Locauto made everything very easy, both in terms of providing the vehicle we needed and arranging the most convenient drop-off location for us. The paperwork was quick, and the car was brand new. The drop off was also quick and very professional. Everything went perfectly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The process of renting and returning the car went very smoothly and without any complications. The car, a Fiat 600 hybrid, was rented at the Palermo airport after 10 p.m. without prior reservation, which was a pleasant surprise. Returning the car at Catania airport also went smoothly and without any complications. We received an option with full insurance and without having to refuel the car when returning it.

Great customer service

We had an excellent experience with Locauto at Bari Airport. The staff were friendly and professional, and both the pick-up and return process were quick and straightforward. The car was clean, well maintained and almost new. Everything was exactly as booked, the rental terms were clear, and there were no unexpected charges. We had no problems at all and would definitely rent from Locauto again.

This time, I got an old, high-mileage, underpowered car. During drop-off, I almost missed my flight due to the mess — the staff couldn't find my reservation, and the car had been assigned to another person (some Marco).

I have been a Locauto customer for many years, unfortunately, for the first time i’m very disappointed. I ordered a compact class car (Peugeot 308 or similar) and received a class B car (Jeep Avanger) which was too small for 5 adults. Moreover, although the car was new, it was handed over to me with no air in one of the tires, so right after leaving the airport on the highway from Bologna to Faenza I had to pump the tire, and throughout the entire stay i had to pump tire every day.

Our experience was very good. The car pick-up was quick and easy. The car was new and in good condition, and it was diesel, which helped us save quite a bit of money during the trip.

Returning the car was also very quick and hassle-free. We had no problems at all to report. Overall, our experience was 100% positive and successful.

This is our third time using Locauto and yet again they did not dissapoint.

Having used Locauto in Tuscany, and Lake Garda previously, with only great experiences at both we decided to stick with them for Rome.
Firstly rental prices are fair not cheap and not too expensive (booked online before the trip).
The car was fairly new and in great condition with air conditioning.
The service at both desks was excellent the staff were beyond friendly and helpful.
There are optional extras offered but you don't have to takes them. The extra we took was to pay €100 to cover return of vehicle with an empty tank as it is very expensive to refuel in Rome.

All in all another great experience with Locauto we will be using them again.

Dear Locauto Customer Service,

I am writing regarding a car rental booked with Locauto.

We picked up the car at your Milan Central Station office. At the time of pick-up, we paid the required rental charges, and we also separately paid the fee for returning the vehicle at Bergamo Airport.

However, when we returned the car at Bergamo Airport on August 16, 2026, a Locauto employee requested an additional €170, explaining that this charge was required specifically because the vehicle was being returned at the airport.

We do not understand this additional charge, as we had already paid separately for the one-way/airport drop-off when we picked up the vehicle in Milan.

According to the final rental statement we received, there is already a “One Way Fee” of €73.20 plus €10.98 in VAT, and we would therefore like to understand why we were asked to pay an additional €170 at the time of returning the vehicle.

Could you please review our rental agreement and payment records and clarify:
1. What exactly the additional €170 charge was for;
2. Why this amount was requested at Bergamo Airport despite the drop-off fee already having been paid;
3. Whether this charge was correctly applied according to our rental agreement.

If the €170 was charged incorrectly or duplicated a fee that we had already paid, we kindly request that the amount be refunded to our original payment method.

I have attached the final rental statement for your reference.

Quick rental process, nice and professional staff and the car was really nice.

Rental office in Catania airport was easily accessible, service was ok also.
