Amazing Repair
Amazing repair. Two tears in a Castelli cycling jacket. Looks like new again. Hard to tell its been repaired, well done. 10 out of 10
Good, quick repair.
Very rapid turnaround for a repair on my boots - within a week. Very pleased with the quality of the repair and the price too. Good communication through email when arranging the repair.
A quick turnaround for an urgent repair!
Two lace eyelets on my GoreTex boots fell off and Timpsons couldn't guarantee that the waterproof lining would still work effectively after the repair. I found LSR after a Google search and spoke to their team as I needed a really quick turnaround. I was leaving in a week for a 7 day hike and couldn't find anyone in Scotland providing a similar service at the same or better price.
The staff I spoke to were great and contacted their boot department to see if the work could be fast tracked. This came with an additional fee but was more than happy to pay it. Received the boot back after only 3 working days of sending it away and the repair looks great.
Will absolutely use LSR again in the future and couldn't recommend them enough!

Taken 4 months for my Zamberlan 996…
Taken 4 months for my Zamberlan 996 repair, unfortunately they have lasted 3 months the price £85. Utterly useless.
For the record I’ve rang and emailed you but no reply from either, so I’ve left comments reflecting my experience if you have a policy of repairing repairs within 6 months then you will have chance to prove you a worthy of 5 stars.
As you say, to make the readers aware the reason I’ve posted my experience is because the very poor communication from last time you had my boots. I’ve left you a answer phone message and emailed back on the original email trail we had discussing my boots. I’ve left a picture of my boots in my profile picture so you can see how bad the boot looks after repair and resent the email using the address you prefer. My number is the same as before let me know when your courier is available and the eta after repair.
Just to make readers aware I did send two emails and rang, they have charged me £85 for something that lasted 5 minutes. When I told them my issue with the repair they told them to send them back at my expense and they would put a patch on for half price so that is another £18. The whole unsatisfactory repair costing £103, I’ve just paid £170 for new ones never use this company again a waste of money and poor customer service.

Resoled Mammut hiking boots.
Had my Mammut hiking boots resoled 3 yrs ago by Lancashire Sports Repairs. On there return the boots looked awesome & the workmanship excellent. I have since used the boots on numerous multi day treks carrying a full pack around Europe, along with many local day hikes. So after 3 years of wear & tear I can honestly say I cannot fault the repairs. Have allowed me to get another 3 years of use out of my favourite boots & they are still going strong.

Fantastic repair job on my Raichle Boots
Fantastic repair job on my Raichle Walking Boots. Very quick turnaround. Excellent service.
Absolutely Magical
Absolutely magical was the transformation of my Asolo hiking boots by the talented repair team at LSR. Asolo boots are great but suffer as they age from what they term 'Boot Sole Separation (Hydrolysis)' so that the middle layer of the boot disintegrates leaving the Vibram sole flapping around in the wind. I tried to repair my pair unsuccessfully with Shoo Goo. The upper part of my boots were in perfect condition as they had hardly been used and what is more, just the colour and style I like. What to do?
I found LSR via Google and sent them away for repair. I expected a decent job but thought there would be obvious signs of repair. What came back was like a brand new pair of boots with soles much better than the original ones. Judging from this experience, I would trust LSR to wave their magic wand and repair any item I sent them.
Jacket patch/repair
Managed to burn the sleeve and back of my Canada Goose jacket and took it to Canada Goose who refused to repair it - they told me that it was impossible to repair and would not attempt it. Thank goodness I found LSR who were happy to take on the job. The repair was undertaken expertly by Anne (she had to remove and replace a pocket to do it) and my dealings with Beverly in the Management/Customer Service team were 5 star - both professional and personable. The repair took a few weeks, completely reasonable bearing in mind the restrictions that Corona Virus has imposed on every small business, I cannot recommend this company enough. Although I hope I don't damage any more of my clothing and sporting equipment, if I do I will definitely return to LSR for the repair. Many Thanks to all involved, great job. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Disappointed by time taken to repair
Like a previous recent review it took 15 weeks from sending my boots to LSR, to receiving them back, even though I kept chasing the progress and explaining that they were required for a Camino in May (thankfully postponed until October due to the worldwide pandemic). I also paid for the repairs 9 weeks before receiving the boots back.
Yes, of-course I appreciated the delay due to Covid-19, but wasn't convinced by the answers given, and by then I had no choice as payment had been debited from my account.
On the positive side, the new heels and repair to build them up are great as is the repair to stick down a couple of 'flappy' bits. Also the repair costs were very favourable and the different people that I spoke to were all quite pleasant.
So, my advice to anyone requesting repairs, would be to try to tie down a return date before sending the item to them.
Follow up 14/06/2020 as a result of LSR's reply below:
David, thank you for your reply. I think that I am more than entitled to report on 'repair turn around time' and visitors to this site can draw their own conclusions:
Hear is the sequence of events:
I phoned LSR on 18th Feb 20 and explained to Beverly what repairs I needed; Beverly who asked me to send the boots for inspection/assessment; I posted the boots and enclosed a letter on 20th Feb stating that I needed the boots for a Camino in May; the boots were signed for at LSR on 24th Feb (before Covid-19 restrictions); I sent a follow-up letter on 27th Mar; Beverly phoned me on 1st Apr and this was the first acknowledgement that you had my boots; we agreed to speak again the following day to confirm repair and costs. 2nd Apr came and costs and repairs were confirmed and paid; at this point you agreed to build up the heel area on both boots free of charge - this does NOT relate to 'several' free repairs as you stated; I sent a chase up email on 28th Apr to which you replied 'huge backlog'; another chase up email was sent on 1st June to which you replied that I would get by boots in 7 - 10 days; I replied 'I await' to that; I finally received my repaired boots on 8th Jun.
As regards to you saying that 'website clearly states a turn around time of 55 days from payment'. I think you need to check this as your website, on 'normal turnaround for repairs', says please allow up to 50 working days.
Finally, as stated in my 1st message, I'm happy with the repairs, but disappointed by the time taken (for a fairly simple) repair. Kind regards

