It was good

It was good - very convenient. It is obviously limited since you are not actually "seen" by a doc. But for some things I can see it working. It was cheap which is nice. I did end up having to go in to see my normal doc though, since my issue was partially misdiagnosed by the PA in my video chat. But it wasn't really the PA's fault. She was very kind and did her best over the phone... For many things you just need to get in to see an actual person. I think the idea is promising through, especially as new tech. comes into play.

Too sick to leave the house...

This was the easiest way to see a doctor when I had a sinus infection and really did not feel like leaving my bed. After a few quick questions, he sent in a prescription for an antibiotic medication, and my pharmacy called within 20 minutes to let me know it was ready.
Perfect.

Connectcare for headahce and nausea not helpful.

I've been suffering with new onset headache and nausea that was coming back each day no matter what I did (sleep, hydrate, relax). Sometimes Excedrin helped and sometimes it didn't. The person I talked to said that my symptoms were too vague and gave poor suggestions that haven't helped alleviate my symptoms. If you have a headache and nausea without any flu like symptoms, don't waste your time or money here. I now have to make another appointment with someone else.

Loved it

Loved it! It was so convenient. I had a terrible eye infection and didn't want to go out in public. This was quick and easy. I was able to pick up prescription eye drops the same day and my eye infection was cleared up in just a few days.

Great experience with Connect Care

Great experience with Connect Care. Little to no wait to talk with a provider. She ordered the labs I needed and gave me options for which lab I could go to the next morning. My prescription was also waiting for me the next morning after getting my labs done.

Very convenient

Very convenient!

When you are feeling terrible, the last thing you want to do is drive to the doctor's office. I had my appointment from my bed. The doctor was friendly and very helpful. I was able to get the treatment I needed without leaving my home.

The Connect Care PA was nice enough and …

The Connect Care PA was nice enough and diagnosed my concern the best he could given it was over a cell phone, and then sent a Rx in for me, which worked well enough. I had a physical a week later and the in-person PA indicated concern about the Rx given and that my stated symptoms did not match my (essentially self-) diagnosis and believed that I should have been referred for in-person testing. Huge mixed message--I sure don't feel reassured I'm getting good health care.
Also, do we ever get to see doctors anymore? PAs, although nice people I'm sure, don't go to medical school and have limited training. I feel that with our "new" health care system I'm doing a lot of self-diagnosis and depend on Web MD and NIH.

Very Slow Service

I have used Connect Care a few times in the last few months. Typically when I have got onto the site I have only had to wait about 10 minutes or less to see a provider. On my most recent time using the service, I had to wait an hour and a half to see a provider. When I got on the site for my most recent visit, it said there was only one provider available and there were 4 people ahead of me in line. I decided to wait because all of the urgent care centers in my area were closed and I was trying to avoid going to the ER. I feel like an hour and a half was way too long to wait to see a provider. I don’t know if the delay was caused because I had to be switched over to the AmWell providers since it was the middle of the night where I live, but it seems unreasonable that with the nationwide resource through AmWell, I’d only have one provider available to me and I had to wat so long to see her. If I had known it would take that long when I initially got on, I would not have waited to see the provider. This experience really turned me off to Connect Care and the AmWell providers.

I’m a skeptic and never thought that a doctors visit through my phone screen would truly be successful or for my benefit until I woke up early on Christmas Morning with a fever, chills and body aches. I felt MISERABLE and didn’t want to ruin the morning for my family or to spend the day in an ER. I remembered the Connect Care commercial and downloaded the app. It was so easy to register with a thorough face to face exam by a very kind provider and it so FAST! There was no drive to a doctors office and no wait in a waiting room getting exposed to other illnesses and my family got to enjoy the morning. I’m a believer now because of my experience.

I needed to speak to someone regarding …

I needed to speak to someone regarding my illness. This was an affordable way to instantly access professional help, and create a course of action to get well. I was pleased with the professionalism of my doctor, as well as with the "bedside manner". I didn't feel rushed, and my concerns were seriously considered. I'll use this service again, if needed.

Good experience

Good experience. Instead of getting dressed, driving to the doctor and sitting in a waiting room full of other sick people, I was able to talk to doctor online in the comfort of my home. Interviewed by doctor, diagnosed and Rx given without getting out of my jammies. Very happy and would recommend highly.
