Shocking customer service from a money grabbing company. Even though we are advised by the Irish government about “non essential” travel lux camp want me to pay the full balance for our holiday and if closer to the time they cancel it they will refund a voucher only. I asked about a cash refund and was told they weren’t obliged to do so. I will be posting this on all social media also in the hope people avoid this company.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY PREYING ON THE VULNERABLE IN THIS CRISIS.
We were due to fly out to Italy at the start of June for a 2 week break. We have payed the deposit but we are now being told by the Irish Government not to travel to this country where avoidable - FACT!
This company wants us to pay the rest of the holiday up front and says in all eventualities this will be covered by the Dutch government - NOT TRUE!
I've just got off the phone to the dutch regulators office and they have advised me we booked through Ireland so Irish law kicks in NOT Dutch - FACT!
I've also been advised by my Insurance will not cover this holiday as the Irish Government have advised us not to travel to this country under any circumstances - FACT!
Now LuxCamp will not refund our deposit - SHAMEFUL!
This is disgraceful behavior at a time when people are totally vulnerable. I dont know if i will have a job in the coming weeks nor do i know will i be able to have a holiday locally let alone an expensive one in Italy next year. I intend to get this into the national media in Ireland as i work for a national broadcaster.
LuxCamp if i do not see a satisfactory outcome i will do my best to ensure this reaches all social media platforms in the coming days.
Shame on you greedy fat cats preying on us at this most difficult time.

Found the site easy to use but we were booking as a group for 3 families and found this very hard to do as there was no option for this and we all had to book separately and now one family in our group ended up with different accomdation and as we had young children we all wanted to stay beside each other 😟
Easy to deal with and very swift response when emailing about details
Very easy booking process to operate. Clearly explained and formatted so you can see each stage in the process. Not bombarded with emails, just gentle reminders of when next payments are due etc.... so far so good
I found LuxCamp very easy to deal with from booking online to speaking with operator on the phone when I had to make some changes. They were very polite, efficient and obliging.
Very helpful with replying back to us with any questions we had very helpful when booking online with this company highly recommended
Only thing was I nearly forgot the due date for the second payment.
a reminder email would be helpful

Update 08/04/20 : I've had to update this review. Such a pity, I had booked with Luxcamp for a week in Holland on the 20th of April. This can't happen but Luxcamp won't offer a refund. They are offering a voucher. I bought a holiday, not a voucher. Completely unaccectable.
I have two options, a chargeback from my debit card(all I needed was the email stating " Restitution is not possible" .
Or a case taken through the European Small Claims Court at a cost of €25.
The real sting in the tail: If I had booked through Eurocamp, I'd have my refund by now. Company's behaviour during this crisis won't be forgotten.
26/2/20 Original Review: Such a lovely company to deal with. Phone calls answered within minutes, polite staff, instant solutions offered and great follow-ups. I highly recommend this company.

Hello to all ,word of advice check your booking carefully as when I booked my booking when through and the deposit was requested and my choice of mobile was available o the website ,but as I discovered sometime later with a email that the mobile I requested was not available ,when I phoned the office I was told that the system is only updated once a day ,when I requested a to be a cancellation list this was no problem but I phoned last week and was told that it is not possible only to book on line ,I won't be booking with this company again ,

First time booking with Luxcamp we found the website easy to use and prices very good but would have liked more information about the mobile home (Jupitor) we booked, for instance their was no pictures or measurements of the decking/terrace which I found was always included in previous bookings with other companies, it just states its included in price, also we always found a bbq was included in the price but it wasnt mentioned in the booking description.
