Let down twice bow
I have booked through minicabster twice now, both times having very unsuccessful journeys where the taxi does not show up. This has been a nightmare considering both times were taxis to the airport.
On one occasion I was informed by the taxi company that minicabster had reallocated my job to another company. But failed to tell them or me about it; resulting in a no show. I tried to call minicabster but just got answer machines as this was before 9am. I emailed for a refund and explanation considering I was then dashing across London via public transport to make my flight. I did receive a refund but no explanation at all. The second time they were picking us up from the airport. No one was there when we arrived and when we rang they said they were an hour away and for us to wait.
I get this is a mixture of minicabster and the taxis on their sites fault. But altogether it's a very unreliable site and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Wouldnt use it again
Easy to book, cab arrived on time. I had a car with Great Britain cars and the driver arrived on time, but he drove very badly, fiddling with the GPS rather than keeping his eyes on the road. He did not know the city. He then did not have enough change, so I ended up paying 3 pounds more than agreed.
Avoid at all costs
Very negative experience with minicabster -
They took almost £100 from my card for a pre-booked trip and never contacted the driver. It was only when I contacted him directly about the meeting point that he learned of the "booking". Neither of us were able to get any response from Minicabster, by phone, app or email. I was forced to book the trip from scratch and attempt to reclaim my money via the credit card provider. If I'd used a debit card I'd have been seriously out of pocket.
Clearly, with the news they are now in administration they are just milking customers for cash while they can.

We booked from minicabster and speedy cars (not excatly speedy ) A taxi driver came to collect my friends 15 later than our booking time from kensinghton high to take them to Stanstead airport ...The journey shouldn t last more than 1 hr and 20 minutes ...driver was very unhelpful he drove all around London showing no indication he knew what he was doing ...they end up arriving in the airport 2 hrs later ..While on their journey my friend realised that the driver wasn t following gps instruction and the journey was taking longer that it was expected; she tried to find out what was happening when she tried to talk to him she was ignored and got no answer... obviously when they arrived at airport due him not arriving on time and also taking routes that took longer they missed their flight .. when tried to call minicabster I got nowhere as no reply the line was always engaged ... when got in touch speedy cars they were rude hang up on us and didn t want to know ..definitely the worse customer service I ve come across in a long time ...terrible a punch of cowboys DON'T EVER USE THEM ..

Return journeys Kingston-Term. 5. No-show car. Car company said they never received booking. Minicabster then said I had cancelled! And to add insult to injury. they then cancelled the return journey! Six emails, 5 phonecalls, promises of refunds, then nothing. £56 poorer now! If they are in not in administration, I fear no hope of re-imbursement. If they are in admin., good!
Dishonest and non responsive
Cancelled a pre-booked airport cab well in advance, emailed customer service who said they would refund in 7-10 days and over a month later I'm still waiting for a refund and engaging with visa disputes for a refund. Do not use!! Awful awful service now customer service is non responsive by email or phone, I believe they might be going into administration.
Badly let down
I booked and paid for a car to the airport and received a confirmation email and 2 texts confirming my booking. They did not show and when I phoned the company booked (Hummingbird Cabs) they denied having got the booking from Minicabster. It was the early hours of Sunday morning and we nearly missed our flight - we were lucky to flag down a black cab but that cost £90. Since then I have emailed Minicabster 3 times and tried phoning on several occasions with no response. I wonder if they have gone out of business??
They didn't turn up!
I booked via mini cabster 2 weeks in advance for a pick up by executive car from central London. I received both an email and text confirmation. When the car had not turned up on time I contacted the company on the booking AAA cars. They said they had returned the booking as they couldn't do it. I tried to phone mini cabster but was left holding the line. I managed to hail a taxi and get the last train home but I could have been stranded.
I have emailed my complaint but have not received a reply. Like the last reviewer I had not paid in advance. Lucky I didn't or I would have been £61 out of pocket. I would not recommend this company.
Absolute Dogger
I booked a cab to Heathrow through minicabsters "platinum member" company's Bumblebee cars. I was sent a conformation email confirming my booking (luckily I said I'd pay in cash). Upon arrival time no cab in sight. When calling Bumblebee they told me there's was no record of my booking being made to them, they were fully booked and to take it up with minicabster. As I had a plane to catch and didn't fancy arguing with a man about making a cab appear out of thin air, I went with another firm. I'd sooner poo myself then use this service again.
Dishonest
I booked a cab to arrive at 6 am in order to take my partner and our baby to Gatwick South terminal at a cost of approximately £51.
The flight was at 9.20 and the journey was scheduled to take 1 hour (I checked traffic and journey time that morning through google maps).
Firstly the cab driver took an asinine route through central London. Anyone with any experience driving in London would know that is a ridiculous idea in the morning. Why was he heading through central London? Taking in the sights? Or possibly because as it turns out he was driving to HEATHROW AIRPORT rather than Gatwick. It was only when my partner pointed out his mistake that he corrected course, by which time they had driven the wrong way – in traffic.
Even with these mistakes, because we booked the almost 3.5 hours before the flight there was a possibility that they would make check in at a squeeze. However, despite being informed on several occasions (and in the original booking) to take them to the SOUTH terminal rather than the NORTH terminal he decided to drop them off at, yep you guessed it: the bl*ody NORTH terminal.
As a result a 1 hour trip took the best part of 3 hours and my partner missed her flight at considerable cost and stress. Not ideal when trying to singlehandedly transport a 5 month old.
No reply on the advertised complaints phone line but received an email reply saying they would look into the issue. Months later, still not picking up the phone and now ignoring emails. Dishonest shoddy service. Go with a trusted local operator or UBER. You have been warned!

