Another great shopping experience!!!
I’ve been shopping with Great Scot over the past 5 years and have a beautiful Brigadoon Skirt from them and a Lady Mary Jacket in MacGregor tartan and other accessories. I’ve always received really lovely, high quality pieces from them which is why I keep going back. In January, I saw they were advertising their “Curaidh” tartan for breast cancer which is something very close to my heart as my family have dealt with several deaths from this cancer. They state that because of high demand, they are running a pre-order system so there’s a bit of a wait before you get the product because everything is being woven traditionally (not a problem as they give all the details and expected dispatch dates in the product description). It’s sad to see the reviews on here from people who obviously didn’t read the information on the website which I think, is explained in great detail. The charity tartans especially are super unique and you really can’t get them anywhere else, so the wait was worth it to me and it’s for a fantastic cause. I received my Curaidh Pink Ribbon Luxury Oversized Scarf at the end of September (ordered at the end of May), just like Great Scot projected it would arrive and I LOVEEEE it. Just adore this company and all they stand for. About to purchase the Extra Warmth version of the Curaidh Highlander Ruana next!!!
My package with my Ruana McGregor…
My package with my Ruana McGregor ekstra warmth arrived in good condition today. I have been very pleased with my purchase and my contact with Elle in Customer care unit. So helpful and kind.

Received my order today
Received my order today. 43167. The scarf is lovely. The brooch however has a stone missing. I’ve tried to contact customer service but to no avail. Please advise. Janet
Website giving Red Flags
I haven’t bought anything from this site due to the “red flags” on the homepage. They cannot spell Ladies and Gents. Pretty basic error. If that is beyond them, then what else is?
Absolute SCAM …
I ordered a jacket and the price was 296.00€. As I didn’t receive the product, I wrote them and suddenly they told me that the colour I ordered was out of stock. They proposed me only black colour and I refused asking for complete refund. They wrote that the order had been cancelled and the refund was in process. After more and more e- mails saying that the refund was about to arrive, nothing happened. The worst thing is that a certain Mrs Elle used very kind words telling me she was up the problem. They are miserable scanners. I warmly recommend not to order anything on this site.
Ukraine tie ordered mid July 2023
Ukraine tie ordered mid July 2023, despite several attempts to contact them, various emails and ‘chat’ function messages was getting nowhere until made a comment on Twitter. Eventually arrived Mid January 2024 approx 250 days later and several raised blood pressure moments later.
The tie was great, the service DIRE
Firstly the service from this company is extremely bad.
Firstly the service from this company is absolutely lousy. Never answer the phone same old sob story voice message. Never answer any contact via their help hub. And as for their live chat support well at least they answered but promised to get back via email and I'm still waiting for information on my order.
I placed my order and paid on 07.12.23 for an item that was stated as in stock. The next communication I get is an advise that the order is handed over to DHL on 21.12.23, with a tracking number. Why did it take 2 weeks for the order supposedly to go to DHL? Since then nothing, the point of the order being placed on 07.12 so there would be plenty of time for to to be shipped to Switzerland for my wife's christmas present. So having this week, W/C 07.01, spent a lot of time trying to get some information I'm no further forward with my gift than over one month ago. So does the item really exist. Guess I'll have to now talk to DHL and ask them what they did with it and if they really did have it.
Great quality that is worth the wait.
My order came in great shape. The items were just what I ordered. They are top quality. This is not a scam company. They produce individually manufactured quality tartan wear not mass produced items from China. You will need to be aware of the longer lead time when ordering.
Pure Scam
Like all other reviews, I ordered and never received anything. After two months of being told it was 'with the seamstress' I requested a shipping date or a refund. I had a cancelled order email within 5 minutes of that request.
I feel this is either a scam where they take your money and hope you just forget about your order or a horribly mismanaged company. In either case, I would NEVER recommend ordering anything from here. What a disgusting shame given how much breast cancer and Ukrainian victims support products they are selling.
Now, just need to see if they actually refund me...
Avoid- an Internet company whom have clearly set analytics to scam cancer patients and survivors, as well as their loved ones. And also, separately, Ukranian war victims.
I placed an order with this company eagerly few days ago.
Despite having not heard of them, I thought they looked legit- I now feel otherwise.
What I now feel is that this company have set their analytics to search for Breast Cancer patients and survivors, in order to make money out of them, with little or no intention to fulfill orders. If they did have reasonable intention to fo so, they would be able to provide a timeline to patrons. Instead, there are people commenting on FB that have been waiting for their orders since April, still with no delivery in sight.
To this Great Scot merely say, look at updates on their website. But the fact of the matter is, any information is vague at best. It is in fact fair to say, that any and all customers looking for clarity on deliveries, may as well go hunting for wild haggis... you might find your Curaidh Tartan item with them.
I left a polite comment on FB this morning, clearly stating that I would simply like a clear timescale given for delivery. To me, it was simple math- how many items have been ordered vs how many items you have in weave?
Instead, not surprisingly given an earlier review, my order was cancelled with in an hour of the comment being placed and I have been blocked by them. This in it self is an indication of how Great Scot conduct their business. Unfortunately for them however, I have taken screenshots of the comments I made and will happily provide them as evidence to Trust Pilot, Trading Standards and anyone else I can, in order to restrict Great Scot from scamming anyone else.
What a truly sad world we live in, where cancer patients and survivors, as well and their loved ones, are scammed out of money and then silenced from social media by these crooks.
It is also worth commenting, that many others have been waiting an unreasonable time for items designed for Ukranian war victims. Again, many people waiting in veign for items that will likely never come.
So to recap, Great Scot are taking money from cancer patients and Ukranian war victims, with no intention of fulfilling orders. And if you ask, you'll be silenced.
Beware
Beware. I placed an order on the 16th of May for two Ukraine Forever scarfs. It was delayed several times. And today, the 3rd of October, I tried to ask through the site chat about expected delivery dates. I was told that the new expected shipping date is the 31st of October. The person on the other side of the chat smiled at my unhappiness and offered to cancel the order. I said no, I want my scarfs. We have a Ukrainian guest living in our house, the scarfs are important, especially after such a wait. After that I went on their Facebook page and described the situation. Pure facts, no emotions. Just the dates of the order and the expected shipping date. Nothing else.
My comment was deleted, I was blocked, the order cancelled. After 4.5 months wait.
Products are never delivered. Avoid
Ordered in April as I wanted a particular item whilst I was recovering from breast cancer treatment. In the middle of June I ended up cancelling the order as they were really unclear about when it would be received. Their Facebook ads are full of people commenting that they have similar experience. I suggest this company is avoided.
