Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 47 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the payment process, citing issues with processing times and funds being held. The pricing structure, including annual and monthly fees, was a significant point of contention, with many feeling these charges were excessive and often unexpected. Additionally, the customer service received frequent criticism for being unhelpful and difficult to communicate with. Reviewers also reported problems with the product itself, such as cards not working or being blocked without clear reasons. While a small group of people felt that the subscription terms were ambiguous, the general sentiment was that the company's practices regarding fees and account management were unsatisfactory and caused concern.

I am happy

I am happy to have an additional credit card that I do not need.

Indigo took a chance with my fico 600 score and set a credit limit of $500 then allowed me to go over by another $500 for a total of yes $1000

It's an expensive card to have because of the fees, but I like having the additional credit!

I hope to make all my payments over the min amount to pay off faster and get a 700 in the future!

This is by far the worst business I’ve…

This is by far the worst business I’ve ever dealt with. They have taken more money in fees than any other card company I’ve ever used. After I paid off my $300 credit in full, they decided to freeze my account for 14 days, supposedly to ensure the payment cleared, even though I’ve had the card for many years and have never had a payment not clear. The payment cleared in just three days.

Businesses like this make me sick, and I believe the founders deserve to be jailed for life.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. They'll approve you, charge you the fee then shut the card off after first use with an excuse they need to check your id. It takes 5-7 business days for them to check it AFTER you mail it or fax it. Who knows what they say after that. I just told them to close the account. Horrible company and the people in "customer service" are rude. Stay FAR away!

Mislead opened and closed that account! I never used

Upon my credit going on I figured time for a reasonable credit card and I’ve received an offer thru Indigo card! Applied approved card came 2 days ago. Called activated card to go looking online at account and it says na for everything. And it had a number for me to contact. Called, to be told there’s a block so I would need to provide an ID thru fax …. Already provided social, address and a faxed ID. It was delivered but they say it will take XO amount of days before they could collect the fax!!! I told her I know calls are recorded and I don’t feel safe with my personal information just out there and here lies a credit card I cannot use or access to just close the account, I am sorry that kind of hassle isn’t worth Do not bother with this company they’ll collect all your personal information for nothing

This company really sucksRip off

This company really sucks. I went to go and withdraw $200 out of the ATM machine. I wasn't aware that I can only pull $100. So it supposedly put a lock on my account. Had to fax on my ID and was told it takes up to 5 days to unlock. Now that are saying that it takes 5 days to review and an additional 5 days to unlock. This company is a total rip off

Beware. This card sets you up for failure.

This card sets you up for failure. I was lied to from the first phone call. Well either lied to, or the representative didn’t have a clue what she was talking about. Either way it all led to them closing my account within a two month run with them and I ended up losing 55 points, as well as still having the credit inquiry from them on my report for another year and a half. I had a $500 limit, used it to the max the first month and paid it back immediately to build credit. I accidentally paid it online twice but wasn’t 100% sure due to them not immediately taking it from my bank. I called the next morning and asked the rep if that happened, she said “no”. Then I asked when my funds would be available and she said “ Your funds will be available in approximately 15 days” 😳 I said “What, are you serious?” “ Yes Mr. R I am sir” I asked what would I have to do to get the funds on the card faster. She said “ Money Gram would get them back in 3 days or less” I said O.K then I’ll go pay it by Money Gram, I’ll stop the other “payment” not payments… She said “You can not take the payment back sir.” 🤌🏽🤔 So I’m using Chime for my bills to automatically come out as well as subscriptions etc. I really like Chime btw. I told her I can freeze my card when I’m not using it to stop unwanted charges and that’s what I did. Then I went to Walmart (Yay) and payed it Money-gram payment in full. So then I looked at my Indigo account online and it was showing I had $1475.00 with $400 available to use🫤. It was like that for a week or so. I called and asked another rep or 3 what was going on and they said “You made 3 payments sir”😳 3? I said I only made 1 and stopped the first from being pulled, the first rep told me I only made 1 when I thought I made the mistake of making 2 when I first started. They seemed to know nothing about her saying that and they said that I had 24 hours to cancel them. The first rep said there wasn’t an option to cancel. So I just payed and figured they see the payment and just let the others go. Well they ended up coming back as “returned funds” twice! Which led to them closing my account and killing my score. I called and all they could say was “We can’t stop the computer from making the decisions” the computer??? What the? I don’t know maybe I’m wrong or stupid or I don’t know what, but it says in the fine print that you have 24 hours to stop a payment and when they all went back in the recorded notes none of them said they saw where the first rep told me that you can’t stop a payment…🤬🤬🤬oh and then not one, but a few of them told me to re apply! Lol why so I could get another credit score lowering inquiry and get turned down as well, due to my my score diving to the abyss? lmao… I don’t think so you scumbags…My point, beware…

The card is okay if you pay the full…

The card is okay if you pay the full balance every month, yet you still need to pay the annual fee. The interest rates are exorbitant. I used the card for more than four years, paying the total balance each month. Despite this, the interest rate still increased without any credit limit increase. It's better to get Credit One or a secured card that you fund with your own money and pay off monthly. It's not a good card at all.