Joke - avoid using this company
We booked a cab to gatwick airport and did chose to pay cash as we needed the receipt. When the journey ended we asked for one and the driver said that "the office would email the receipt".
thats fine , so we thought... after 3 days and several contacts with the customer support we got something , some one had written the text in the email the cost and travel details. no VAT nr no company name or anything that looked like a legitimate receipt. This to me looks like Tax evation.
Now,12 dasy after the trip we still dont have anything that looks like a receipt and now they dont even reply to emails or calls.
Avoid use a proper taxi app like Uber or even Kabee.

My sister booked online a cab via minicabster and paid by card.However, the driver refused to give her her luggage unless she paid another £16.The driver was rude and didn't believe my sister,actually said that they never take online payments and that she has no clue what was going on.My sister was scared for her safety so had to withdraw cash and pay him.I have emailed minicabster to complain and ask for a refund but no reply whatsoever.A disgraceful and totally unacceptable attitude that ruined my sisters trip to London.Will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!A BUNCH OF CLOWNS.
I was charged TWICE for a cab that never arrived and still haven't got my money back!!
I booked a taxi on behalf of a friend that was coming over to my house in Manchester. When I finished the boking, it appeared in my screen a message that the transmission had failed and that I had to book it again and that's what I did. The second time the same message appeared, but when I checked my bank account to figure out what was wrong, I realised that they had charged me twice!! I immidiately called them and explained what happend and they told me that they would speak to a manager and contact me within the next two hours. Three hours had passed but no phone call from them, so I decided to call them back. This time I made clear the fact that I wanted the booking to be cancelled and that I wanted my money back. They told me that they would see what they can do(!!!) and that they checked their records and that there was no booking or charge by my name!! I immidiately printscreened my bank account statement, where you could clearly see the money transmission to this company and e-mailed it to them. They, again, (anonimously) replied that they "would see what they could do". A week passed and I had no clear answer so I decided to e-mail them again and ask them for my money back, or else I would be forced to solve this with the help of the law. And that is exactly what I am about to do right now, because I never recieved a reply. This is truly unucceptable. I will never ever use minicabster again, and I advise you to do the same thing.
Avoid!!!
I had ordered a cab for Christmas Day a week in advance. It did not arrive on the time I had wanted it so I called the cab company, they adviced me that no booking had been made and I had to get through to minicabsters customer services. I called minicabster and was advised that they would call me back after speaking to the cab office. No one called back so I had to arrange another cab as I was getting late!!! Avoid them they're giving good prices but are not turning up!!!

I booked a taxi to pick up my mum from the airport through minicabster on 25/10/15. When the booking was complete I received a confirmation from the car company and I emailed them with my mum's details. They said they would wait inside with a name sign.
It turned out that they cancelled the booking and minicabster assigned it to a different company WITHOUT INFORMING ME!
They didn't wait inside for my mum and their communication was poor. They asked my mum to wait at Costa coffee and so she did... For 3 hours. They said she wasn't there.
I called Minicabster who booked another car and it all went smoothly from there.
This could have all been avoided if i was informed about the change in the first place.
Also Minicabster should have compensated me as I paid for a very poor service.
They handled it well when I called them hence the 2 stars rather than 1.
Not at all trustworthy, unreliable - stay well away !!!!!
I'm not even going to go into detail with what happened to us but I made a huge mistake to book with this unreliable company & their dishonest/deceitful driver who wasted our time to the point that we almost missed our flight, stressful & unnecessary when traveling with young children - don't book with these people ever, the stress they will cause you isn't worth it one bit.... My rating is NO stars at all !!! Even tho. I had to click on 1 as a minimum.

The driver was very kind and helpfull, not his fault but the service arrived 30 minutes late, puting at risk our flight.