These boots were made for walking.
I had never used Lancashire Sports Repairs, but had read positive comments in outdoor magazines. I have a number of pairs of walking boots, some of which have sound uppers, but sole units heavily worn.
I sent a pair of 'Asolo' boots for repair.
They were carefully and expertly repaired using the dedicated 'Vibram' sole unit as originally fitted,
I now expect more years of wear at a cost approximately one third of the price of a new pair.
I intend to send my other pairs of boots with worn sole units for assessment and repair.
I can't speak highly enough of this…
I can't speak highly enough of this company and their excellent service. It was on the recommendation of a friend who had also enjoyed the service that I came to hear about them and I am so glad she did. The repair to a down filled jacket required their professional expertise and I was delighted with the result. I am quite handy with a sewing machine and needle and thread but I know that I couldn't have made such a good job. Thank you David and all.

Excellent repair service- thanks guys.
I have submitted multiple items of gear to the LSR team over many years, all repaired to the same excellent high standard with first rate value for money including shipping costs.
Recently I sent a pair of Hanwag boots to be repaired under warranty and considering the current restrictive c-virus working conditions, the boots were receipted, assessed, repaired and returned within a very short period of time having been repaired to the usual LSR high standard.
The team has always been professional, efficient and courteous in their interaction with me as a customer, I cannot recommend LSR highly enough.
Many thanks guys, great work.

Shoes took over 3 months to repair and one needed to be reworked
Shoes took over 3 months to repair. one shoe (of 4 shoes repaired) fell apart. Argued that I stored them in the heat in April causing glue to fail ! reluctantly repaired the shoe and charged postage. Would not recommend if you want your shoes back in a reasonable time or plant to climb in the warm.

Very bad boot repair
I had a pair of Meindl Vacuum boots resolved by LSR , I rarely wore these boots as I had newer boots I used but after wearing them several times I noticed that the new soles were coming off and on closer inspection appeared not to have been glued in some areas at all. I would give a zero rating if I could as I sent these boots from Ireland , as LSR had been recommended by an outdoor shop here. I am very disappointed at the results of the repair as it cost £80 plus P and P and I would not recommend LSR on my own experience of their repairs.

Favourite Goretex jacket given new lease of life
Severely saddened when the front zip on my all-time favourite Goretext jacket, a Mountain Equipment Changabang, broke just before Christmas. Assumed I'd have to bury it, because the zip malfunction made it completely unusable, which seemed a ridiculous waste. Found LSR after some searching and they have just sent the jacket back, beautifully repaired. So a great job. They were lovely to deal with too. Wore it tonight. Felt good. 'Make do and mend', as my grandparents used to say!

Great repairs made! Quick efficient service and lovely ladies on the customer service side. Would highly recommend!
Superb service and quality repair to…
Superb service and quality repair to Gortex jacket. Almost impossible to see repair. Saved over £200 in not having to replace my Berghaus walking jacket! No wonder LSR gets such excellent reviews. You deserve these.
Very impressive repair service
Had a waterproof shell jacket zip repaired as well as a hole in my snowboard pants cargo pocket repaired. Wow, was super impressed by the quality of work. The jacket is like new again and pants repair much better than I thought was possible. Super impressed. Highly recommend this company.
