Probably because it was a Saturday, but the gym overall seems to be dirty, specially in the changing room, both toilets in male changing room were blocked, that’s really inconvenient

Good gym with plenty of space and equipment however I found an issue after 11:30pm some people are coming in to the gym without memberships and making the place feel unsafe. They will loiter around and talk loudly with eachother. They aren't dressed in appropriate gym attire nor have any desire to use the facilities. No staff around or security to check on these Individuals. I dont feel comfortable staying at the gym after 12 midnight due to this.

JD Gyms Milton Keynes ladies toilets have not had a consistent toilet paper supply in weeks! We’re having to come to the gym with our own toilet paper just in case there wasn’t any. This is unacceptable!

The classes that I have attended are fantastic and there is no booking system. I have never been to a gym where you can get into pump, combat or spin without booking and it's great.
At my first class the instructor (Stacey) came over and introduced herself. Her class was really energetic and fun and she made me feel so welcome.

I am deeply dissatisfied with the ongoing lack of cleanliness and maintenance at your gym. The hygiene standards have become unacceptable and appear to be consistently overlooked.
The toilets are frequently dirty, and today, there was no toilet paper available in any of them. Bins are often overflowing with sanitary products, which is both unhygienic and unpleasant for members. There is only one cleaning lady who often spends all her time either on the phone or sitting in the ladies' changing room with a relative. Half of the lockers are broken or permanently locked.
In addition, many machines are broken or unsafe to use. The stair masters(which I use each time), are extremely dirty—I often have to clean them myself before using them. Equipment is rarely checked or maintained; instead, staff place an “Out of Action” sign on machines.
The situation in the ladies’ showers is equally concerning. There are six showers in total, yet the cold shower has been out of action for at least three months, after previously being unavailable for six months last year. The second shower has very poor water flow, the third has been blocked and flooded for the past few days, and the last shower has had no functioning lock for at least six months.
As a paying member, I expect basic standards of cleanliness and hygiene. At present, the gym is failing on these.
I hope these issues will be addressed urgently, as members deserve a clean, safe, and properly maintained environment.

Very disappointed that I can only get into the gym once a day. Left my AirPods in the gym by accident went to go back in and it wouldn’t let me. Another time I left my bag in the car went back out to get it and I couldn’t get back in. The membership is not cheap as it is and to be able to only get in the gym once is a bit ridiculous. Sometimes I like to do 2 workouts due to time I work but with this gym it’s once only. This needs to change for me to remain a member

Gym is great, but the stairs next to the red way are broken so it’s difficult to get there on foot.

You need to renew some of apparatus . I left a few months ago because some of the rowing machines display doesn't work . Your other machines are crap . Why don't your staff report anything that needs replacing and replace it

Extremely disappointed with this gym. Hygiene standards are unacceptable and appear to be completely unmanaged.
The toilets are regularly filthy, staff do not clean them, and bins are often overflowing with rubbish. On my most recent visit to the showers, there was menstrual blood present in the shower area, with visible blood stains both inside and outside the shower room. This is a serious health concern and should never happen in a public facility.
Many machines are broken or unsafe to use. Several cable machines are rusty, and it does not appear that equipment is being checked or maintained regularly. The ladies’ cold shower has also been broken for around eight weeks with no update or repair.
As a paying member, I expect basic cleanliness, safety, and maintenance. This gym currently fails on all three. Very disappointed and would not recommend unless significant improvements are made. Very dissatisfied and dissatisfied looking for another gym. Suprised the manager does not get the staff to check every few hours.

I have been a member since its inception, and the equipment and areas have always been kept clean and tidy, so imagine my horror when I attended on the first Monday of this month to find filthy floors, window surfaces and equipment. I’m still attending and three weeks in nothing has changed. The equipment is not just looking tired, it is tired, with creaks and clunky movements. Am I disappointed? Actually no; I am disgusted. What has happened JD? Thank goodness for plenty of other gyms to choose from here in MK.

I pressed the button for assistance as I needed to buy a day pass as only visiting for work and no one came after 20 minutes of trying I had to buy a full membership to have any hope of trying to get in. The gym needs a refurb the floors aren’t level one of the benches didn’t have a handle to move so couldn’t get it off the smith the treadmills were older than me and I’m almost 30. A lot of potential but really needs an upgrade

Amazing classes and facilitators...

Equipments are not upto standards. Broken, faulty. Need refurbishment.

Parking although it’s free its chaos!! The changing rooms are dirty & some equipment is extremely worn/old/dated.
On the plus side the gym is spacious with a wide range of equipment for all types of workouts with loads of dumbbells, benches, squat racks etc.

JD gyms are somewhere in-between for me; i rate them significantly higher than their horrid competitors like puregym/the gym group but for me i always find non commercial powerlifting/bodybuilding gyms to be the best.
Pros:
+ Good maintained equipment
+ Ability to train combat sports
+ Wide array of calisthenics equipment
+ 24 hours opening time typically
+ Vending machines stocked with pre
+ Good lighting
+ Very well priced
Not many cons honestly some of the machine designs can be questionable but i just don't use them.

It is very convenient to have 24/7 access to the gym, and it is affordable. However, the cleanliness needs improvement, especially in the water blocks. During the weekends, disinfectant wipes are not available. Additionally, some equipment was out of order, and no staff were available at all to report. Unfortunately, this is a general shortfall.
