Prompt and reliable service. Arrange the inspection straight away after I agree to deal with JRV, and report was available on the night after inspection. Not having bought a new flat in many years I was nervous about finding a surveyor, working with them, and understanding their report.

I checked the RICS register and read through reviews. After consultations with five homebuyers surveyors I engaged Tom Jarvis of JRV Surveys. He responded quickly to my initial enquiry, his price was mid-range of those I contacted, and he agreed to survey the property as soon as possible.

Tom suggested a Level 2 survey to which I added a valuation. The reasonable cost included both. Though the housing market is booming he was able to schedule my survey and complete the report within less than ten days.

He prepared a comprehensive report, highlighting two key areas. I have now hired an electrician and a plumber to do more detailed inspections where Tom had concerns.

The report is well-written and easy to understand. Tom also took numerous photos to accompany points in the text.

After he sent the report Tom scheduled a phone appointment to go over the areas that warranted investigation. We discussed different sections, and he answered questions I had. He made sure I understood what he had found and what I should do next.

Professional, efficient, thorough, and reliable, Tom Jarvis is a surveyor I can recommend without reservation.

Visited the property 2.5 weeks after instruction, report received the same day as survey. Report was well presented, clearly written and detailed with lots of supporting pictures which was very handy. Would not hesitate to use again.

I was recommended Tom by a friend so I had high hopes.. which were exceeded! Tom was so quick at replying when arranging the survey (quite refreshing when it takes solicitors weeks to reply!) and the survey was really detailed with lots of photos. A responsive service great detailed report with over 200 images of the property accompanying the survey which was in depth with easy to read guidance. The whole process was completed within five working days.

The report itself was very detailed and was accompanied by several photographs for every point raised. The report was very informative and gave helpful advice about further inspections and possible work required. Incredibly, for such a detailed report, it was sent to me the same day.
