Never again,,, they don't know what they are doing

I booked the car as was going to stansted. By mistake I booked "ASAP" and I cancelled straight away as I needed the cab the next day early morning at 4am so I cancelled straight away. Mainwhile someone from their office called me and told me to don't make another booking as they were going to change the one I made previously and actually I got the email confirmation so all good.

I was expecting the cab at 4am but some idiot called me at 1am to ask me if I need the cab, she told me that she saw the cancellation and wanted make sure I needed the cab. I told her, yes of course, you made another booking for me. The same idiot, called again after 10 min to confirm me again that's booking was confirmed. Long story short, she broke my sleep twice to make sure of a reservation that they made for me.

Luckily I got the taxi on time, they driver was ok but the car was really smelly.

Never again.

I had to wait 40 minutes for the driver …

I had to wait 40 minutes for the driver at the airport, I didn't receive any details of my pick up. I had to call myself first to the company providing the trip, they had re-booked my to someone else. Then I called minicabster and they said I have been transferred to someone else and they will contact me. Then I waited for 10min for driver to call me, but his english was so bad that I had no clue where he is located. I waited for another 20 min for someone to pick me up. After that everything went pretty smoothly.

These people are sooo dodgey!
booking gets randomly cancelled, u call their number and it never goes through, all you here is you have reached voicemail bla bla bla, i mean ur a cab company why the hell do i keep going to voicemail?! yet when you guys want to call me you can call with no problem w.t.f?? furthermore its been a week and I still havent been refunded... i dont mind any ways, i will just dispute with my bank. AVOID THIS COMPANY IF U HAVEN'T GOT TIME TO WASTE AND IF U DON'T WANNA GET SCAMMED!!!

Usually fantastic but not this time

Usually the service is fantastic but on this occasion:
-The company took my booking and then said that they couldn't fulfil the contract and that I would need to pay extra for another company.
-I only received the driver details 30 minutes after the cab had arrived.
-The company was very unclear as to where I should meet the car from.

On the whole I am happy

On the whole I am happy with Minicabster but few things to mention:

1. Sometimes the drivers are not on time and they arrive with delays and this results in some problems in particular cases such as a formal appointment or meeting.

2. In some points of the city no minicabs are available such as in some parts northwest areas of London and this is not good at all specially as these points the cab is really required because of lack of public transport.

Awful liars

It took half an hour for the taxi to come AFTER the agreed time despite constantly being told it's only five minutes away by both the operator and the taxi driver. Operator said taxi driver had car problems. Taxi driver said operator despatched him too late. Bunch of useless liars.

I want a refund

I waited for a cab 20 min than call the office of the cab and they told me that they cancel the trip. Than another ten minutes and nobody came, it was 11.40pm and the ride costed me 19£ for 2
Miles max. Tired of waiting i had to arrange it differently. I found it unfair and unprofessional being not even advised of all this. It happened on the 28th of February and i want my money back. Thank you.

Didn't tell me cancelled - rubbish

Booked a cab for 4.30am.
I had a missed call at 2am, but I was getting some sleep before my flight.
No email or text confirmation to say flight cancelled.
I called the taxi firm at 4.35am and they asked me to call Minicabster.
Taxi cancelled by operator leaving me stranded and missing my flight to see my family for the weekend.
Weekend ruined.
Advice: if you can't honour the bookings, don't take them, otherwise you'll ruin a lot more weekends for people.
Disgusted.

Cab never arrived

I waited for 10 minutes before calling the cab firm, who then told me that the driver had a burst tyre with no replacement in the boot. He was at least half an hour away and I had a plane to catch, so I was advised by the firm to get an Uber, which I did. I am waiting for confirmation of my refund of the first leg of the journey.

No car came

Booked a car from Luton Airport 1600. Called Premier cars 1620 when we cant find them. They said that minicabster cancelled the booking. Called minicabster and they confirmed but had no answer why. Promised a car 1650. Talked to Premier cars 1710 and they said 1750... Called them 1755 and they said 1850.... I cancelled and took a real cab.

Terrible Service! Left me without a cab

Booked a return fare from Airport to Hotel and Back - Paid in Advance.
When it came to having my cab pick me up on Saturday 17:00 for a return to the airport they never came. No notice no sms nothing! Called the cab company Devon Cars who were helpful and explained they didn't have the job issued from minicabster and that I need to minicabster help team. I called the help team and all I got was their voice mail on a saturday afternoon... (which I left several messages with details and all). No response from them till I had to call them again on the following Monday.

I had to take another company in the 11th hour getting out of central London to the Airport almost missing my flights. I expect that minicabster refund my alternative transportation cost (60GBP) which they are getting off lightly as it would have been far more expensive paying for new flights and a night stay for their mistake. I also explained the whole ordeal to them and sent them everything via email to their support team.

Please note till now (Tuesday noon) I still have no one calling me to let me know what happened and how they are going to rectify the situation cos of their cockup.

Rude and unpleasant experience

Taxi was advertised as being 15mins. The employee from Minicabster rang and told me the car would be more like 30-40 mins. So I asked to cancel as this was too late for me and not the advertised 15 mins. She then immediately tried to charge me 50% of the journey I had not taken, that would be up to 40 mins late. She continued to ignore, speak over and then argue with me until I asked to speak to her manager and took her name. I am still waiting to see if any charges comes through. I will be deleting the app after such an unpleasant experience.

Terrible Service

Minicabster make me and two of my colleagues lose our flight because the driver went the wrong way, used secondary roads hitting all the school runs and now the company refuses to refund us because it was a cash transaction. Their help desk is not answering my emails anymore, they are truly the worst cab company I had to deal with, I have written to trading standards to complain

Absolutely terrible management

I don't know what happened to this establishment, they used to be good at what they do, now the management has deteriorated to the lowest conceivable level!

I have no qualms against the driver and the car that eventually came (50 minutes after the initial booking which was promised to come within 20 minutes) but when I called the company (Abbey cars) to find out why my taxi was late, they first couldn't find my booking, then they transferred the call to another gentleman who said they can't send a car to just a post code and that an address is required. When I asked why no one called me to ask for an address he was unsure if anyone had even tried to call and said there's not much they can do if there's no phone reception (keeping in mind that I did get email and text confirmation of my booking). He then promised that a car would get to us within 10 minutes but which ultimately got to our address in about 20-25 mins. The text notification of the car and registration number was also incorrect.

The driver was well-mannered and the car was clean and in good condition, and that is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars as opposed one for the rubbish management, and even though we thankfully caught our flight from Gatwick airport, we left home close to an hour later than what we planned which was a lot of unnecessary extra stress to the journey.

If it was a one off thing I might have let it go but I have just seen a similar issue come up with a family member in my house who is currently awaiting a cab for well over an hour now.
