On 11 July, I clearly stated that I don’t have time to deal with this, which is why the Ombudsman is involved — they will handle it. If the person reading this has a reading disability or any mental issues, that is not my responsibility. I clearly explained that I’ve tried to cancel, and even today I’m still unable to cancel through your app because it gives constant errors.

None of the email addresses you have listed online are working — and I have proof. I’ve received bounce-back messages or no responses at all, and not even a single auto-reply stating that the email doesn’t exist.

So how exactly am I supposed to cancel?

Like I said — if the person who left the comment has a disability, that’s not my concern. Don’t send me emojis or hearts — you’re scammers. You will refund me. I have proof that I did everything possible to cancel. I also have video recordings showing how your app blocks cancellation, and I’ve saved all the failed email attempts sent to the official addresses listed on Google, your social media, and your website.

App neither Emails Don’t Work – Dodgy Company Blocking Cancellations
Since the 28th or 29th of June, I’ve been trying to cancel my membership. The app doesn’t work when I try to cancel, and none of the email addresses provided online work either. I send an email, and hours later I get an automatic reply saying the address no longer exists. This is completely unacceptable.

I’ve opened a case with the Ombudsman today and expect to be refunded for any future payments. I will also report this company to Trading Standards, Action Fraud, and any other relevant authority I can find. This is beyond idiotic — it’s clearly designed to block cancellations and trap people in unwanted subscriptions.

I shouldn’t have to chase anyone to cancel a service. This is shady behaviour, and in my opinion, borders on unlawful under UK consumer protection law. Avoid this company.

Today you charged me again. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership properly for over two months now — none of the forms work, and neither does the app. I tried again today, over 20 times, and still nothing.

I’m cancelling my direct debit. I do not owe you anything, and I’m keeping all of this as evidence.

Door entry system is poor, if you leave the gym you have to call someone to come let you in again.
Drains in the showers need to have bleach poored down them once a day, this will kill the bacteria in the waste pipe causing the terrible stench which for me makes the showers unusable.

Great classes and gym equipment. Sauna too! Excellent gym.

The gym is very clean. All the staff are friendly.

Gym needs to update the app to accommodate multiple entries a day without the need of requesting assistance to access second time on site.

Have to use the gym for rehab but won’t be renewing afterwards.
Dirty, machines grubby, cycle wobbly handebars so really hard to focus as rocking from side to side all the time. Broken buckles. Clients don’t clean down machines after use. Don’t like bike proximity to entrance. Women's gym pokey, only one bike and damaged.

Good size gym with lots of equipment and activity. Has a great ambiance and energy. Classes are good as well and don't need to prebook.

Clean, tidy, machines are upto date and the staff are kind and friendly. 5 star for me

The toilets are often in a state with overflowing bins while the cleaner at the busiest time is cleaning treadmills while people are running on them.

I also time my workout to use the sauna up until 22:00 which is the advertised time, however it was turned off at 21:44 on Sunday. Some days it doesn't get turned off until way past 22:00 so it would be nice to have some consistency so i can better plan my workouts.

Worst customer service ever in UK. Nothing like PureGym, always willing to listen to customer needs.

I joined online quick & easy no probs at all.
Would request JD Gym to provide tissue papers if OK.

There are enough duplicate stations that you can always get the equipment you need and the facility is spacious so they aren’t packing too many things into any one area. There are dedicated areas for calisthenics, free weights, Olympic lifts, cardio and striking arts so it’s easy to figure out where you should be and how to plan.
Entry and exit is very straightforward.
I can always see staff tidying up or interacting with customers. The sauna is a nice bonus and for the price, nothing in the area really competes.

Ladies showers are shut from the 19th of May to the 31st — such a shame. The gym could use a fresh paint too.

Gym is ok,negative part smell bad inside,people smell bad and overall experience in not pleasant when next to you people smell bad in conditions JD ofer shower

Some one the eqiipment is damaged and not fixed

As I went into the gym for the first time I pressed the button for help. Thre gentleman came out quickly and was happy to show me around as I wasn’t sure where everything was and then. Kristina P who led body pump was absolutely fantastic. I loved the class.

The gym is so tidy and clean, variety of equipment and people of all ages, shapes and sizes so I don’t feel uncomfortable. Glad I choose JD over other gyms, will not be disappointed

I love this gym I would like to come to gym every day, trainers are very good, I would like to continue..thanks for being a member..😊