Only if you have to.

Weigh out your need for this card. After a bankruptcy, needed a fresh start. Off the bat, 700 credit limit. Paid some bills with it and sent the 679.81 from my bank to the card. 8/7/24. Cleared my bank 8/9/24.
Still hasn’t been credit back to my account showing 6 dollars available. 8/20/24 is the date of this writing. Customer could be done by a monkey. They are absolutely horrible. Also sound like the people calling you about your car’s extended warranty. They’re really useless and offer no support or explanation. “The system” automatic deems the hold time for their payment processing. But the 175 I paid off the bat cleared and offered credit 3 days later. If you have to. You have too. I’m not bashing the card itself. You have to start somewhere. But good heavens are the customer service pitty poor and every company needs ti stop out source to India. It’s becoming a problem.

Worst Customer Service Ever!!

I'm dealing with the same thing. First they never sent my card. Then when I called they said they sent it. Finally got the card after waiting 3 months. Then I activated the card and it wasn't working. Come to find out the wrong billing address was the reason. They botched the address apparently. So I went on the app and changed my address to the correct address. Tried using the card and it still doesn't work. So I call and they tell me because I changed the address it was turned off due to fraud protection. Now I have to fax my id over and they will fix it right away. 5 days go by and it's still not working. So I call again and the woman tells me they get 7 days to review the fax I sent so on Saturday it will be the 7th day and it should be fixed but call back Saturday to make sure. I call back Saturday and my fax still hasn't been reviewed and now the time frame changes from 7 days to 7-14 business days. I'm at my wits end. This all started with their mistakes. Then when I was told to change the address through the app it sets off fraud alert and then I'm told always call to change the address. It's been 4 months now since my new card was supposed to be delivered and I still can't use the card. Sub standard out of the continent customer service who all have conflicting information. Drives me nuts!!!!

Horrible

Horrible! I just got approved for a $700 credit limit and they charged me $175 for the first year, I been trying to use my card and it keeps declining. For 2 days I couldn't use it, more than 8 representatives from C.S. told me that my card and account was fine. Give it 24 hours etc. And on the 3rd day, my card got blocked for fraud detection. Now I have to fax over my ID. This has been a headache for me. All these representatives are not properly trained well. Such an embarrassment for this company. Don't get this card!!

It is not worth it avoid!!

Seems pretty ridiculous that if I’m paying my card off with every payment that it now takes 14 calendar days to be reflected in my credit balance. The person I spoke to answered the phone in Spanish when I requested a supervisor and had a very thick accent I couldn’t hear 1/2 of what she said and she was clearly outside I could hear the traffic driving by. It was just easier to close the count then keep dealing with them and the embarrassment of pulling out a credit card designed by a 3 year old. The card also took nearly a month to arrive….

Indigo credit card company has a…very unprofessional communication network. They sell your personal information, overcharge for their poor services, and lie about their qualification methods.

Indigo credit card company has a horrendous record and really bad reviews. But, i decided to see for myself what they are like. Well, they told me i was preapproved. Then they declined my official application. I do not have sufficient student loan history ! Is that even a real requirement ? Do not have sufficient credit card payment history. Well, that is why i applied for this supposed substandard (poor credit) company. Turns out they are nothing more than scammers and predators!

Indigo Doesn't care about their customer's

This is my second review, and I hope someone is reading them. They took a payment from me with my checking account which I don't use my account for payments rather use my debit, they only take debit cards for customers who are behind and I use my checking account for my payment on July 17th and was told it would take about three days to post so I check my account to keep seeing if was taken out was not so I call Indigo7/26 and they say that it takes up to 14 days to come out of account so the best way to make a payment is through walmart with code 4911 with a fee but at least it will take about three days to post. I read other's post and I see why they are closing their account which once I pay them off I will do the same.

I want to give 0 stars

I want to give 0 stars! Bad customer service and the card is unreliable! Fraud alerts will be issued and not immediately removed when you call in to verify that you are the one who made a purchase! I will not give them my business!
