IHC wants your money at all cost

I just receive a bill from IHC for $257.00 . I knew this was an error, I looked for a contact number on the bill there was none. The only information on the bill s a link so you could make a payment. I wonder how many other 68 year old covered by Medicare received a bill like me. Very deceiving. Look out people, we have predetors that want your money.

Intermountain Healthcare demanded injections of IT staff that works from home

Intermountain Healthcare demanded that all workers, including IT staff that works from home full time, get an infinite number of experimental injections or be fired. They made this demand even though a US appeals court had put on hold an order by Biden that companies with 100 workers or more require COVID-19 shots. The appeals court called his vaccine and testing requirements for private businesses “fatally flawed” and “staggeringly overbroad,” arguing that the requirements likely exceed the authority of the federal government and raise “serious constitutional concerns.”

Yet Intermountain used this as an excuse to coerce employees and contractors into risky under-tested medical procedures. They were eager to be the vaccination police for government tyrants. This authoritarian alliance demanded subjugation, while denying human rights and medical autonomy.

Intermountain Healthcare treats workers like office supplies. Shame on them.

Ultimately the US Supreme Court shot down Biden's attempt to force companies with100 workers or more to mandate shots. Since that landmark decision the covid agenda has been quickly unraveling. But the damage was done by Biden's allies in the corporate world, who exceeded and abused their authority.

Intermountain Healthcare and the managers who abused their authority should apologize publicly to everyone they damaged: people (like me) forced to quit rather than acquiesce, and people forced to acquiesce rather than quit.

IHC has a horrible billing department

IHC has a horrible billing department, they are not very knowledgeable on how the billing works. That I find amazing as big as they are, get the final bill in writing because the bill will increase off their Prior Authorization amount.

Why Is Intermountain Healthcare so difficult to deal with

Why don't you - Intermountain Healthcare - stay in Salt Lake City - Las Vegas doesn't need or want the kind of service that you provide (or don't provide). I can no longer talk to someone in my local doctor's office, nor can Humana Insurance get a response from the office in order to refill a prescription. I need you to provide me with valium every time I try to do something through you. It is easier for me to get in my car and drive over to the office to give the a message than it is to deal with you. Go Back To Utah!

Completely Ineffective, they cant even set me up with a simple CPAP machine!

I went to Intermountain home care for a cpap machine my doctor prescribed. They gave me a very nice modern machine, beautiful. BUT they only let me take one mask with me, I tried to take at least one more because I knew I was going to have trouble with the mask. They said "You can only take one mask" So I did and it didn't work so I waited a month to go in so I can wait in line 30 minutes to get a new mask. The new mask didn't work so now I have a worthless machine. I will be returning it. INTERMOUNTAIN HOME CARE is completely ineffective at what they do! They CANT even successfully set me up with a SIMPLE CPAP machine!

They should all all new patients to take home 3 masks until they find the one that works.

HORRIBLE, RIDICULOUS, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT!

Dysfunctional Apathetic Organization!

It's absolutely amazing that this dysfunctional business is still around since all they care about IS GETTING PAID AND NOTHING ELSE. It's like you're dealing with a robot!

This company does not care nor will anything ever change!

Warning do not sign up for the patient…

Warning do not sign up for the patient portal. In the patient porthole they will simply cancel your appointment you will not receive an explanation why your appointment was cancelled it will simply be cancelled you will receive an email that says your appointment has been changed. Yes that is all the email will say from there you would have to log onto the patient portal find the messaging section and they would simply say appointment cancelled!

The individual staff and doctors are…

The individual staff and doctors are good. The business practice and monopolistic nature of the business are highly unethical! I moved from another part of the country using a health share (not insurance), which IHC wouldn’t accept, and not give me a self-pay discount. I ended up paying for the cost out-of-pocket, being denied self-pay rates, left a little man mowed down by the large corporation. In the area I live I would prefer to use another hospital, but they are the only players in town. I cannot recommend them!

