Intermountain-NO!

This company is a joke. Doctors are leaving left and right. Prices are outeageous! Just took my elderly mom in and we were treated like we were in full blown pandemic! The 2 girls at the front were practically in haz mat suits! Didn't want to let me go in with her. She isn't always steady on her feet. Made me wear their masks, mine is better. Hate this place!

Intermountain Health care is the worst

Intermountain Health care is the worst! I received a random bill from them in the mail today, except it was not from Intermountain Healthcare it was from a collection agency for $275.00
I have no idea where this bill came from as I never received an initial bill from Intermountain themselves, so now I need to call intermountain to figure out why their billing is so terrible. What kind of organization just immediately sends a bill to collections? I have resided at the same residence for a while now so I would have received my standard bill, had they sent it out.

Beware of intermountain healthcare

Intermountain healthcare, after a minute I found they are a cult. A religious org pretending to treat the sick. When in fact they are the brain damaged, people we all pity in quiet.
I can't get out of the bad decision I made. Being lied to really pisseseoff.
I saw Dr. Prlot. Beware I believe he isn't a doctor.
Just my observation after living 70 yrs.
I've dealt with Quacks before... He takes the cake

The Billing department for IHC…

The Billing department for IHC consistently over charges me due to their incompetence. I have to verify ever bill they send me and usually, the bills are wrong. My insurance provider and I were hung up on during phone calls twice today by the IHC billing representatives. Less than 1 star service!

IHC has one of the worst billing setups…

IHC has one of the worst billing setups I have ever seen! As per the statement you get, you must set up a payment plan. I called into make said payment plan but after being in their automated system fir over 15 minutes, I hung up and just wrote on my statement I would make a $25 month payment. I included my payment. I did this for 5 months and then got a letter from a collection company stating IHC was turning me over to collections ( my original bill was less than $500). If they want you to set up a payment plan, they need to make sure they have enough staff to set up the payment plan!

My daughter was in labor and ready to…

My daughter was in labor and ready to give birth to our granddaughter, My husband and I in anticipation drove up to the Hospital to be with her. As we came to the nurses station, she let us know that only 2 people were aloud in there with her, her husband and one of us...My husband and daughter are very close so I told my husband to go in and I would wait out in the waiting room. The nurse very coldy replied, "Uh no, you will have to wait out in the car, and you won't be able to come back in to see her once she's born because only the same two people can be there the whole time." I was stunned! You mean to tell me that a place that has HealthCARE in their name is going to send grandma out to sit in a freezing car and not allow her to come back in and trade someone off to see their own daughter and granddaughter??? Blown away at the logic in all of this!! You have strangers with gowns, gloves, and masks able to be in there with her, but you can't allow the mother put these things on and be there as well?? In America land of the Free

Bad bad bad

I had surgery, then a week later spent another 6 days in the hospital. Not 1 call from my PCP. Also they LOST my FMLA paperwork which delayed me going back to work. They say someone will call me bk and don't. Now I can't get through. I'm done. Go elsewhere.

Intermountain is the worst!

If I could give them zero stars I would. Their billing department is the worst I have ever dealt with. If I had another option in Utah for pediatric cardiology I would never use IHC. We had set up a payment plan after our baby's hospitalization. About 6 months into it, they changed it from auto pay to online pay without even notifying us. I got an email 2 days before Christmas stating that if we didn't pay we would be sent to collections...Merry Christmas. I called them to see what had happened and they blamed it all on me stating that I had changed it on my online account. I enrolled for a payment plan over the phone and never had created a online account until last week when I received the email from them. From August to December, I never received a statement via email or mail saying a payment had been missed. Terrible customer service and a terrible company!!

I had surgery almost a year ago

I had surgery almost a year ago. My insurance didnt pay because the hospital didnt send them an invoice of the implants, my insurance company said that is required as in "contract" with them, then the hospital agreed if the insurance company will send "confidentiality agreement" they will send the invoice, that was 3 months ago. Which they did even though they werent required to do so under contract with this hospital. This is $42k bill hanging over my head (the patient) for 50 weeks now. And if they don't resubmit by the one year mark I could be responsible for this $42k. I have called I have had them on 3way calls with insurance co. I have called once or twice a month since March, I have begged for help but yet get brushed off with them saying "its being taking care of".
This exact thing happened in 2017 same thing with my back surgery but it was worst then they were billing me for $22k every month for this and at the last moment they received their money.
For the life of me I cant understand why a Hospital that is suppose to help people get better, care for people's well being lets them suffer with anxiety and stress for monthes on end. This is a lot money I can't afford this. I'm retired.

So far I’ve been on hold for 70 min…

So far I’ve been on hold for 70 min awaiting a rep. To get my child added to the my health app to check Covid results. As a previous employee: IHC pays nurses the lowest wage in Utah, yet housing prices are excessively. High. They are non-profit and make TOOOOO much $ so they are buying hospitals in Nevada & South Dakota. All while GROSSLY understaffing, underpaying, & paying MILLIONS in bonuses alone to Marc Harrison & board of directors. It’s an obscene form of greed and provides lower quality of care due to short staffing & low pay for the employees. There is no reason I’m on hold for over an hour with a recording saying I may be on hold for 3 HOURS. WISH I could give zero stars... Marc Harrison ruined this healthcare system so watch out Nevada & South Dakota... Marc is coming for you.

terrible service at intermountain Health

had blood work ordered by Dr. Dalrymple. Had an ma contact me to inform me of my dangerously high cholesterol. Wanted to set up a video visit. I requested a real visit and she seemed very put off.
Arrived for my office visit and was told I need to sign myself in on my own phone. I explained I would rather not hit unknown links on my personal phone. I was told it is a corporate decision. I left the building and am changing my families provider to a company that is more concerned with their patients.

Pregnant

I'm currently pregnant with some health complications. I have reached out for help and advice, but am just being put off because it doesn't work with their schedules. I'm not dying, yet, so it's ok for me to be miserable. I wish I had other healthcare options on my insurance plan because then I could be done with Intermountain.

My mom was admitted to the Emergency…

My mom was admitted to the Emergency Room due to severe chest pain. It took just over 4.5 hours of her being there before she was administered oxygen. My sister kept texting me her vital signs and her oxygen levels consistently dropped below 90% and even under 85%. I was concerned and told them to get the nurse. Multiple times my siblings asked the nurses and the doctor about her oxygen levels and they were told she was fine they just have temperamental oxygen sensors. Really? In the ED you can’t afford decent oxygen sensors? Eventually after the nagging from my siblings they tried 3 different sensors and they were all reading low for them t admit maybe she needed oxygen. My mom’s fingertips were a bluish purple color!! Come on Logan Regional! Get your act together!! My sister who is a nurse tried to get help and was brushed off. Not good!!

I have gotten annoyed everytime i have to go to this hospital. Doesn't matter if it's a instacare or hosptial. The customer service is so frustrating, Everytime i call, i am being lectured and so far i was told that i can't do financial aid because i have insurance and even though i almost died i was being treated that i was a criminal because i couldn't pay a bill on time. I had to not pay other bills so they would leave me alone. I will never go another hospital or Instacare ever again. Rather die than deal with the lectures and basically told that i am nothing and just want my money.
