I can’t recommend Dan @ Homemove highly enough. As a first-time buyer, my mortgage wasn’t straightforward—my income structure was a bit complex, and the property had non-standard construction. Dan wa... See more

Worked with Dan and Sharon initially and then Joanne took over. Honestly a very smooth experience, all my queries were always answered with great detail, Joanne was always just a call away from any doubts. Also did I mention the whole process is free? I would highly recommend homemove for anyone looking into getting a mortgage!

I didn’t get my surveyors name however I felt I had to leave a review as the man who did my valuation was amazing he made me feel at ease straight away as I’ve never sold a house before and he helped explain things and was so friendly it really made my experience great as I was a bit nervous but he was really kind. He is a really great asset to your company!

I wish I'd found Homemove earlier in the buying process! They have handled my homebuyers survey and I have booked the removal company through them as well. They act as your Project Manager and it is easy to see what needs to be planned and when!

I have been so impressed with Homemove (who I found when googling Help to Buy loan payment).
They organised a RICS surveyor to come within 48hrs, the paperwork was no hassle, and they were also competitively priced.
Both Sarah-Jane and Hugh offered friendly, helpful and proactive customer service.
Fantastic service.
Thank you

We used Homemove to appoint a conveyancer for a simultaneous sale and purchase, and the experience is extremely poor.
The solicitor they appointed, Gardner Champion, raised repeated and confusing requests for fees that were not contractually due, failed to progress the transaction in any meaningful way, and communicated inconsistently and inaccurately. Despite assurances from Homemove at the outset, the process was anything but smooth or linear.
I had disclosed disabilities and neurodivergence early on, yet no reasonable adjustments were made, which significantly worsened the experience. Ultimately, the appointed solicitors confirmed they did not have capacity to continue and closed the file, leaving us without representation and placing both our sale and purchase at risk.
We have now had to abandon the service, seek a full refund, and appoint our own conveyancers at additional cost. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution others against relying on Homemove for conveyancing.

Absolute shambles.
Firstly it is important for you to know, the moving service is outsourced. You do not get a service from a large established company, you get a service from a one man band and he's useless mate.
We got a quote through HomeMove for my father's house move. My father is elderly with neurological deterioration. The 2 men arrived at the property several hours late. They then haphazardly dumped things in boxes, leaving delicate items unprotected, half empty cupboards as though they'd got bored halfway through and the house in disarray. We were advised that if we needed any other boxes on the day then we could pay for these. However once we'd used our allocation of boxes we were told no more. Some boxes barely had anything in them. What was particularly poor was that high value items such as expensive pottery were just dumped in a box, no bubble wrap, tissue paper etc. The 2 men were unfriendly and were clearly making comments to each other in a different language about us, tutting and cussing. When the boxes arrived at my dads new property they were just dumped into the place and then they scarpered. Needless to say we weren't asked for any feedback. We reported the exceptionally poor service to HomeMove who washed their hands of it completely, taking no responsibility. Because the men arrived so late we were still unpacking at 9pm and had to collect my dad from his friends very late. The whole reason we employed a pack and move service was because my dad was elderly.
I have been back to the house today to finish off the job examples of a job half done:
-Cupboards half emptied and some contents remain
-kitchen cupboards left full
-pantry untouched.
-electrical items moved but the power cables still plugged in and not packed.
Overall, it was a stressful nightmare!

I was hesitant to use homemove at first because i just came across the site on google I wanted to redeem my help to buy loan so needed a surveyor and conveyancer. They were very competitively priced I thought would give it a go and I was so happy i did they are a joy to work with SarahJane who i dealt with is responsive and knowledgable always on hand to help answer any questions by phone or email, The process was smooth and much faster than i thought it would take. I would certainly recommend using homemove!

Last minute removals was needed as the one we had, couldn't do it last minute. Homemove was able too, all was great again. HOW WRONG. Turns out about a week later of moving in, when I took the shrink wrap from around my draws, I noticed an empty jewellery box sleeve. Then I noticed other boxes was gone too. The 3 polish guys that homemove arranged to move out stuff, had taken 2 rings, 1 that my parents bought me years ago and then a very sentimental ring that my grandma left me, the 1 and only thing I ever wanted as a kid and 2 pairs of earrings were gone too. Yes in away its my fault for leaving them in my draw, but I didn't think at the time, as the long awaited move was all last minute. But you should be able to trust removals not to steal. Company has done nothing about this, probably haven't even chased the guys up, and most likely they will use them again for others. Well just watch yourselves and your stuff and be carefull out on the roads, as these guys really overload there vehicles, way past the weight limit. I'm amazed they didn't have a blow out and kill any innocent people on the M5 or any other roads, let alone fall asleep at the wheel as the hours they worked and distance. Seems like a few laws are broken.
