Needs serious improvement
Needs serious improvement. The gym is cramped, the AC doesn't work, and key equipment like the boxing bags are broken or missing. The layout is inconvenient, staff are rarely visible, and new members don't even get a welcome tour. For these reasons, I won't be staying a member for much longer.

Prayer mats on the ground floor is…
Prayer mats on the ground floor is unacceptable, unwelcoming and territorially marked (basically saying this is a muslim only gym), everyone is in the gym to exercise and partially socialise, the place is basically hostile, many people are bothered about it but i doubt they have written to JD GYM. I think il be cancelling my membership

JD gym Birmingham is not good by any means
The weights are scattered all over the 1st floor area. There are little to no facilities where you can practice or train calisthenics skills because the roofs are too low down. It’s also quite small, in comparison to the JD gym in my hometown despite being £7 more monthly and £84 more annually.

This review is solely for JD Gym Birmingham. I had been a member of JD gyms for almost 5 years. I was originally at the West Brom branch but moved to the Birmingham one due to moving house. This gym has made me single handedly move to Foundry Gym.
The machines at this gym are always broken and never fixed in a timely manner. The leg extension machine had been broken since June, it is not september and it still hasn’t been fixed or replaced. Pins are always missing out of machines and there always a god awful smell when you first walk in. The gym needs some serious attention. £30 a month for an absolute garage environment.
JD gym west brom has a place in my heart, but the birmingham branch has severely ruin JD gym for me.

Changing rooms showers and toilets are…
Changing rooms showers and toilets are in immediate need of improvement and maintenance. No running hot water in showers. A stench coming from the drains.
Black mould on the ceiling of the gym in various areas including workout areas bathrooms and showers.

Dirty gym
Dirty gym, weights all over the place, changing rooms are a mess and the floor is always flooded by the sauna. The gym is understaffed which results in it running its self and ends up the way it has. Wouldn’t train there again.

Awful
Awful, ladies section has been striped of weights. All cardio machines only. Not sure why? I’ve remade a membership after 2 years and safe to say will be finding an alternative gym asap. The weights and dumbbells aren’t stacked either.

management need to wakeup
your hygiene is poor cleaning services are pathetic, toilets never been clean changing area along with bath side of that floor is wet all the time, you can't even step in there without having a boat. so Poor and very bad experience just went in there for two days and will never go back to that jym.
