I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the performance of LEADERS as my property management agency. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my feedback, particularly for the benefit of other landlords who may consider using their services.

Over the past four months, my tenant has failed to pay rent, and despite this, They have not taken appropriate action. They have not issued any formal notices to the tenant, nor have they made any effort to gain access to the property in order to assess the situation. As a landlord, I find it unacceptable that they have not secured a single payment from the tenant during this period.
Moreover, I initially signed up for their Premier Service, which I believed would ensure a higher level of professionalism and responsiveness. However, this service was abruptly cancelled once they became aware of the tenant's credibility issues, which is concerning given that it was their responsibility to conduct thorough vetting prior to signing the tenant.

Additionally, I have experienced constant changes in my assigned property agent, which has resulted in a lack of continuity and effective communication. Despite the property abit far from the office, it is still their duty to manage it efficiently, for which they are compensated on monthly charges. Their reluctance to visit the property and take necessary actions has only exacerbated the situation.
In light of these issues, I strongly advise potential clients to reconsider partnering with LEADERS. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating, and I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken seriously.

From the 1st call to the call recieved today Leaders have been very professional.
Lisa came to value my property and was extremely polite and professional. The next day i recieved an email with the appraisal ect on.
I Would have no hesitation in using Leaders to sell my home now or in the future.

I was a recent tenant with Leaders and have only left the property due to moving overseas. Both experiences of moving in and out the property have been so straight forward and made easy by property manager Matt. The level of professionalism and customer service given by Matt has been outstanding. If I’ve had any issues, which haven’t been many, Matt has been prompt to resolve the matter.

They are group of scammers who show 6 months contract in their property ad and change it to 1 year in agreement they don’t even tell you about the subscription fee unless you sign the contract, they send incomplete paperwork and take your signature on it. If you have issues they never listen.

Do not rent property through the Leaders Mansfield branch. They are unprofessional, greedy, and constantly harass us with frequent house inspections every three months, treating us as though they are trying to evict us.

We had an issue with the garden, which was unsuitable and prone to flooding during rainfall. To address this, we put down a fake grass rug to make the garden usable. The estate agent informed us that the landlord could not afford to fix the garden due to the cost-of-living crisis, which we understood. During inspections, there were no issues with the property.

However, when we left the property, Leaders decided to keep half of our deposit, citing cleaning and garden maintenance costs. According to the estate agent and landlord, the cost-of-living crisis doesn't affect tenants. They never listened to us, and continued to harass and bully us. Manager Laura even threatened to issue a Section 21 notice to evict us. We kept the property clean throughout our tenancy.

We have rented for over 20 years, but have never encountered such a greedy and unprofessional estate agent.

Avoid avoid avoid!!! Appalling customer service, unscrupulous practices and bullying tactics to get money from tenants.
I rented from Leaders for two years in a nice, well-maintained property with some minor niggles which I did not report as they didn't affect the appliances. I paid a little extra each month for the No Deposit Option to cover wear and tear.
At every visit they rated the property is being in 'Good' condition, until it was time to move out.
They offered cleaning and gardening services at an exorbitant rate, which I declined, and cleaned everything thoroughly inside and out myself.
After check out, their agent went through the house rating the condition as 'fair' only, and I was presented with a 'negotiable' bill for cleaning, gardening and repairs. When I challenged them, they did not reply and hid behind their automated systems to avoid any accountability. The dispute was referred to adjudication even though I declined this option, they did not present all the evidence which I supplied to the adjudicator, including an exit video walkthrough of the property, legal definitions of fair wear and tear, and proof from the tenancy agreement that I was not responsible for much of what they were claiming for.
While the adjudication reduced the amount, it was still a blatant money grab which I was not in a financial position to challenge through the Courts.
At no point did they offer any alternatives or support me as their customer, they simply referred me to their automated system which is of course geared to make them money with minimal fuss.
Reading previous reviews, this is clearly part of their unscrupulous business model in order to increase profits at the end of a tenancy.
If for some reason you choose to use this company, report *everything* to them, no matter how trivial, or they will try and bill you for it when you move out. Take as many photos and videos as you can, as they will claim for the most minor things, even if they fall within the definition of fair wear.
They are unaccountable, money-grubbing shysters, best avoided.

Bought a house through leaders in Mansfield with tenants in situ. The tenant accidentally paid 2 months rent after I had bought the property to leaders as they were also managing the tenancy. They paid it to the old landlord. Now I have to wait for the old landlord to repay it to them, before they can pay me.

