Ordered 1/3/25. Original delivery said end of July, then changed to end of August then finally received today after 7 months. Slightly underwhelmed with product. Not as soft as I was expecting and itc... See more

Acknowledgment of great service
This is not just an acknowledgment of the great quality of the Curaidh Scarf in the Official Pink Ribbon tartan; it is also a commendation of the Great Scot staff. This was a “pre-order” and I was fully informed of the progress of its manufacturing journey. We also had a laugh! The order had an unscheduled tour of Scotland thanks to Royal Mail! In any event, I was assured that the scarf would be replaced if Royal Mail lost it.
On arrival my partner, in recovery from breast cancer surgery, loves it and is delighted that Great Scot support The Pink Ribbon Foundation.

I ordered a Ukrainian tartan scarf on…
I ordered a Ukrainian tartan scarf on 23rd May for a Ukrainian friend birthday on 23rd Aug. Despite sending numerous emails, sending messages on their chat and trying to get through on the phone which does not work i have not received one response. I will be going to my bank this week to try and have my money returned. Scam John Howarth
Very happy with my purchase
My order was shipped after 3 days. Customer service was very helpful and answered my question the same day. The item I've ordered was a Ruanna Wallace extra warmth. It exceeds my expectations, it is nicely crafted and high quality fabric. Unfortunately the Belgian import taxes and fees were over 50% of the purchase price of the Ruanna, but I'm still happy I ordered it!
Still awaiting Replacement.
Wrong item sent so returned and ask for correct item. They received 30th June but still not received. On the 14th July I was told “I’ve just asked for your replacement to be prioritised and will confirm the moment it’s on its way to you, including tracking details.” Over 3 weeks later I am still waiting. No reply yet from my latest email sent on Tuesday 5th August. Customer satisfaction is definitely not their main priory.
Avoid. Months to deliver, very poor customer service.
If I could give this company and their product no stars I would. Purchased beginning of February, Pink Ribbon Tartan luxury wrap, expected delivery March, then April, finally received 3rd week in May. No updates, just had to keep checking website. When the luxury wrap finally arrived, it was the texture of a rough horse blanket with thick bulky edges. I requested a return that was finally agreed but 'customer service' didn't include an invoice in the parcel, or a return address. Finally returned at my own expense and Royal Mail couldn't deliver to the address I'd been given, as there was a postal redirection set up for that address. By this time I had submitted a claim via my Mastercard. All very dubious and I would advise anyone to think twice before ordering from this company.
I placed the order back in May
I placed the order back in May. In July I sent a polite email enquiring to were my goods were. On the same day I received a reply. Reminding me items were pre order so would take longer but all would be sent when order was complete. Today I have received the complete order. We are over the moon with the quality and design of the products.
Keep up the great work.
Pour service and communication
Great Scot were very efficient at accepting my order in May but by August had still not delivered. There was no reply to emails or requests for refunds. After I d ordered they stated it was being treated as an advanced order. The ad. I responded to on social media did not make this clear, though it was stated on there website after i checked. My advice; state a date by which the order is required and if not fulfilled request a refund. Paypal would be a strong recommendation as a form of payment as paypal have promptly promised a refund within 30 day which suggests they are aware of issues with this company. I am holding off reporting to action fraud for the time being to see if Great Scot reply to my many successive emails.
Do not risk ordering with Great Scot!
This was the most appalling service I have ever received.
I ordered a made to measure, full length, wool hostess kilt on 16th January. I was given an 8 to 10 week lead time, and despite constant chasing by me, I did not receive my kilt until 25th July, which is over 6 months. I have never once received any communication or update without my initiating contact. Although the timescale is bad, the kilt is only a material pocession, I am however, very upset at the complete lack of respect with which I have been treated.
As others have noted, they are made to order items, so take longer than ready-to-wear. As such, I emailed prior to ordering for a lead time and was told 8-10 weeks.
