I would give no stars if possible

I would give no stars if possible. The girl that works on reception was rude and sarcastic. She needs to be in a job where she doesn't deal with the public because she doesn't have the basic skills needed to communicate. Awful service.

Excellent Service

Came quite quickly. Sorted the problem and followed me up to Motorist Shop to have a new battery fitted. Can't fault any of the service. Efficient, friendly, informative and reassuring.

Simply the driver..... Aaron

Simply the driver, Aaron. What an absolute star! He collected us, my wife and two boys as we'd broken down on our way to a concert. He took us back to Corby.
He was lovely, chatty and very caring.
To be honest it was a pleasure meeting him and it took away our disappointment in missing the concert.
I'd like to thank Aaron for his professionalism and support.

Appalling experience with Eggertons in…

Appalling experience with Eggertons in Carlisle. They sold my car without my consent, claiming they sent paperwork — I received nothing.!!! I had no idea where my car was until I found out it had been sold 2 months ago and ended up in Liverpool. The car was still registered in my name 2 months later and I received a parking fine!

Avoid

Undoubtedly one of the least professional companies I have ever encountered. The pay is minimal, and the hours are excessively long. They manipulated my work schedule, and the treatment I received from HR was terrible. After just a week with them, I realized their true nature. They cheated me and did not compensate me for what they owed. I strongly advise steering clear of this company.

In 2024, I worked for you over four days but did not receive any compensation. It lacks professionalism; after providing my bank details and confirming my start date, I never received payment for the days I worked.

Thieves!! Stole goods from car after I was Involved in a collision

Involved in a collision, vehicle was recovered on attending their yard in hirwaun to retrieve my things my car play screen was missing and car mats were also stolen. Bunch of thieving swines these lot do not use!

As discussed on our initial phone call before the investigation, you told us you had no evidence of us taking your property. Now that the Investigation has been completed, we found video evidence it was nothing to do with any of our staff. In future please do not leave fake or misleading reviews without any credible evidence. In addition, you have ignored multiple calls from us to explain our investigation. This is a clear direct attempt at damaging a companies reputation which has been unsuccessful.

Very unreliable and untrustworthy

Terrible customer service. Badly let down by this company when their operative let down our 81 year old mum on a cold December afternoon by not collecting her broken down car. They still charged us £255 for this non service. The next day Green Flag came down and collected the car without any problem and at a much cheaper rate. Mid January and they have not returned any money to us. Very poor.

Very poor service

Very poor service. This unhelpful and unresponsive company failed to take our broken down car away and then charged us £255. Over a month later we are still trying to get our money back and they are extremely slow and unhelpful in dealing with our complaint. Definitely would not recommend relying or dealing with them.

Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed. I’ve been sat waiting for a recovery truck, in sub zero temperatures, for over 3 hours now. I’m disabled, so can’t get out and walk around to warm myself up. I’ve lost a morning at work therefore lost a mornings pay. I’m really pissed off.

STAFF LEFT ME STRANDED AND DROVE OFF

Appalling behaviour from one of the employees who was sent to assist me after my car broke down. I suspected wrong fuel has been put in it, he outrightly said I was ignorant and negligent.

I simply asked if the price for the service was negotiable he began shouting at me, and caused a loud scene in the neighbourhood. His behaviour was threatening, unprofessional, and humiliating, with bystanders witnessing the entire ordeal. I was left feeling shocked and unsafe. I told the staff member that I am going to complain and he said he didn’t care and told me to do so.

He refused to even check my car. He didn’t look under the bonnet or carry out any checks whatsoever. Instead, he stormed off, got into his vehicle, and drove away, leaving me stranded without notifying anyone. For over three hours, I had no support or communication from your company, and no replacement was sent to assist me. I would like some compensation for the hours that has been wasted and stress your member of staff has put me through. I am also going to be writing reviews on trust pilot and Google about this disgraceful service. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO REPLY TO MY EMAIL.

Fantastic service

Called Green flag at about 8.15 this morning as had broken down in Deddington Oxfordshire , lovely lady took all the details and she advised that would be able to collect between 10.30 to 12.30 and edgertons would contact us , 10 mins later we were contacted by edgertons who advised that they had a free driver and would be with us between 9.00 and 9.15 . Tigger the driver from Baynards Green turned up just after 9 and he loaded our car so professionally and was very chatty and helpful, he dropped the car at the garage which we had requested which was only about 15 minutes away .He was very polite and told us everything he was going to do and why , I hope he gets the recognition he deserves

Extremely Disappointed with Egertons Recovery (Oxford)

I had an appalling experience with Egertons Recovery (Oxford) that has left me deeply frustrated and concerned about their integrity. While traveling on the A34 roundabout heading onto the M40 during a journey from Dorset to Chesterfield to deliver charity donations for a family affected by a house fire, an Egertons Recovery truck rolled into my car.

Shockingly, the driver fled the scene of the accident, leaving me to deal with the aftermath. Instead of taking responsibility for the incident, the management at Egertons Recovery appears to be actively obstructing the course of justice. Their behavior is not only unprofessional but also deeply concerning.

Accidents happen, but the refusal to take accountability, coupled with the driver’s failure to stop, is unacceptable and demonstrates a total lack of regard for other road users. I would strongly advise others to think twice before relying on this company.

I hope this review prompts them to take accountability and improve their practices, so no one else has to endure a similar experience.

Took his boots off and sorted the recovery for us and insurance company.
Others arrived and left the scene??

Shocking experience

I had a car trailer stolen from Northamptonshire that was recovered by Thames Valley Police and taken to the Baynards Green depot Oxfordshire.

Due to work commitments and not currently having a tow vehicle I was unable to collect for 21 days.
I was informed that I had to pay £685 release fee which they dropped to £504

Considering at no point before this was I informed of being responsible for any costs.

I also tried calling the depot directly on 10+ occasions with no answer and with the opening hours of 9-4 Monday to Friday I was unable to visit.

Considering that it’s my own property, damaged from the theft and cost me £500 I refuse to pay this ridiculous fee for what is my own property

£20+ a day storage for what is just a empty muddy puddle filled yard is a joke
.
I hope that the Police Forces find an alternative company to deal with.

I understand your frustration about having your trailer stolen and having to pay for someone else's actions.

Police fees are statutory, this is standard with any recovery company regardless of who's fault it is. Secondly, all recovery companies have storage costs. Many vehicles in our depot will be in storage where the driver is not at fault. Regardless of where the fault lies, every vehicle is subject to storage fees. This is standard procedure anywhere.

Regarding being unable to collect because of your work commitments, this is not our fault, its your responsibility to make arrangements for your vehicle.

Our team reduced the costs for you as a gesture of goodwill, we didn't have to do this and could have charged you the full price.

If you wish to discuss the matter further, your welcome to call in and discuss with our team at Head Office so we can explain the process.

I can assure you have not been over charged and Egertons have followed standard procedure on charges for your vehicle.

Flat battery after the freeze.

Having discovered that I had a flat battery in my car and was due to get it to the garage for an MOT I called Green Flag who directed the rescue to Egertons.
The lovely young man who arrived exactly when they said he would was extremely pleasant and had me sorted in no time. I was very impressed by the service from Egertons and would definitely recommend them.

My wife was stranded on the motorway this afternoon. After calling Green flag It was arranged for Egerton's to retrieve our car and take it to my local gas. The technician Stephen Hill arrived on time ,was polite, efficient, professional and delivered promptly. Thankyou for a great service. Five star.