An excellent, friendly and efficient house sale process....highly recommend

Yvonne Cranny from Mansfield office has done a superb job. Yvonne managed the sale of our rental property over the last two years, one fell through and the second finally went through. This last sale nearly did not succeed it was due to her effort in tracking the buyer who had gone on holiday to Zimbabwe that it finally happened. We cannot thank her enough. All throughout our time with Leaders she kept us up to speed all the time. This was and is much appreciated.

If you are renting a house from Leaders just take lots of videos and photos and send them by E mail for a proof. When you start your tenancy house and carpets won't be cleaned. When we enquire they will say it is what it is.
When we move out even though we cleaned everything including carpet and painted the house they will deduct a lot of money from your deposit. Just be careful.

I was the first in line to potentially rent a property with Leaders in Mansfield. I emailed, called and spoke to them on the phone and the agent dealing with it, Emma Atkinson, told me she would send me a video of a virtual tour of the house. After seeing the video, I decided I liked the property and Emma said there was a possibility of a physical viewing. She had said to me previously on the phone that it would be difficult to arrange because there were tenants still living in the property, but later said to me in that email that there was a probability of it and she would get back to me regarding my feedback of the house (she never did). I emailed her back within the hour though and told her I liked the property and could we arrange a physical viewing. She didn’t email me back until three hours later only to say that the property had been let agreed! I emailed her and said I didn’t understand, we’d only just been talking about it three hours before and I’d been waiting for her response to give the go-ahead. She said she had given it to some other people that had said yes after just viewing the video. I said I would’ve said yes, if she hadn’t have said there was a probability of a physical viewing! It all sounded a little bit mad and fishy to me as if she was lying or inexperienced or trying to cover her tracks for some reason. It was a very disappointing experience and I thought we had developed a positive relationship on our first phone call. The trust I now have in this letting agents has gone right down.

Absolutely love the team at leaders I’ve joined the team as a decorator supporting properties getting them to a high standard in readiness for new potential customers, all of the team are very quick and responsive in any communication needed, they are always on hand to support and make you feel apart of their team feel like I’ve worked with them for years and they are very appreciative of the work you do best decision I made jumping on board with them and looking forward to many more years of working alongside them. Useless is the nicest way i can put it ive lived in my property for over a year and everybody they send out cant sort a boiler i can see my breathe in the kitchen had people out all the way through and not one person has fixed this heating issue just pull your finger out and sort it permanently

I have had a fantastic experience as a landlord with Leaders. I appreciate how they look after both tenants and landlords. Keep up the good work!

I was amazed at the speed the team took me through the whole mortgage process.
They were effectively engaged and supported me throughout with good success.

Was stuck in a situation where I needed to find a house asap. I phoned through to Leaders Mansfield and got through to Bethany Seddon and she couldn’t have made my experience more painless. She helped me and guided me through everything and got me secured into my new property very quickly. She was efficient in correspondence too. As a landlord for the past 8 years with several properties, I decided to rent a house through Leaders, so I would be in a better position to buy when the opportunity presented itself.

I am writing this genuine review not only as a landlord myself but also as a tenant who was under the management of leaders.

All seemed to be well with Leaders until checkout and I was vacating the property, where they completely lacked integrity...

Firstly, it took over 10 DAYS for them to raise any issue with paying back my deposit but after emailing them twice I then got some answers.

They claimed the following:

£450.00 for damages to the fridge which include;

Replacement upper freezer drawer - £60.00
Replacement lower freezer drawer - £65.00
Two replacement middle drawers £120.00
Replacement salad drawer - £35.00
Fitting - £90.00
Compensation for dent in door - £80.00

Firstly, I was completely fine with paying the £80 for the dent, this was a mistake I made. (Lesson learned, don't rush around when you're moving out)

But the rest I was not happy with, especially with the fact I reported a fridge freezer drawer being broken once I moved in before use, which they said they would ensure this was taken note of so It wouldn't be an issue at checkout. (It wasn't noted, but thankfully I recorded everything which came in handy)

In short, after being a Landlord for the past 8 years, I knew with their expensive charges they were trying to pull a fast one. In 8 years I have never tried to take advantage of tenants and quite frankly its companies like Leaders AND the landlords of the property I was living in, that give landlords in general a bad name.

Of course I disputed the expensive deduction of my deposit that Leaders and the landlords of the property put forward with the relevant deposit scheme and... I won.

Leaders don't try and take advantage of tenants. We all knew... Me, you, the landlords, and the deposit scheme that your charges were ridiculous.

This really did not have to be all drawn out, but you insisted.

I will not be recommending you at all from either a landlord's point of view or a tenant's.
