We haven't even gone on our holiday yet but we wish to recommend LuxCamp. We were in a bind as our airline cancelled our flights. Thankfully LuxCamp allowed us to move our holiday. I cannot thank them enough. I had heard great things about LuxCamp already, as friends and family had booked holidays with them but we can now attest to their great service also and can't wait to go on the holiday we've been eagerly waiting for! Thank you Pleun and All at Luxcamp

Was due to travel to Italy in June we couldn't travel due to Covid 19 ; flights were cancelled . Lux Camp agreed to to let me use my deposit for next years holiday instead, which is perfect

I have been trying to get clarification to get a travel voucher due to the cancellation of our flights, meaning it is impossible for my family and I to travel.
I have tried emailing and calling without success, it is getting beyond frustrating, even though we met all payment terms to pay the full price of the holiday.

Was due to travel to Lake Garda in August with my family & even though the campsite is open in June we couldn't travel due to Covid 19 as a member of the family has an underlying health condition. Lux Camp agreed to to let me use my deposit for next years holiday instead, very easy to deal with.

Had booked a holiday to Lake Garda for June 6 - obviously was not going to travel with Irish government advice not to travel and also the Aer Lingus flights were cancelled! Contacted Lux Camp via email to request refund and was initially very disappointed that they would not consider refund as ‘the flights were booked with a third part so we are not responsible’. HOWEVER, we were offered two alternative options - rebook for 2020 OR 2021. A couple of emails later and a call from Bregje this morning confirming they would cancel 2020 booking and apply full amount paid to our holiday next year when we can rebook. Personally very happy with this - something to look forward to and Bregje could not have been more helpful. It’s a really s€1t situation for everyone but for us at least Lux Camp have been helpful and we’re more than happy to rebook with them for next year.

Lux camp has resolved my queries allowing us to re-book for 2021. This has brought great peace of mind and the opportunity to look forward to a holiday next year. It has been a very difficult and pro longed process but we are very happy with the outcome.

Luxcamp is a money grabbing company. They insisted on full payment for our upcoming holiday in June. Obviously there's absolutely no possibility of this trip taking place. Why would we pay the balance and then lose the whole lot? They've cancelled our holiday and refusing to refund our deposit. I've explained this to campsite operator and they're shocked by this situation but out of their hands. Please steer well clear of this Irish company treating Irish customers with total disregard.
Update: We don't feel it will be safe to travel next year so would prefer a refund of deposit.

Just wanted to thank lux camp for giving us 3 ways to sort out our holidays. We have now rebooked for 2021 same resort, less worrying about the situation for travel. It took a few weeks but they've been very understanding.
Thank you lux travel

We were due to holiday in France in June. The French government have stated that french citizens may go on holiday from July. For any logical thinking person this would indicate that all campsites are closed at least until the end of June, so holiday cancelled deposit returned to customer. However these thieves maintain that operations run as normal until 2 weeks before your holiday is due to start and take your money saying they have money due to partners. IF THE CAMPSITE IS CLOSED DON'T PAY AND GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. SIMPLE.

We are in the situation where the Campsite we've booked our holiday to Spain in is currently closed. In addition, Spain is on the do not travel list for Ireland. I've contacted Luxcamp twice to see if we can use the deposit (over EUR600) already paid towards a holiday in 2021 but they've completely ignored us and sent me an invoice towards the full deposit (keeping it). I've read their so-called Corona FAQ and it is factually incorrect. I'm very dissapointed with this response and will never use Lux Camp again. I would like my deposit back please.

