Dealing with the same, named contact I have for years and being able to discuss any issues over the phone is *so* refreshing these days, and would be worth a premium (no pun intended). However their record of hunting down low rates is also pretty good I would say. All round great service.

“Exuberant” Charges
I had a car insurance with Grove and Dean trading as Motorvision Insurance. After cancelling the remaining six months insurance I got a 7 day demand from them for £181. They charged me £55 cancellation fee and £126 for the rest of the payments even though I wasn’t having any insurance for the next six months, £181 in total. It has cost me more to cancel and have no insurance than it would have if I had paid the premiums to the end of the policy, absolutely ridiculous! Where’s the refund from the insurance company that hasn’t been taken into account? It says on the insurance companies website that they give refunds for cancellations, so who’s pocketed that? Certainly not me. Absolute “rip off”.

Had to make changes to my policy which was quick and straight forward thanks to Emily. I was charged £25 which is why I didn't score 5 stars, other companies like Churchill allow you to make changes for free.
