They took my money and won't allow me access to it

I received a SecureSpend Visa gift card as a form of payment from a customer. Receipt included. The card declined. I checked online balance. The funds showed to be there. I tried a small transaction & it still declined. It's been over 24 hours since purchase. The customer service for both companies Do Not Answer. I've tried All Day. Nothing. The comments on this video are full of ppl all with the same issues from this institution. It's downright criminal. I'm filing a formal complaint with DOC.

They must stop canceling my debit cards

I will give them a 3 stars for being a life-saver when I couldn't get a real checking account. Their elite card (no direct deposit required) works for approximately 63% of what you'd expect a debit card with checking to do. Right now I am having major issues with them canceling my debit card every time there is suspicious activity or whenever I want to dispute a transaction. I don't know why they can't dispute a transaction without canceling my card and sending me a new one. You'd think that would be just as expensive or their end. If this happens again I will have to take my business elsewhere. I can't trust a company likely to shut me down unexpectedly.

Overall

Overall, a poor bank. I have the coinbase card issued by them. It is a absolute mess and the fees are craizy, plus the visa verification doesnt work on romanian numbers. I recomend you to never open a account with them

Unsolicited VISA Debit card

I received a debit card (VISA function) on JUN.21,2022 via USPS, asking me to activate a card with my name on it. I called their Customer service number to close the account because I never opened any account at this bank. The number always rings busy so that I cannot report this fraud nor close the account. I sent email to their customer support dept to report this fraud. But their response is a series of automated emails that do not address the problem. This company is a fraud and should be punished by the DOJ and shut down. I would give 0 stars if possible.

I was given a GIFT CARD, I was told my ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED DUE TO FEES FOR NON USE OF A GIFT CARD…I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS INSTITUTE, I WAS GIVEN A PREPAID GIFT CARD,
Which I CANNOT USE BECAUSE FEES FOR NON USE LEFT ME AT A BALANCE OF ZERO …if I were an account holder I should have contacted about any activity, WHICH I AM NOT SO I NEED THOSE FEES PUT BACK ON A GIFT CARD

I wanted to give them no stars

I wanted to give them no stars, But please DO NOT USE H&R BLOCK, they will charge over 400.00 for services that they don't do and push that EMERALD CARD on you, instead of you using your own bank account then they hit you with hundreds more in fee. It's a rip off and I hope other will get together so we can get a class action lawsuit like they did with TurboTax

MetaBank is a Scam Company!!!

MetaBank uses two subsidardies called," Vanialla Cards and InComm" to settle disputes which are scam companies. No joke! Once you active a prepaid card with MetaBank fraudulent charges will appear instantally on your account with NO legatimate way to dispute the charge. Contact the FTC and the OCC to report them and recieve stolen money back to your account. Don't leave it up to MetaBank. STAY AWAY!!!

MetaBank..AKA fastermoneyloc. Sent me an offer and I was interested to see what I qualified for. It was not great so I decided to close my account. Now I am on the hook for $4.50 for their monthly fee. It is a scam. This company is a scam. Obviously, the reviews say it all. BEWARE

If I could give them minus 0 I would do not use this bank first of all everyone who answers the phone is a foreigner who you can not understand twice I had to contact them with a charge dispute multiple multiple calls them hanging up on me leaving me on hold 1hr and 16 min to speak to a supervisor who never answered nothing was settled and im still out money run from this bank as fast as you can it is run by uneducated untrained foreigners

Be aware of this bank

I received a debit card (VISA function) on OCT.07,2021, asked me to activate my card, I called the Customer service and close the account because I never opened any account at this bank. The account is closed.
But on NOV.02,2021, I received another debit card (VISA function) and asked me to activate my card...I am very sad how can this thing happened again?

I put my trust into this Company with…

I put my trust into this Company with putting money my Benefits since it was 2 days faster but now every time I go to my account to check in I have to keep changing my password over & over again which sucks & then they claim I want to close my account & that's a ball-faced lie they have (FROZEN) my account which this doesn't make any sense to me over my password which I wrote it down 5 times & now I am being held hostage over my money & if they think they want a fight then it not right to hold anybody items hostages period I have nothing good to say about this Bogus site that cons you for signing up for there precious cards & don't get me started about that so-called Customer service they suck as well they put you hold for hours & hours for that lame recording that have to push the buttons for someone to get to you & the lies keeps on coming over & over & that so-called Mobile app is a real joke as well. The need to be on someone's Better Business Bureau site for real con artists & they better watch out bc this is a true Crime that really needs to be investigated period & this Company is very sorry they don't have good from me say at all. Please, anybody, don't go to them they will hang you high & dry & locked you out of account with some bogus lie on their part