Crooks

I have had many experiences with IHC over the years, most of them have been negative to be honest. All five of my kids have been born at IHC in Provo. When my oldest was born the doctor told my wife she needed to induce her because the baby was large and would cause problems if it got larger. My wife was induced and complications lead to an emergency C-section. My daughter was born 5 pounds 11 oz. and sent to the NICU because she was struggling to breath. Of course they charged us for the whole thing. When my youngest son was born it was through C-Section and he was taken to a small room next to where the surgery had taken place. This was the fifth C-Section I had seen and every other time they used suction to remove fluids. During vaginal birth these fluids are squeezed out but when a C-section is performed these fluids must be removed manually. The nurse was on her phone for about a minute, finishing a text or something, while my son laid choking on the fluids she was suppose to remove. He flat lined, she hit the panic button, and an emergency team rushed in and revived him. Off to NICU again due to their negligence, but their negligence didn't stop them from billing us. I complained right then and their response was to have a doctor come and tell tell me that protocols had changed they no longer remove those fluids, which is a lie by the way. My son is five and has a mild disability, and I wonder if it is from their negligence when the nurse was texting and posting instead of doing her job. I noticed the nurses were always on their phones and extremely slow to respond. IHC is lazy, they lie all the time to cover their own ass, they over charge and you have to fight like hell for fair billing. Check your bill. In short they are lazy, they are crooks, and you best have somebody with you to call them on their non sense.

Intermountain Healthcare doesn't "CARE " about you

I am extremely disappointed in Angel Ambrose of Intermountain Healthcare. She is my primary Doctor and she knows that I am a type 1 diabetic. When I saw her last, I explained that I get yeast infections often because of the diabetes. I ran out of my prescription to treat them and asked if she could please write me a refill.I was told that I have to wait until my appointment in February!! So I must wait 3 months to get any prescriptions refilled. Thank God she doesn't write for my insulin or I would die. This place claims to care about their patients well being, but it's all lies. I'm looking forward to giving her a piece of my mind in February!

My ears really hurt

My ears really hurt! I'm afraid for my hearing. I went in to intermountain yesterday, they gave me a medicine that I said that I had a prior bad reaction to. he denied the procedure and tubes that are an option for this type of ear pain. He and the staff personally made me feel very uncomfortable an awkward. I feel gaslighted. And I feel other physicians will do the same thing. My trust is broken, yet I want to save my ears. Why have a doctor degree to not help people.

My doctor of 15 years works for…

My doctor of 15 years works for Intermountain Healthcare. I have had constant problems seeing her. The office staff is horrible. The office feels like a bus station, bleak and cold. I was misdiagnosed and unable to get approved for knee surgery before I had three expensive tests I didn't need. 6 months of agony! I finally got approved. I have found a small practice with three doctors. I will be changing doctors because I don't want to be involved with the Walmart of Healthcare anymore!!!

I have a great doctor

I have a great doctor, but intermountain healthcare is a nightmare, they contracted with a medical place for moter chairs witch I need, due my medical condition. Preferred Home Care 871 Grier Dr, Las Vegas Nevada 89119. 702-951-6900. I tried several times to call them. Phone number was not working and their website was taken down. Now it is back up. They claim that they tried to call me several times and they also told me that they called my Doctor office and told them that they could not get in touch with me. All lie's. Now they say they have to reopen my case. Very rude, and have to.wait over 2. Weeks for appointment, and 1-2 months for a. Chair. And they are the only place that I can go, because that is who Intermountain contracted with. Both have very low ratings. I would appreciate any advice

My doctor retired and Intermoutain took…

My doctor retired and Intermoutain took over Healthcare Partners. My new doctor is great. That is all I can say good. I have had nothing but problems with the office staff. The phone switchboard is gross, you wait and wait on hold and most of the time you never get your doctors office. they say that they will send your doctor a message. They tell me not to contact my drug store for refills. I must call them 2 weeks ahead. I was told the reason did not get my refill after the drug store called the dr.'s office 4 times is that the drug store lied !. At this point I don't know what to do I like my doctor but I can not put up with Intermoutain.

For the past 25 years I’ve seen the…

For the past 25 years I’ve seen the same PCP at the IHC Salt Lake Clinic. Today they dropped me as a patient citing they no longer take the health insurance of University of Utah employees. Their reasoning was to streamline services and billing with insurance companies. This has got to be the biggest “We care about making money just not the patients we’ve been treating for a 1/4 of a century.
Do yourself a favor and stop going to a health care system that only cares about the bottom line.

My wife was involved in an auto…

My wife was involved in an auto accident with an uninsured motorist. She ended up having neck pain and a headache, so we decided to get her checked out with IHC,s Imed Center. The ER doctor spent less than 5 minutes with us in the treatment room then she was discharged. No labs, no X-ray, no tests or evaluations of any kind, the brief conversation with the ER Doc was all that she received. The bill for this visit was $1,000! Thanks, non-profit IHC!

