Be careful with the online info, its not correct vs the info with the bag

The general process was good but the information is poor and confusing.

The website says place the bag less than 6m from teh road, the paper with the bag says 4.

The website says you can put in plasterboard as long as it is bagged and segregated from the other waste, the paper with the bag says you need a separate Hippo bag.

As I specifically went the more expensive route (by volume) than a skip so I could responsibly dispose of my plaster board from a bathroom reno, imagine my disapointment that I am now having to take it to the local tip and pay by the bag.

Great all round, would use again, only thing that they could improve is give you an indication of what day it will be picked up, as very vague for this part.

Company failed to pick up waste within specified window. No communication, explanation or apology. Eventually cancelled and paid a 3rd party to pick up the waste. Avoid.

Perfect for clearing the house with no…

Perfect for clearing the house with no time limit.

We were able to leave it on the driveway for a few weekends and take our time sorting the house. Collection process was easy and no sooner had it been collected we went and got another HippoBag to clear the shed!!

Great experience

The team was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We received our hippo bag within 48h on a Thursday and it was collected the Monday after. Booking collection was easy and straightforward.

Amazing service at all stages

Amazing service at all stages. Easy to book, with quick delivery of bag. Plenty of time before you have to book a collection (6 months). The collection process is easy and they just get on with it. I will definitely be using their services again. Well worth the money and better than a skip as the bags are soft they don’t damage your drive!!

The whole process was quick and easy…

The whole process was quick and easy and all done online. My waste bag was retrieved yesterday without any fuss at all and I would happily recommend this service to anyone. I will definitely use Hippo again

A LOT of positives about this service

A LOT of positives about this service. The online ordering service for both the bag and the pick up was very easy. The bag arrived quickly in the post. I could keep it tucked away until I was ready to sort the waste. I could put the bag behind a wall without blocking my drive, unlike a skip. I managed to put loads in the bag (had the mega bag but liked that you could get smaller ones). My only slight negative was that it took a full week after booking the pick up for them to turn up and collect, would have liked it quicker. Overall though very happy and would definitely use Hippo again.

Absolutely useless - left with uncollected bag for over 14 days

Absolutely useless. I have been waiting for a collection for over 14 days now and after multiple phone calls and emails I am still waiting. All I get told is I will receive a text when collection is booked, which I did then on the day of collection late in the day a text to say they were not collecting. £226 paid for nothing. Stick with traditional skips it's better than these clowns.
