Ear wax syringing with Elenor, was good and quick.

I was very pleased with the wax removal by Elenor and this time with absolutely no painful after effects, as on a previous occasion elsewhere 2 years ago. Elenor was brilliant, very helpful and considerate. Would definitely use her again.

I am a long-time happy customer of Leightons in Wokingham. Every visit is a positive and pleasant experience with the whole team very focused on giving the customer a professional, friendly and personalised experience.
I was there today with my elderly mother, who is starting to find everyday activities a little confusing and overwhelming, and so I particularly want to highlight the exceptionally kind and thoughtful care she was given by Laura when choosing and purchasing some new spectacles. She was quite to pick up on Mum’s anxiety and took great care to explain everything clearly and check Mum’s understanding, whilst keeping everything very cheerful and stress free. Laura really is a gem - you need to keep hold of her!

This was my first visit to see the audiologist. Eleanor made me feel welcome & was very helpful.

Hoping hearing tests would prove no action required. Found differently, but explained and guided by staff with sensitivity, understanding and great patience. While able to immediately show the potential difference with use of a demonstration model, could easily hear the difference. With the explanations of the cause and effects, were able to piece together events and misunderstandings that had previously been dismissed as something different. The devices were expensive but the difference in life quality since, with the discrete and very light weight devices, not just for myself but also for the people around me has been amazing. The loss of clarity for some letter sounds had made a greater influence than I had realized, partly due to the long gradual decline. I now need less effort to hear correctly.
Vain vanity quickly disappeared in favour of a very practical and rewarding solution.
Excellent opportunities available to ask questions, follow up appointments great to ensure continued problem free use.
Highly recommend.

I am a customer of Leightons Wokingham for both optical and hearing care and I’m 100% happy with all aspects of the service they provide, especially the aftercare which is the best I have ever experienced from a healthcare provider. I have used many other firms in the past and in my experience Leightons service is the best available in the area.

One of the worst experiences anyone may experience, I have keratoconus and was advised with completely type of lenses which is not meant for my case, however said they might know better than my research and the consultant advise but there comes the real disaster, the lenses got cut inside my eyes and they kept looking for the small piece! I don't advice anyone to deal with Wokingham branch by any means

I have to say I was really disappointed with the Wokingham branch of Leightons. The cost of everything compared to other opticians is massively overpriced, although I have to say I don’t mind paying extra if you get top quality service but the customer service I experienced was the worst I’ve received at an opticians.

I have to agree with a previous negative review where he describes the staff as “oozing superiority”, this sums up perfectly the contact lens specialist and one of the receptionists. I encountered 2 ladies on reception during a few visits, one was very nice, however the older lady is the worst person you can have representing your business. Her attitude is more akin to a headmistress than a receptionist.

All in all it was massively overpriced and below par service. I definitely won’t be returning and will take my business to a nearby competitor in future.

I can only speak about the Wokingham branch but they truly are the biggest rip off merchants in the entire optical business. I was quoted £175 for the replacement with new prescription for just one lens in my glasses. Another optician just around the corner did it with a high quality lens and coatings for a total of £47.
Also if you have your eyes tested there they virtually force you to have a OCT scan for a cost of £40 when every other optician in Wokingham charge just £10 for exactly the same service. The attitude of the staff oozes superiority in every way.
My opinion is undoubtedly that Leighton's of Wokingham are a very overpriced arrogant bunch of profiteering sharks and I truly hope that they lose Business to the extent of having to close down as they intention is not to help you in anyway at all but just to make as much money out of you as possible ..in the most unfair and unjust manners they possibly can.
They are a complete and utter disgrace in my opinion and I nor any member of my family will ever set foot in the shop again and I would seriously suggest to anyone that they should do exactly the same thing !

My wife and I have just been for eye tests at Leightons in Wokingham for the first time having tried most of the other high street opticians in the past. The customer service was first class and the examination was the most thorough we have ever had. Everything was explained clearly and in detail and without the usual pressure to purchase new glasses that we didn’t need. We’d definitely give them 10/10 (or maybe that should be 20/20!)

Nothing is too much trouble with the staff in Wokingham. I spent a lot of time trying on and choosing my new frames. Such a great choice too.

The whole experience was good. The close attention to my needs by the optician was very good especially for the various activities I participate in. The glasses were truly good, best I have had over several years. The fitting and attention to detail of the final was good and I felt I was listened to and fully satisfied with the overall experience.

The care and service I get from Leightons Wokingham is always second to none. Routine appointments have always been a pleasure. This time, I had to be seen as an emergency and I cannot believe the time and care that was given to me. The scanner used to image my eye injury was amazing and the explanations the optician gave me were brilliant. I cannot recommend Leightons highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble, and I have been a patient for over ten years! Thank you.