I have a Dash Business Card

I have a Dash Business Card. I want my funds released to me. I want a check for the credit balance released to me now and the check federal expressed to me and I will pay for the shipping and all costs. Both Dash and Prepaid tech and metabank some how believe that i need permission from blue acorn to get the money released to me- which is illegal. all conversations were recorded. no one on this earth can get ahold of blue acorn and futhermore is not needed. all companies associated with blue acorn is a customer service nightmare

Bad customer service

Literally I called multiple times tryna to receive help since my card wouldn't work and literally they hung up on me twice and they kept saying they would send a replacement card and I never haven't gotten it for 5 months just terrible customer service on call otherwise my funds are there just they need to hire better people that talk on call instead of hanging up on people.

BEWARE of Predatory Practices

This review is equally applicable to Ace Elite Card / Netspend / Metabank:
Shamefully, this group is organized to take advantage of vulnerable populations that don't have the means or access to reputable banking and credit unions. In addition to predatory practices, users of Ace cards, Netspend, and Metabank are fed platitudes and lies. They are directed to other businesses that likewise take advantage of their vulnerability--such as adjacently located phone vendors, even when the user qualifies for a free "Obama" phone, to get locked into a purchase/contract that is unneeded. There's no automated method to get a statement; users literally have to request an account statement each and every month if they want one. Users are NOT provided with statements to see their account transactions and fees, even upon request. This is especially problematic for users who are not tech savvy and lack understanding to ask for or insist on getting what they need. Unfortunately, the users who would most benefit by seeing this review are unlikely to have the wherewithal to search out the information. If you have family on SSI or other benefits, help them work with legitimate credit unions or other institutions for their financials. Ace, Netspend, and Metabank absolutely fail to serve our most vulnerable.

Horrible held my money hostage left me stranded I needed to get gas and could not use my card because they said unauthorized use on my card. Customer service people can barely speak English and are horrible. I even heard chicken noises in the background like really since when does America trust foreigners to handle Americans money. With all the scammers from other countries why??? I am appalled at the treatment after all the years I did business with them!!!! Do not and I repeat do not use them for anything!!!! They steal cheat lie and straight up do not care!!! Putting money in mattress safer!!! They should be shut down immediately!!!

MetaBank Lies

First off let me state I am only rating them a 1 star because I cannot give them a negative rating which they most assuredly deserve.

I have gotten a couple of MyPrepaidBalance cards, one for my Birthday and one for Christmas. However to use these online I must register them first. No big deal they have a website right. Well yes they do but it does not work, and you cannot create an account regardless of when you try and to register the cards you must create an account first.

You call customer support, they require your card number even though the card number has nothing to do with creating an account. Something they do not teach their frontline phone operators because they are adamant that they must have a card number to help you with the issue. Then after giving them the card number they run through the exact same scenario that the previous person had you run through. Which by the way has no need for a card number.

They tell you to go to the website, go to Creating an Account. Input your email address, enter a password, enter confirm password, enter security question 1, and enter security question 2 and press next. Whereupon you get the same result that you had communicated to them "Unable to create an Account, Try again later."

Now of course, if you tell them this all up front they still make you do it again. If you tell them you have done numerous times and even on different browser. They again insist you do it again. Of course, that card number that they absolutely had to have does nothing to solve this problem nor is it even needed for this problem.

Of course after exhausting all their scripts, they give you a bunch of scripted lies about how the site might be undergoing maintenance and/or some other just as ambiguous false statement. Which they maintain is the issue, even when you inform them of facts that totally negate their statement. Such as, I have tried doing this on different days at different times for the last seven days, are you saying I have coincidentally done it every time they are doing maintenance. No change in their rhetoric. Of course, following their instructions of doing it again in an hour renders the same results before.

Interestingly enough though if you request to ask to a supervisor, they reply they will just tell you the same thing I did. If you insist and speaking to a supervisor they put you on hold and either hang-up on you or come back and tell you that the supervisor is not available which could just be another lie that they have been instructed to say.

Now after having unsuccessfully trying to resolve the issue with this extremely inadequate service center and you try to reach out to MetaBank the issuer of the card. You cannot even get past their automated machine to their customer as it states they do not support those cards.

Try to contact MasterCard whose name they are besmirching with their extremely bad service and you again get sorry we cannot help you with that you need to talk to the myprepaidbalance customer service.

So basically you are completely hosed and you can never register your card because they will never fix their issue since to them it is non-issue.
