All the Comforts of home

It was great to be able to cuddle up with a blanket in my own living room instead of going out in the cold just to get a doctor's opinion. I've have always felt like it was better back when doctors would make house visits. you wouldn't end up dragging the whole family sometimes into a waiting room full of sick people. Because you couldn't find a babysitter. having doctor visits over the internet I feel is awesome

I'm not sure how connect care is usual…

I'm not sure how connect care is useful at all, simply because if you actually need anything, you'll have to go in to be seen by a doctor to get any treatment. I've tried to use connect care twice...once when I was already being treated for bronchitis and couldn't stop coughing...I was hoping to get an Rx for cough syrup with codeine...but they can't even prescribe that because it's a controlled substance. The other time I was hoping to get an order for a Vit. D and iron level because I was extremely tired and my doctor hadn't gotten back to me after a couple weeks...so I thought this would be a simple way to get the order. They can't order labs either. I'm just honestly not sure what they'd be able to do for anyone unless it's to prescribe some ointment for eczema or some other rash. Connect Care is a good thought...but restrictions seem to render it useless.

The doctor let me know what medications…

The doctor let me know what medications I could take, but she gave me so many and never actually said which ones to take. I wasn't feeling good and the doctor sort of listened to my explanation and didn't spend a lot of time with me.

We love Connect Your Care

I love being able to call in and have my issue evaluated. It's not fun waiting for an appointment time when you're sick. This gave us immediate attention. I have recommended it to 3 different family members in the past month, even those that live out of state!

It was a short wait.

It was quick and easy, mine was a short wait for a doctor.
It took much less time than going to a doctors office and waiting to see one.

So convenient

So convenient! I was grateful that I didn’t have to leave my four kids with a sitter and go to instacare when I didn’t feel well. It worked well and I was given the help I needed.

Connect Care was very easy to use

Connect Care was very easy to use. I was able to speak with a doctor in a decent amount of time and get the prescription I needed sent over to my local pharmacy. Connect Care was half of the price of a normal visit to my doctor's office.

Overpayment refund very slow in coming.

IHC is taking 4-6 weeks to send me a refund check from the date they approved it. (This standard was verified by customer service.) This is 1980's turnaround time! (The typical "please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery" before the common use of computerized payments or internet.) Here is the story.

My wife went for her annual preventative physical exam (late October 2017), and was incorrectly charged a copay at the office when there should have been no copay. I had to wait for the EOB to come, before the office could check whether I could get a refund. Then after I made a couple of calls, I was told that a refund check would be sent by January 26 (18 days after the 1/8/18 approval call). February 8th I called to follow up on the check not received. The associate checked with her team lead, who said to allow 4 to 6 weeks for payment after the final approval date of 1/12/18. Totally unacceptable! (Not the associate's fault here, but company policy.) That's twice as long as the due date allowance I would have for bills that I receive from IHC! I expect better from a modern health care organization. I'm still awaiting the refund check as of 2/09/18.

Connected Quickly

We were able to connect with a doctor pretty fast; however, the doctor was unable to treat me because he couldn't make a definitive diagnosis without an in-person examination.

I have told most of my friends

I have told most of my friends, co-workers & family about this experience. I did not have to wait long & had all the time I needed to meet with my Doctor and am so glad I could use this method.
I had tried to get an appointment with a local doctor but was unable to do so unless I waited several weeks which would have be useless.
Thank you
