Went for the first time last night
Went for the first time last night. I expected to get set up with a code to get in but was told they're moving to the app (QR code) for entry and exit. I'm hoping a manager can set me up next time I go with a code, cos I don't own a smart phone and I'm avoiding them for as long as possible. Staff were helpful with getting me in and out. Easy to park in the late evening. Plenty of machines free that wanted to use.

When a piece of apparatus breaks it…
When a piece of apparatus breaks it takes far too long to be put back in service. Some of the equipment is out of order for weeks sometimes months at a time yet prices continue to increase time and time again.

Everything is perfect only one thing i think most people are not happy is the changing room closed at 10pm and the gym is 24/7.

We are a 24-hour gym in Wythenshawe, but due to there being less staff on duty throughout the night, areas which are not covered by CCTV are closed t for the safety of our members (i.e. the main changing rooms and saunas).
We do however leave the accessible changing room open at all times, as well as there being lockers for you to use. If you need to get changed or grab a shower during the night, that option is there for you and you'll have complete privacy in there.

Been a member for ages and used tp work…
Been a member for ages and used tp work in the fitness industry.
JD is a great gym, good layout gopd equipment and lots of it. Staff and PTs are in the main helpful friendly and knowledgable. The gym and changing area is kept clean considering the foot flow
The only let down is the mens Toilets aren't the cleanest area and need more attention.

The heating has been broken and the gym…
The heating has been broken and the gym was freezing, couldn't even finish my workout as it was so cold. The music is always so loud it's hard to concentrate. Some of the machines are broken and there's always so many people ( this I understand, but it makes it hard to train there. There's no cleaning station to clean the equipment so it's pretty dirty

small issues
Some of the equipment is a bit dated. and there is always something broken.
Car park is a joke. The disabled spaces are just used by anyone. And in some ways its understandable with the carpark being so small for the amount of members that are there.
Me and other members have brought this to the attention of the staff many times but nothing gets done.
On the positive side there are always members of staff knocking about to help. The members all seem to be friendly and helpful which is a bonus. the 24 hours is also a bonus when the shifts are a little odd.

Cheap and rubbish
This gym is in need of someone to manage it. It's always a mess, weights just left lying around, so of course you never can find the ones you need. If you go late, there are always youths messing about in the weights section. Intimidating to a woman on her own.

I enjoy this gym a lot
I enjoy this gym a lot, I just wish there was some better equipment. Some machines weights are scratched off so can’t see the weight you’re doing. Missing barbell clips and I wish there was a proper hip thrust machine.
Nice PTS that work here, always clean and tidy thanks to cleaners
