Ordered 1/3/25. Original delivery said end of July, then changed to end of August then finally received today after 7 months. Slightly underwhelmed with product. Not as soft as I was expecting and itc... See more

It's a NO from me
Further to the non receipt of my order, Evri confirmed item lost. I sent this to Great Scot and asked for a refund, they still insisted on verification from Evri before a refund. I have had to send another 2 emails before I have just received notice of refund 5th April 2025.
I have no faith or trust in this company.
All in all - I am happy with my Curaidh poncho!
Ordered the Curaidh poncho late February 2025 and received confirmation email but no expected delivery dates. Emailed Great Scot couple of weeks later to enquire as had seen some poor reviews on here. No response. I did see a disclaimer that they are not a fast production company as the tartans are made in batches by local weavers. Was considering asking for refund and emailed them to say as much, then had an email telling me it on it's way and the poncho arrived mid-March. I like it very much, and have had compliments about it. My opinion is that we are all so used to the likes of Amazon delivering next day, we forget that some things take time if not immediately available. So, it is a shame that the company are suffering from the reviews of people who have had issues with items not arriving. I do think Great Scot are doing themselves a disservice by not responding to emails or having a customer help line to contact. Nor did I see any details about expected delivery dates in my confirmation. As I said, I like the poncho. Another point is though, am hoping it is made out of lambswool but there is no label on garment to indicate what made of. All in all, with the discount offer of sale - I am happy with it and am wearing it right now as a bit chilly sitting indoors and am about to take the dog for a walk.
Ordered pink breast cancer scarf in…
Ordered pink breast cancer scarf in October and no delivery yet (22 March) despite several emails without reply
Asked for refund again no reply
Seems like a scam
AVOID
Wish I’d read the reviews before ordering. Cancelled order due to exceptionally long waiting time. They ignored my cancellation request and posted the scarf to me. Trying to get them to accept a return is proving difficult. Looks like I will be making a chargeback via my credit card company.
Delighted…
I saw the pink poncho for Breast Cancer awareness on Facebook and ordered it. I was then a little bit worried reading the reviews on here, however I knew that it would take a little while to come so was patient. I am now in receipt of a beautifully made poncho that arrived before the estimated delivery time and I couldn’t be more delighted with it! It is not fast fashion but a piece of craftsmanship that will last and give warmth for years to come. Many thanks.
Terrible company
Terrible company, fear I have been scammed. Ordered three products in January, one arrived a few weeks later but nothing since. I have contacted them three times and no response. Shocking customer service. I have also asked to unsubscribe from its emails but it keeps sending to me which is illegal.
Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience. First the wrong item was sent to me that I had to return at my postage expense for later reimbursement that took over a month. Then the correct item was allegedly sent but had not been properly labelled (they said) so didn’t get to me. I was promised one by post. This didn’t turn up. I was sent the tracking (of the originally wrong item) to prove it had. They then decided it had been lost by the post office. I was promised it would be sent the very next day. This was on a Wednesday. It was actually tracked as being ready for despatch on the following Monday evening and arrived with me on the following Friday. Customer service did deal with me politely and follow up on all my contacts - but clearly that was where it ended. Despatch didn’t get anything right multiple times, and no one checked.
I have my item now and feel underwhelmed. Perhaps because I am just so fed up by how much I had to do to get an item I ordered, and paid in full for, in late December, and it arrived on the 7th March after so much effort on my part.
You might think there would have been a note of apology - no - no acknowledgement of how let down I have been as a customer.
SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS - Ordered a luxury oversized scarf in November 2024 for my sisters Christmas present. Estimated delivery 4-6 weeks. It is now March 2025, 5 months later, and they still can't tell me when the scarf will be dispatched! I have emailed 6 times since placing my order to ask for an update and every time the response is the same, thank you for your email, apologies for the delay, we will look into this and prioritise your order.... I have zero faith that they have any intention of dispatching my order. AVOID! The whole thing is just a scam.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Placed order June ‘24 for advertised autumn delivery, chased up twice in November and January. Cancelled order end of January ‘25 and promised refund 7-19 working days. Chased up refund February ‘25. Now March and still no refund.
Legal action to recover my full refund will be next.
Always happy with Great Scot
I’m amazed at the negative reviews!
I have bought from Great Scot previously, a jacket with a beautiful red lining and I also bought a kilt to match. The tartan design all lines up at the seams, you don’t get this with cheaper makes, it sits beautifully as does the jacket. Both excellent quality and the communication was polite and quick whenever I contacted them.
I have just received my Ruana and the quality remains as good as it was a few years ago. The finish is perfect, The texture is soft and the weight is heavy. It’s worth every penny. Yes you most certainly can buy cheaper but you will not get the same standard of goods. Delivery took a few weeks as most of their items are made to order.
