Absolute Rip-off and Zero Customer Respect – Avoid Locauto!
I had a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience with Locauto. Due to severe, unpredictable traffic, I arrived 48 minutes late to return the car. I didn't just give an excuse; I literally showed the staff video evidence and proof of the massive gridlock on the road.
Instead of showing basic understanding or professional flexibility, they completely ignored the proof and charged me for a full extra day. Charging a customer for a whole day over a 48-minute traffic delay is pure greed, but what made it intolerable was the staff's attitude. The agent was incredibly rude, dismissive, and lacked the most basic respect for customers.
They don't care about customer loyalty, nor do they possess any sense of professional ethics. It was an absolute rip-off accompanied by terrible customer service. Save your money, your peace of mind, and book with a reputable company that actually respects its clients. Never using Locauto again!

Once that limit was passed,our system automatically applied the contractually agreed rate for an extra day.
We will share your feedback with the relevant department to improve our service.

Easy excellent rental experience
Experienced no problems except the car showing as not having a full tank when we returned it.
It was full & had to get the man at the fuel station to speak to the Locauto agent to confirm the tank was completely full.
I agree the gauge in the car was not showing this so not really the fault of the agent but a car issue.
Had no other problems with the car & would use the company again without hesitation

Easy, reliable
Renting was easy. I had made the booking through Booking.com, but my spouse needed to drive. They could not change the primary drivers name for some reason, so we had to pay extra for that. Otherwise everything went smoothly.

We picked up the car from the office in Desenzano the young lady in the office was really nice spoke very good English and was very helpful When we returned the car to Milan Linate Airport we were met by Lilly who again was really nice and friendly the whole rent a car process was quick and simple would definitely use Locauto again

This was the worst rental experience…
This was the worst rental experience ever. Soon after we picked up the car, the tire pressure light was on. We filled the tires with air. When we returned the car, the light came back on. They told us that if the tire was ruined, we would have to pay for it. Well, the tire was fine but we knew they were going to charge us before they even checked the tire. I wouldn't sign off on it so they forged my signature. Aside from that, we booked the car from a site called Stress Free Car rental. We had the hardest time finding the rental place as the actual name wasn't clear on the email (if it was at all in the email). I accidentally booked the car for four days than I needed. I realized my mistake an hour after I booked it but they wouldn't amend the contract and I had to overpay. When we went to put a second driver on, they made us pay for the full time we rented the car even though we told them we would be returned it four days early. The woman in the shop was kind but the man we dealt with was horribly rude and I know he forged my signature even after they told me I didn't have to sign. The signature looked nothing like mine.

Everything went smoothly
Everything went smoothly. Only minor thing was that the fuel tank was not full when we got the car. We returned with a ful tank, filling 14 ltr for a 90 km drive.