Awful group - so angry I didn't book direct! To say I'm disappointed is an understatement by how I've been treated by this group. We are due to travel to lake garda at the start of July. That's not going to happen with this area being the most affected area we as a family will not take the chance. I asked if we could move our booking to 2021 or get a full refund but no we can only book in 2020. My husband only gets a set 2 weeks off in July so we cant travel at any other date in 2020. They are now not taking calls and keep emailing saying I can cancel but they will retain 30% of the cost of the holiday which is 700 euro. I'm sorry now but when the actual campsites we plan to visit are giving full refunds or allowing you to transfer booking to 2021 why can this group not pass this on to their customers. One of the campsites emailed back to say they haven't received any money from lux camping. Our government is advising against non essential travel and restrictions on group gathering up to Sept at least so why is lux camping asking us to risk our health or lose money. Its beyond upsetting to be honest! They also informed me that if the campsite is open on our dates we cd get notice of that 1 day before and their is no flights to the area. That's not their problem that they are providing the accommodation it's up to us to get there. So if that was the case we would lose 100 % of our holiday payment which is 2.5k that is alot if money and especially in these times. I do think at this point we should report this to the media my if anyone wants to reply to gather a group together to arrange this.

This company is providing UK customers with false information. Anyone who booked their holiday through the UK is not covered by the SGR bankruptcy coverage and any vouchers issued are not covered either. I have contacted the SGR through their website and they have confirmed that UK customers are not covered. Do not accept any vouchers from this company as you are not covered.
It's unfair and wrong to mislead customers and provide them with false information.
I have sent you three emails today and have yet to receive a response. Please clear up this matter tomorrow morning so that I can complete my own review of your company

I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND DON'T BOTHER WITH YOUR, " SORRY YOU ARE DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR BLA BLA BLA , GIVE PEOPLE BACK THEIR DEPOSITS, PEOPLE THAT HAVE BOOKED DIRECTLY HAVE GOTTEN THEIR MONEY BACK , YOU DON'T PAY ANYONE UNTIL THE HOLIDAY IS FINISHED .

One reviewer had her holiday moved within 10 mins. I on the other hand am waiting 2 weeks for the balance of my deposit to be returned after luxcamp insisted on payment of the balance of a holiday (to a site that is closed and where there are no flights to get to the location) to which i said no. They were very quick in writing to me telling me this refund will take longer than usual but far quicker in with-holding the 30%.....a refund takes about 10 seconds to process Luxcamp....
A voucher from a company for locations that may be shut all year is not much good to anyone. Like luxcamp - I'd rather the cash in my pocket.

Contrary to alot of current reviews I think the service lux are offering are amazing. We were due to go to Spain in early June but weren't sure we felt comfortable travelling so soon. Lux said if the holiday was cancelled they would happily give us a voucher for the full amount we've paid ( we paid in full at time of booking) we chosen to change our dates of travel which they have done for us with no additional charge ( bar the fact we chose a more expensive accommodation so paid the extra for that which was our choice and more than fair) they haven't added any administrative fee. They've sent numerous emails back and forth to answer all my queries and processed the new booking within 10 minutes of me asking them to go ahead and change it. Service so far has been 5 star.

Disgraceful actions by this company during a pandemic. No compassion or understanding shown to customers considering the unprecedented circumstances reference covid 19.
They are expecting customers to pay in full for a holiday that will not happen this year and are offering a voucher (completely useless) if the holiday does not proceed. Exceptionally dishonest way of doing business! If you don't pay the balance in full, Luxcamp are threatening customers, already in difficulty because of the circumstances, with cancellation fees and with holding deposits.
These are unprecedented times Luxcamp, people have lost their jobs and are struggling.
Remains to be seen if they can resolve the situation and do the right thing to uphold their reputation. People won't forget and word travels fast.

As with other people on this site luxcamp insisted on payment for a site in Spain that is closed. When I said no they insisted on keeping the deposit despite the camp site being closed and telling people they could cancel for free.
Spain is in lockdown. Most of Europe is. This hungry money grabbing company is a disgrace.

Update 17/04. Despite several emails over and back and a request to have our deposit transferred to a holiday with them in summer 2021 as other companies are doing for their customers, the best Lux Camp could do was offer me a booking for 2020! They have cancelled my holiday this even with a loss of €354 - a lot of money for us. We were due to go to Lake Garda at end May/June. This region is the worst hit region in Italy. How this company expects people to pay in full when people are told not to travel there, is beyond me! We didn't change our minds, we cannot travel! Extremely disappointed to say the least. Other companies have looked after their customers much better.
Charging customers cancellation fees when they are unable to travel to Italy as a result of the Coronavirus is a very poor service. Won't book again
