the professional pre-sales experience all round, and the competitive price.

The team that came to fit the product were some of the best trades persons we have had the pleasure of having in our home, they were punctual, polite and the standard of work and product is excellent. There was a minor issue with the manufacturer of 1 of the panes which was pointed out by the fitting team on site and rectified with no issue at all with a new unit a few days later

The admin team then duly sent out quote which was a lot better than we had anticipated. The fitters arrived on time and were polite and courteous and did a very neat job in a couple of hours. We are so delighted with the end result. I was slightly concerned that the secondary glazing would detract from the look of the windows but they almost enhance it. The noise reduction is also amazing. Looking forward to many more peaceful nights sleep. I would definitely recommend this company.

I needed secondary glazing as we live on a busy road in Crouch End in North London. I discovered City Glazing and spoke with Andy who runs the business. I was really impressed with their product as it looked so inconspicuous and of good quality. I was also really impressed with their reviews online. My wife and I are delighted with the results. The glazing is as inconspicuous as we hoped for and the noise has been significantly reduced in both our bedroom and lounge. They both feel like spaces for relaxation now rather than always being aware of the noise from the road.

The sound reduction is AMAZING I live on a busy London road I hear nothing anymore it is better than I could have hoped for. Very professional. From the visit of the surveyor to measure up our windows in order to provide a quote, to the communications with the customer service team, through to the fitting of the secondary glazing itself - everything was done very well. I was also able to visit the office/workshop, in order to see a model of the style of window which we wanted (and went on to purchase). The fitters were very quick and cleaned up well afterwards - they also took our old, broken secondary glazing away for disposal. Our new secondary glazing looks fantastic and the traffic noise from the busy road outside our home has been substantially reduced. Great value products and professional service.

I am very happy with the soundproofing to the two rooms. The work was completed efficiently and the finished work is unobtrusive in appearance and effectively reduces the traffic noise to an acceptable background hum. Would highly recommend.

Really excellent experience throughout
The entire team was a pleasure to deal with, incredibly responsive and helpful and professional. We needed a high level estimate on short notice which they were happy to give and the survey and installation all happened very easily and efficiently. The product itself is great and looks smart and slick. We were never let down at any stage in the process but rather all members of the team were always on time and produced everything to schedule which is very important to us. City Sound were efficient at all stages of our project, from the initial site survey & providing quotation to installation. The finished product has reduce noise from outside significantly, and also helps keep the rooms warmer. All in all, very good value from a very pleasant team.

I was a little anxious at first as the guy arrived at my apartment on an electric monocycle thing and was a little unusual BUT the windows are beautiful. This was tertiary "sound proof" windows for a central London apartment. They're like magic - you shut them with a "click" and suddenly it's like you're in a monastery (rather than a London street full of drunken Santa Clauses - seriously I kid you not). They also look like they belong there - they blend in and you really wouldn't ever notice that they're an addition. They also "pop" out for the window cleaners and are really easy to take care of. Everyone who has been in my apartment has said how amazing they are at deadening the sound and how good they look. They also keep out the drafts (I live in an old converted warehouse). So - definitely don't be put off if they seem a little unconventional - they do know what they are doing!

UPDATE: 3 years on and just wanted to say how happy I am. The reduction in my heating bills since I put this is has been a blessing. I put them in to reduce the noise but they have had so many additional benefits in terms of privacy and insulation. Thank you again!