I don’t usually review
I don’t usually review, but really wish I’d done my research before ordering. This was a gift from my husband which I chose and I was really excited for the scarf to arrive. Whilst the tartan is lovely and the embroidery has been done well I was disappointed at the price for the size of the scarf. I received short but thought I’d ordered oversized. I think for £58 it’s really overpriced It’s very scratchy. My mens Zara scarf for a fraction of the price is bigger and cosier!
If there was a no star I would choose…
If there was a no star I would choose this. Totally terrible company that took the money for a poncho order in November and never received.
The company said that when I ordered I should have noticed my poncho would be sent out end of January. Since then nothing and read the reviews and realise I’ve been scammed.
This is a scam company; never never order from them; they don’t actually exist at the advertised address = SCAM.
This is a scam company; you cannot improve a scam company;
Good quality, fast shipping but CUSTOM charges
Ordered a fake fur hat on Jan 22 and delivered on Jan 29 2025. Fast shipping and good product quality, I'm happy. But hey .... for an order of EUR 41,35 I paid EUR 26,95 for shipping and this I saw before placing the ordered and I accepted. But how big was my surprise when I had to pay another EUR 14,04 for Custom charges as GREAT SCOT is in UK and I'm in Germany. I saw no hint for these Custom charges when I ordered. Many companies in UK do not charge these Custom charges, so I didn't even think about it.
Beginning to wonder whether this is a SCAM company.
This is the SECOND time I've ordered samples of their Breast Cancer tartan.
After patiently waiting for many, MANY, months I gave up and cancelled the 1st order; obtaining a refund via PayPal.
Foolishly, I ordered sample fabric again, mid October '24; together with a Pink Ribbon broach.
Well, the broach arrived very promptly BUT it's now 14 January '25 and still no sign of the sample fabric.
I emailed the company on 5 Jan '25, and received a reply the following day; saying they'd look into it & get back to me shortly.
I have emailed them again today, requesting a firm dispatch date .........but I'm not holding my breath & think I'll be contacting PayPal by the end of the week for another refund.
🤔 I wonder how many refunds PayPal are willing to process - for non delivery of goods - before they ban a company??
Expensive item bought and not delivered
I pre-ordered a Ruana in August of 2024, delivery was supposed to be at the end of November. At the beginning of December I asked when it was being shipped to be told it was that week. The following week I emailed again to be told it had definitely been shipped, but with no tracking details.
Nothing arrived and no order update at all, I emailed again to be told they can’t promise it will arrive for Christmas. When I looked at their website they have changed the despatch to January and I still have no Ruana. I’ve emailed again this last week asking for a refund and thus far have been ignored.
I have now started a dispute with my bank to get a refund as I don’t believe they will be fulfilling my order.
Appalling service
Ordered from Great Scot via Instagram the extra large Pink Breast Cancer Tartan Scarf on 16 December 2024 priced at £75 but £65 with discount. The discount code did not work. Delivery given as Royal Mail 48 hour tracked. Now 29 December and so far no show. I have left phone messages but no one bothers to reply. This was ordered in good time for Christmas. Another typical Instagram failure.
Excellent service and quality
I pre-ordered the Pink tartan before Christmas, expecting to wait until February to recieve it (this was fine). I actually recieved it 2 days later, very impressive service.
Great quality.
Beautiful product, BUT...
Product was just as expected, wait time as was not.
I ordered the Braemar Shawl in the Lindsay Tartan, and it is just as pictured, beautifully made and good quality. However, their website is not accurate in terms of shipping times - "Fast Shipping" is a complete misnomer. For the shawl, they estimate 1-2 weeks. After a week with no word, I emailed and was told "...it can take up to 2-4 weeks for completion. We pop this information in the product description, just in case you missed it!" Again, the product description reads "1-2 weeks," which I pointed out in my reply. To which they responded that their dispatch team said it would ship out the next week. But it still didn't ship for another two weeks. I would have been fine with waiting if they had just been honest up front with the manufacture and shipping time, and also with the update they sent me.
Great company and beautiful products…
Great company and they are transparent when an item is available as a “pre-order” or on stock. If a pre-order - the estimated dispatch time is also there, it might take up to 2 months. I have a great experience with them, the customer service was brilliant! I placed an order on Saturday for a pre-order item but I had to cancel it a couple of hours later. I got a lovely message and confirmation of my cancellation on Sunday. To my surprise the product was delivered to me on Monday! I emailed the team flagging this as my refund has been actioned by then. The customer service team was wonderful offering me to keep the scarf, I was really bown away by their service. The scarf is beautiful and highly recommend to anyone!