In week 9, I asked for an update as I was going to a wedding (several weeks after the estimated lead time) and wanted to see if I needed to find an alternative outfit. All the response did was point out what I had already acknowledged, that it was only week 9. Several weeks later I chased again, now well over the lead time, as of course, nobody had contacted me. This is how the scenario went for a while, with vague responses that said nothing much, then they stopped responding.
On 24th April (over 3 months from my order date) I emailed the CEO asking for help as I didn't know how to proceed as the responses had stopped. I said I felt the only other option would be trading standards. I have never involved them before, and didn't wish to this time, but Great Scot had stopped replying. I received a phone call that very morning from someone who seemed to be professional, understanding and efficient. (Incidentally I've never got through on the phone or received a call back). We had what I believed to be a productive conversation. She explained they had uncovered various customer issues, and blamed one member of the team. I said that the skirt was just a material item and these things are not life or death, however I would like to actually have the skirt, or a refund if they couldn't do it. I also said that there was now no immediate rush (as the wedding had passed), and that although I didn't want to wait too long, if they needed to prioritise someone else who had an event, then they should, but that I would expect to be kept updated. She thanked me for being so reasonable, that she would keep across it, and email me so I had her details. I have never heard from her again, or anyone else with a proactive update. After more weeks, I emailed, again, asked for her by name, she has still never contacted me again. The responses continued to be "it's in the final stages, I will contact you again when I have a dispatch date". They never did.
During all of this, I continued to receive marketing emails constantly, and the responses I received had a habit of ending with, please don’t hesitate to "reach out", all of which added to me feeling infuriated.
On 23rd July I emailed, copying the CEO. It had been 11 days since they had said (yet again) that they would "follow up shortly ". I said that if I had not received either my kilt, tracking details, or a refund by Monday 28th July I would pass on everything to Trading Standards. Miraculously, they said it had been dispatched (but held up by Royal mail, who knows at this point if that was true) and it then arrived.
I was nervous to open it, as given the experience to that point I was worried it wouldn't be correct. Luckily my kilt is lovely, it fits, and the quality is good. However, it has been very tainted by this experience. At the end of the day it is only an item of clothing, but it is the complete disregard and disrespect with which I have been treated that has upset me. Particularly the phone call, which has made me feel like a fool. I even felt sorry for the manager, that she was having to deal with the mess. It's not about material items, it is the lack of care, person to person, that upsets me. I gave plenty of chances just to refund me after all, but they chose to keep me hanging on and lying to me. I was told on the phone she would put in a small gift as an apology, and as a thank you for my understanding, although I did not ask for that. Granted, they did include a bar of nice smelling soap, but I'm afraid that does not, in any way, make up for this experience.
I note that Great Scot have stopped selling ready-to-wear. I'm no expert, but a couple of reasons companies do this, is either they are very successful so focus on higher end, higher priced made to measure and cultivate client relationships, or, they are struggling with cash flow, so would like the customers money in before making items. I do not know if either of these relate to Great Scot, but the experience I've had does not suggest a company cultivating relationships and prioritising service, that would sit along side high quality bespoke items.
All in all, not worth the risk or the stress. Purchase elsewhere.
Necklace from Great Scot
Ordered a necklace from Great Scot. It did take a while to arrive but Daisy in customer service was outstanding and chased the order for me. Over the past year I've ordered the pink ribbon poncho and scarf and have been extremely happy with both. Because the items are specially made they do take a while to arrive but this is clearly stated on the website. I will be purchasing more items from this reliable company
Gorgeous pink tartan
The pink scarf I ordered took a while to arrive, but it was worth the wait. It is a lovely tartan (Curaidh) in a gorgeous colour and is very soft and warm. I love it. And its support of the Pink Ribbon Foundation is a cause close to my heart.
Ordered a poncho
Ordered a poncho, duly paid for it. Item didnt take long to arrive to be fair (5 days ish). The colours are beautiful but i didnt think, for the price that it was finished off very well and certainly not what i paid for it. Returned it the next day, exactly as it had been sent. Paid for Royal Mail tracked and signed for service which was delivered and signed for 2 days later. No email to say item had been received so emailed them with a copy of the tracked receipt and signature. Email received saying they would check to see if their 'team' had received it. Well obviously they had because it was signed for! Waited 2 days, asked about my refund again. Nothing. I would avoid 🤬
Avoid - refund still not made over a month later
Awful
Ordered an ‘in stock item’, didn’t arrive no ability to contact other than email, was told it’s out of stock so cancelled the order.
