Good start then bad with a happy ending.
I ordered modern oak desk in November22 and paid for it via bank. We'had almost lost our faith we would receive goods or our money back. They were kept saying desk will be delivered next 2 weeks and so on. It was quite surprising to receive a tracking number at some point and desk delivered a few days later. Although waiting time and customer service experience was a bit of a nightmare, I must say desk is excellent and I am 100% happy with the furniture.
It is worth to mention that shop apologized on many occasions and offered a discount which was accepted and appreciated.
Poor service
So bad was promised a bed and three months still not come so had to cancel the order hardly ever answered my emails and when called always I call back or it’s on it’s way never again I am disappointed in this company
Furniture 5* , Delivery 2*
Furniture was great, really pleased with it. However there were issues with lack of communication regarding order progressing and delivery process. Due to the fact it was 6-8 weeks lead time and it was delayed further 3 weeks I believe we should have been informed better. I felt blind in the forest. At some point I thought I had lost my money and would never get the furniture. Finally, it arrived 3 hours later than the scheduled time slot. Furniture is amazing but I won’t be using them unless communication would be improved, and regular updates given.

Customer service was really good
Customer service was really good. Nice looking product. I had a few minor issues with putting the desk together and with one of the drawers, but this was resolved very quickly and fairly. I would definitely use Fromthemakers again.
Paid for a bed in March... Still no bed
Paid for a bed in March, so haven't received. No notification on site of stock levels and no confirmation once ordered of delays. I contacted after a week to be told 4-6 week delay. After 6 weeks nothing so was offered an immediate discount and told another 2 weeks wait. No discount refunded, no bed after another 2 week wait and now no responses to email asking for a refund

This company is a total scam. I have filed a crime report ActionFraud.police.uk and I encourage every victims that has fallen into the same trap do the same.
There is already a case reported from the Guardian back in 2021.
And this fraudsters is actively monitoring the reviews here and try to "wash" the bad reviews as soon as a 1-star review is placed.

We ordered a beautiful desk. It took 6 weeks to come as described on the page. We were okay to wait for this desk as it was exactly what we had been looking for. When it arrived, it was totally damaged. We contacted the shop and guess what. They no longer continue this design. They offered a different design and nice discount but we were not in a mood another 6 weeks to come.
Asked for a refund which was received 3 weeks later.

I ordered two beds 3 months ago and never receive anything from them. Chased so many times and they will give you a reply that they are waiting for the “materials” and should have it next week. Of course, it will never arrived because this is a scam website. And they don’t even bother to reply me now..
Be smart - it didn’t take any cost for them to write a fake review to scam more money.
If you still don’t trust me? Go try to order something from their website and let’s see 😇
P.s. they will ask you to pay by direct bank transfer to give u extra discount, this is because once they scam your money, you can never get back your money or cancel the payment, while credit card can cancel the payment.
The Guardian also have an article about this scam website, I can’t put any link here so please google yourself.
***UPDATE: After they promised to give me a refund they disappear again. I am taking legal action against this company and reporting to Bank and the police.
They are very active to monitor the comments here so I would suggest people read EVERY comment in Trust Pilot then you will know this is a SCAM 100%!

Lilly chest with dressing top arrived in 4 boxes. Unfortunately 1 was damaged. Screw bag was open as well and 100s of screws were all over the box,
Contacted them to arrange collection and replacement which was okay but took another 2.5 weeks to come. Furniture is great, but disappointed with claim processing.

Ordered before christmas, told 4-6 weeks. Only to be told another delay. Then no contact. Emailed the company and they said it changed hands, (with very unprofessional spelling in the email) and they could refund me or send the bed out. I said to send it out with a partial refund for inconvenience and then no reply. I asked for a refund and they said it'd be within 10 days. Nothing again. Now they've told me it'll be sent and I should have received a tracking order number last week. No replies since. Basically taken my money( which wasn't cheap) and had no product and no replies.

No instructions or customer service
Bought a Montessori bed from them and as per other reviews it arrived without instructions of how to assemble. I contacted them by email and they did not respond. I subsequently called them and they said they would send over a video of how to assemble the bed and try to get a pdf. The video they sent was for a different bed and I never received any pdf. I tried calling and emailing and they did not respond to either. I would avoid buying from the company and wish I had read the reviews here first.

Same as the other 50% of 1 star reviews, ordered a bed for my son's room as his nursery is soon to be taken up by our next child due end of the month- replies about material issues and asking me to wait an additional 3 weeks on top of the original 5 I had already waited and offering a discount if I still wanted to wait -said no and asked for a refund several times and no response. I guess the reason they want you to pay by bank transfer instead of Credit Card isn't due to the charges as they say but it's so it's more difficult to reclaim your hard earned money. Absolute scammers. EDIT: 11/5/23 Even after requesting further info from me on here (given promptly) still no real response or refund.
EDIT:11/5/23 Not long after this message I received confirmation that my order would be cancelled and a refund will be paid within 30days...

This is my first time using trust pilot…
This is my first time using trust pilot and it so easy to a review that I am not sure I trust trust pilot. I am completely shocked how some of the reviews below are so positive compared to my experience with From The Makers - it makes me question if they are even legit. I feel like I have been scammed. Order made March 2nd for Montessori floor bed, told it would be 2-3 weeks, then we were told 20th March, Then on 23rd March, I was told goods were on there way with courier XDP and tracking number which looked dodgey. I left a couple of weeks. I haven't heard back from From The Makers since 14th April. They reckon they are UK based but seriously doubt that.

Ordered a house bed earlier in Feb. I received a tracking 2 days later but the parcel did not come up. I was told a few days a go that courier may have lost my order. Chased again and requested a refund. Customer service was okay but lost bed situation is making me disappointed
Fraudulent
Originally ordered a bed for my daughter in February. I then got a email to say delivery was delayed. This wasn’t an issue as these things happen. However, delivery was then delayed so many times subsequently that the company offered us a 10% refund. We accepted. Since then we have had no bed and no refund. Despite being disappointed I have accepted we probably won’t see the bed nor the money however I don’t want anyone else to lose money to this company. The registered address is in a location that exists as a different store and the companies financial account show they do not exist. I would take the positive reviews with a pinch of salt - or look into the history of the “accounts” reviewing.
UPDATE: product did in fact arrive - 5 months late but wanted to update for a accurate review!
