As much as I liked their platform, and the wide range of financial products available for trading, but their leverage is way too low compared to its peers. Even if one upgrade to Pro tier, still their leverage rates are too low, which makes it very hard to make meaningful gains. I wish they introduce higher leverage rates in the future.

I strongly advise against using BG Saxo for anyone trading options professionally. My experience has been disastrous on every level:
Severe Technical Bugs: The "Strategy Builder," a tool marketed for constructing complex strategies, performed an unsolicited netting on pre-existing positions. The result? It dismantled a Bull Put Spread, turning it into a Naked Put (unlimited risk exposure) and triggering an immediate, undue 26% tax withholding.
Arbitrary Liquidations: I suffered forced position closures despite having sufficient liquidity in the account and, in some cases, on options that were significantly Out Of The Money.
Stonewalling and Negligence: I sent three formal technical complaints via certified email (PEC). The response to the first was a generic that ignored the facts, while the last two received no response at all.
Silence from Headquarters: I also wrote to the Danish headquarters hoping for more professional management, but they adopted the same stonewalling tactics as the Italian branch, completely ignoring my reports.
It is unacceptable for a broker managing capital to fail to address systemic bugs within its own platform. When their system fails, the client is left alone to deal with the damages.

I joined Saxo on a basis of "Best Internet brokers" online search and other similar comparison lists. It was usually in top 5 and I was thinking that it must be a quality broker, so I decided to turn a blind eye to the fact that their commisions and taxes are one of the highest. I haven't had a slightest idea how misguiding those comparisons are and what a nightmare lies ahaead of me.
Red flag number 1 - Customer Support: I had some questions at the beginning, so I sent them via e-mail (I did not want to pay for calls to Denmark every time plus I used a lot of screenshots), so e-mail was the logical choice. Believe or not, the response time for my queries was 2 weeks and above!
Red flag number 2 - Platform functionalities: I did some trading with them some 15 years ago and I was a little surprised to see that their interface and functionalities barely moved from that time. For a "leading platform" that looks odd, but it is always better to concentrate on taking the commissions, updating the platform can wait. This costs money after all.
Red flag number 3 - Margin requirements: This is the worst part. Every day they run some margin algorhythm at 20:00 CET that causes a huge spike of your used margin and that causes forced closing of your poisitions. I carefully calculated and kept my margin usage around 40%, but that didn't not save me at all. Profitable and well going positions were forced closed no matter of that fact in the worst appropriate time. That were causing heavy losses, actually the losses caused by Saxo were far worse than the ones that I had due to bad trading decisions.
Red flag number 4: Hostile attitude: I was receiving on a regular basis reminders and even threats, when something was required from me (like updating of a personal information).
Red flag number 5: Personal information: I was asked to fill in personal information in my profile. The questions were more than unexpected - what was my last job occupation, what duties I was having there, which company and so on. When I reminded them that I am not applying for a job occupation at Saxo, I am their customer and this information has nothing to do with the trading, they restricted my account and then without a warning they terminated it. I think an answer by me in one of their surveys that they offer a poor quality service helped a lot for that. They do not want to hear such things and honest opinions must be instantly punished.
Trading is hard enough! Don't make it a nightmare, joining Saxo!

I've been struggling with an error made by the back office for the past 8 months, repeatedly following up and sending the same information without success. Jaya solved this problem in 2 days keeping me updated on the progress. When the back office asked for a fee to correct the mistake they've made, Jaya successfully pushed back on the inappropriate request.
Further, when I shared my frustration with the support I've been receiving from another staff member, she took full responsibility and apologized on behalf of the Bank.

I've had an account with Saxo for over a year and am very happy with both their product offerings and the support provided to me by my Relationship Manager and the technical support team.

Fantastic customer service experience (by Eirik in Digital Sales) who over the course of several week provided timely and high value added support to answer all my question and helped me to commit to Saxo as a key broking platform partner. Eirik was extremely competent and responsive. By far my best customer service experience with a broking platform. Highly recommended!
