Don't use Hedgehog

I am a 55 year old, so I have a bit of life experience, a little bit of wisdom. So please listen when I tell you to not use Hedgehog. I am not going to reel off all the problems they caused me, just trust me. Do not use Hedgehog, they are crooks.

NO 14 DAY COOLING OFF PERIOD

Auto renewed car insurance on 78 year old mothers policy and then refused to honour the 14 day cooling offer period and charged her more than £100 for the three days that the policy was active for before we realised!

Avoid, or may cost you dearly!

I bought the insurance and then was bombarded with emails for various things such as proof of car ownership etc. It was relentless! So I decided to cancel the policy (within the 14 day cooling off period). They charged me £85 to cancel and told me that this is a 'fair' thing to do. It's now sitting with the ombudsman. Avoid! Just put to con you!

Shocking service…

Purchased insurance via a search engine. Then got asked for dvla check numbers, which they then didn’t know what to do with. Also got asked to provide proof of address, proof of employment (wouldn’t accept contract or payslip, only a letter from the employer). Then cancelled my insurance and charged me £80 for the privilege. I tried to cancel, due to the ridiculous amount of additional paperwork requested, 5 days after purchasing and was told it would cost me £80 to cancel. Apparently the consumer right to a cooling off period is not recognised by this company. Now insured elsewhere and would not recommend Hedgehog to anyone.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I had insurance with them and once it was completed they refused to give me the renewal without any reason and after few months pass they called and said you are involved in a dispute etc without a single evidence provided.
i even told them that someone was trying to scam me but they are 100% involved with scammers when you complete your insurance they will somehow put all the blame on you now trying to rip me off with a 5000£ bill.
can you imagine???