Was told 3-5 days for refund….. a month later I’m still waiting.

I ordered a Lady Mary Jacket in Nov…
I ordered a Lady Mary Jacket in Nov 2023. Previously I have ordered multiple clothing from either 0 issues to Australia. Have been amazing products, and orders were fulfilled. Those last orders were 2020.. I since then ordered another one in Nov 2023, with a wait period to make it. Yup no worries.. its now June 2025. I have had some correspondence from both Skye and Elle, with my order supposedly sent, with an incorrect tracking number, so they re made it, as DHL had lost it, it was then resent again, which still had an in correct tracking number, which thrn lead to follow ups, the excuse was there was something wrong with the customs paper work.. now we are talking about a Tweed Jacket... what is possibly wrong? When i have had the sane product sent Previously.. Skye then was heading to Aus for a business trip where she said she could hace it posted using our mail service in April 25.. we are now talking 1.5 years to have my jacket... I am have still yet to receive that said item, with multiple emails sent. I have no idea what's happened to the company. They were absolutely amazing, and I have products to prove.. now I'm $400 out of pocket.. and yet to receive my item.
WAITING.......AGAIN
Like many others I am extremely DISAPPOINTED with the time it takes Great Scot to fulfill their orders.
I have ordered a number of items in the past and each time the wait has been horrendous. There was no indication that this was considered a pre-order or out of stock. The whole impression was it was the items were available and off the shelve.
IT YOU ARE IN A RUSH AVOID......OTHERWISE THE QUALTIY OT THEIR PRODUCTS ARE GOOD.
Waiting and waiting
I ordered a breast cancer Curaidah Tartan and oversize scarf for 350 pounds on November 30 th 2024! There is no sign of it! At first they used to at least reply! Now, as of May 2025, they have gone silent! Wondering what recourse there is! Cheating breast cancer survivors who already have bills is unconscionable!
Great service
Bought a poncho from this company. Didn't get an email confirming my order. Didn't worry as it said on the website it might take a little longer. Got an email from courier to say it was arriving. Love it lovely and warm very very happy with it. Decided to buy a wrap. This was a considerable purchase from me. Again didn't get an email confirming my order. After waiting a while I got in touch with Great Scot to ask if they had got my order. They where great they could help me enough. They where sorry to hear that I had not received an email and would look into this. They managed to find my order with the little information I gave them. It has arrived and love it. The colour is beautiful love it. Anyone thinking about this just do it you won't be disappointed. Thank you Great Scot
Worth the Wait!
It took a long time to get the item but I'm glad to see those lead times have decreased considerably since I made my first order and the website was clear about the waiting periods so I knew how long it would be when ordering.
A lot of the negative reviews on here are due to the fact that buyers just haven't read the lead times on the items. I recommend you bear this in mind. Mine was a tiny bit late but not by much and, when I enquired, I got an update very quickly.
Besides that, the item was beautiful, well worth the wait, I'm very happy with it and can't wait to give it to my sis for her birthday. Thanks very much!
Cancelled after 3 months still no refund
I placed an order for a ruana the end of December. We are now in April. When I cancelled my order due to lack of unprompted communication it was cancelled immmediately but an email from customer service stating they would cancel my order and my refund would take up to 10 days dependent upon my bank was 8 hours later.
Still no refund so my bank is processing on my behalf.
For those querying why I took so long to cancel - I had previously ordered from this company and had great service and products.
Sadly something has changed in the last 12 months or so. I won’t use again
Avoid!
I ordered an item from Great Scot and never received it despite waiting for over a month. I reached out multiple times but only got vague responses. When I requested a refund I encountered frustrating obstacles and no progress in getting my money back. Ultimately, I had no choice but to file a claim through PayPal.
I strongly advise you to avoid this company!
