No matter what time of day, the gym is constantly busy. The amount of parking is too generous for the amount of machines at the gym. I find the demographic of people there are rude and class it as a n... See more

Excellent gym with plenty of equipment and 24 hours access at any time suits me better than any other gym

Rotherham gym is over crowded, can never find any weights as they are all over the place, treadmills been out of order for ages, wouldn't even know what the staff look like been there for over 4 months not seen any as they sit in the
office.
I spent most of my time in the gym walking round looking for equipment etc
Given my notice not a pleasant experience at all

i like that there is a separate women’s side, however it is quite small and there isn’t much equipment for example, a lot of women use the leg press machine but would have to mix with men to do this

I don't like the fact you can't move the bottom part on all benches, why are they set to a upright position

Good equipment, plenty of space but having 24/7 gym and access to the changing room between 8-22 is ridiculous.

Worst gym possible! Always packed, you can never follow a proper workout plan when all the machines are in use. It’s awkward when you go and you see the machine you want to go on, on your plan is in use. Then you get forced to go on the treadmill’s because it would be awkward stood around waiting for the machine to become available. Not good for your mental health at all

Changing rooms shut at 8pm on Sunday. What are you supposed to do if you need a wee?

Has everything what i need but only gave 4* due to not having a sauna. Apart from that suites my needs

I used to go to the Sheffield South JD gym and I would highly recommend that one. I moved house and could bo longer go to the Sheffield South gym anymore due to travel time and up until the Rotherham gym turning 24 hours, I signed to PureGym. I thought I would sign to the Rotherham JD gym given the high regard I had for the Sheffield South. What I would say about the Rotherham gym is, it's dirty... the squat rack weights used to be bright colours but now they are all a shade of brown. From what I can tell, there is no toilet that can be used if you train early morning, as the changing rooms do not open until 6. You have to play dumbbell roulette as there is no order to them. I've told myself to ride it out for a couple weeks as JD gyms have equipment the PureGym doesn't... but I'm not going to lie, at present PureGym is winning in my opinion.

I left something in my car and couldn’t get back into the gym and there was no workers to contact. For someone who is anxious to come to the gym this didn’t help. I also usually try coming at quiet times but the ladies area where I like to train is always over crowded and the equipment is being used so I can’t do what I want to do.

Friendly welcome. Matt and Marie showed me around. Lots of space to workout. I will happily keep going.

There is a lot of equipment but there are two many people and is sometimes hard to find anywhere to work out

Ive rejoined after about 8 months off. I always enjoyed going but cancelled due to injury. There was a few pieces of apparatus that were broke like last time i was there. Its a shame there wasnt a sauna/ steamroom but i suppose that reflects on the price you need to pay to get a gym with that facility. I enjoy the classes and my partner is thinking of joining once she gets back off holiday. There's nothing much to fault apart from the couple of things ive mentioned. Satisfied really.