Absolute worst experience

Absolute worst experience I have had in my life. Stop chatting with each other like it’s recess in elementary, and actually do your job. I spent 3 hours waiting to be seen, and another 2 hours waiting for the doctor.

Worst (almost evil) medical billing practices

Great in-hospital service (doctors, nurses), but IHC is a terrible company.

Before service: "Yes, the Spanish Fork IHC hospital will bill the same as Utah Valley Hospital in Provo. We are the same company, so we bill the same across our hospital chain. We have our ducks in a row with our insurance contracts..."

After service: "Oh, the Spanish Fork hospital is out of network with your insurance, even though all the rest of the IHC network is not (because we haven't gotten off our tail to make it happen)? Tough beans, that will be an extra $5000 dollars please."

Time to even run your bills? 6 months minimum. So we get to wonder, and stress, call IHC again and again, call insurance again and again...

Go anywhere else with decent service. Go to the Payson hospital (MVH). They won't abuse you.

Most amazing Nurses and Doctors!!

Where do I begin this review? I can’t say enough good things about provo labor and delivery and mom/baby unit at intermountain hospital! My labor experience wasn’t the greatest, but the staff made it all so much better. They gave me a wonderful experience that I can share with my friends and family for a life time. I came into the hospital at 6am on June, 22nd. Cynthia Labor and Delivery was our first nurse. She was so kind and amazing! When my labor started she was right next to me to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Rose was the anesthesiologist who gave me the epidural. I was told by many friends and family how the epidural is so painful. Dr. Rose, came into my room and had me laughing before she started and after she was all done. She was making jokes and singing well giving me the epidural. I can say the whole time I never felt any pain. She was so amazing! my husband and I quote the little things she said. I brag to people how amazing she was. I’m truly so thankful for the fun memories she gave me. not many people can say that about their epidural. Our next amazing nursery was Kanzy. After many hours of labor we found out I needed a C-Section. I was so upset and worried when I found out. I cried, because I didn’t want a C-section, but I was willing to do whatever it took to make sure my baby was going to come into this world healthy. While I was crying my Nurse Kanzy, looked at me and told me she was going to be with me the whole time in the OR. I was so thankful for those kind words. After she had said that I felt so much better. I knew not only was I in good hands, but so was my baby. Kanzy was so patient and kind with me. She truly has an amazing heart. While I was in the OR I had another anesthesiologist who helped take care of me. I feel horrible because I can’t remember his name. I wish I wrote it down. However, I remember him being so kind while I was scared out of my mind. I had horrible shakes in my arms and he was trying to calm me and told me the shakes are totally normal to have. I was very thankful to have such a caring person looking after me. Our next nurse was Jenny in Mom/baby until. I just have no worlds for how amazing she was. We where lucky enough to have her take care of us two night in a row. She was sweet and loving toward us and we just loved her. Our next nurse was Raelynn. Raelynn was and is such a sweetheart! I felt so bad for her! we where such a needy family and she always came into our room with a smile and was so happy to help us. She took care of us three days in a row. My husband, baby, and I felt so lucky to have her take care of us for three days! When she helped me to the car I so badly wanted to give her a hug. I was in a lot of pain and needed to sit down right away. So, I didn’t get a chance to hug and thank her for taking care of us. I wish I could have given her the biggest hug! The last nurse to take care of us was Tabatha. She was so cute and funny! she kept us laughing for sure! She took care of us on our last night in the hospital. I was so thankful for her little jokes. She kept me smiling while our baby was keeping us up at night. Cynthia, Kanzy, Jenny, Raelynn, and Tabatha, Are such amazing, care, wonderful, sweet people! I truly don’t know how I got so lucky. I’m sure all the staff at Intermountain Hospital are all amazing, but I for sure got the best staff. When we were driving away from the hospital, I cried for many reasons. I cried because we were moving onto the next chapter of our lives and I couldn’t be happier. I also cried because I was so thankful for the Nurse’s and Doctors I had to take care of us. I was truly going to miss seeing them all. I tell everyone how amazing the staff is and how anyone and everone would be so lucky to be at this hospital! I can’t say this enough, Thank you to all the nurses and Doctors who help bring my baby into this world and thank you for taking such good care of us. Thank you!
Love, The Ricks
