Great products, great value

Initially I was sceptical as my furniture direct.com had some of the cheapest prices on the internet for some widely available products. I placed my order and received a slightly conflicting lead time for delivery. I contacted their customer service team and after a short delay received a response advising their supplier had dispatched my items - in fact they arrived the very next day. I had been worried by some of the reviews on this site but on balance I feel their service was top notch in the current circumstances and acknowledging I was not dealing with a multi national company. But the prices reflected that so I felt compelled to provide as balanced a review as possible. The product quality was so good, I have in fact placed another order for a new item in the same range.

Good quality. Poor service.

I ordered a piece of furniture as it had a 7 to 10 day delivery time. I paid a little extra than the price I'd seen on other websites because it had a quicker delivery estimate. It has taken almost 5 weeks to arrive.
This company uses XPD as their currier service. The delay was entirely their fault. Their tracking information isn't correct so you're non the wiser. It's literally impossible to contact them (no email, phone number or live chat), to the point I thought I might be being scammed until my delivery finally came. They sent a delivery timeslot and nobody arrived. My cabinet was split into 2 boxes. They were delivered a week apart. For both boxes, the courier just turned up without notice.
Whilst customer service at My Furniture Direct were quick to respond (which was very much appreciated), they just blamed the couriers and told me to wait. It was really frustrating not to have a number to call either. The unit is good quality but I won't shop here again whilst they are using XPD.
Times are difficult for everyone at the moment, I understand that. A little communication goes a long way.

Definitely avoid.
I ordered few items from them in 4th of April and that's good job I took screenshot when I ordered.Most items wasnt in stock but said it's available next day which is 5th of April and would be delivered 7-10 days.After 2 weeks waiting as I didnt hear from them I contacted myself via email and they said the stock would be available after 12 weeks which would be june.I said I dont want to wait that long as I moved recently to new house and want my furnitures,but said if you cant provide the items then can you please cancel and refund.They did cancel but charged me for each item admin fee and card fee .That's was unacceptable to do that as it wasnt my fault that they didnt have in a stock.Anyway I told my husband which he is the solicitor and he wrote email to ombudsman as we taking further action about it.Because it's not fair.

Just received my bookcase and lamp table called Oslo.

Great service replies to every email even on a Sunday. Waited a while due to shipping issues but worth waiting.

Fantastic Service!

Ordered furniture from these guys and im pleased with the service, The team are willing to help and try the best in their knowledge to answer any questions i had regarding the products i was interested in, i will definitely recommend them to my family and friends and will definitely use again! I will never buy from this company again. I only wanted to return a £100 wardrobe.

Item needs to be returned in original condition as the return is due to a purchase error. We require images to confirm this. As item will need to be resold it we will not accept other then original condition which obviously means not pre built and in original packaging.
Also as the item has been purchased in error we will not be able to collect and you must arrange return via courier to the address we will provide once images sent and confirmed.

The item can not be returned. It has clarly been opened and is not in the condition required.
The goods are not faulty and purchased in error. Therefore the goods would have been returned and then resold.
As they can not be returned in a resellable condition we can not returned to the supplier or exchanged.
We display all measurements to make an informed decision if the item is suitable.

This is not in your terms and conditions on your website and it is not made clear you do not do refunds etc. Unfortunately if you are not willing to have the items returned (which is certainly
not standard). I will be forced to take three actions -

1. I will be reporting Furniture Direct to trading standards - the information in your terms and conditions does not state the box needs to be the same, just that the furniture is in the same condition and it is not clear to any customer this is the case.

2. I will also be reporting you to the ICO (remainder of sentence removed due to furnituredirect flagging)

3. I will be rating Furniture Direct very poorly on Trustpilot.

- Finally, I would like to make a information GDPR request for all personal details that you hold on me and my account. I will then tell you what I want you to do with the details once I see what you have recorded. As you should know I need this information ASAP (latest within 30 days).

You’re aggressive manner and customer service is incredible - so I assume you’re not going to do a return then? With this attitude I’m surprised you get any business - your business is a joke, your customer service is non existent and it looks like this will be the end of it.

I’ll be putting all this online to show the public how you treat your customers and with the aim of making sure people are not scammed by you again. I will follow up with trading standards and the ICO have requested the details of the company to confirm is it (Director 1) or (Director 2) I am speaking to?

Also the registered business address is (Publicly available on Companies House) Is this correct?

I am also going to report you as a scam company to Action fraud.

Please forward the details I requested in my last email. You have not sent anything To me and I clearly requested it.

Interesting that a furniture salesman from Kidderminster is now telling me how to do my job (a lawyer) - thanks for the legal lesson there, not sure you are quite right - slander by the way is something that is not fact. The fact, everything will be fact and all these emails will be published.

Lol your legal team, please!! You’re a two man outfit not even low cost furniture but forwarding people to suppliers from your home address in Kidderminster. Seems you’ve reached the upper echelons of success!

And again please can you confirm who I am speaking to? Happy to speak directly with your 'legal department' - alternatively you could just provide me with a refund once I return the product (as is my right 14 days return).

However for this reading this review its important they are aware of a few details you failed to highlight. We are happy too accept any unwanted returns that fall within our policy, the main one being that goods are still in the condition you where sent them in if you purchase a product in error.

The box was torn open and in a condition we could not resell - it was as if opened with little due care. We appreciate you publishing emailed correspondence and hope it highlights how responsive we are even to those who refute terms of service, they click too agree and accept, no longer wish too accept and use reviews as a beating stick.

Thousands of happy customers cant be wrong.

Awful service DO NOT order with this…

Awful service DO NOT order with this company.
System didn’t state item out of stock so when I contacted for a delivery update they said out of stock I cancelled and they charged me £9. I am still trying to get this back. There was nothing at checkout to inform of this and when asked to escalate my complaint to their complaints team they have ignored my correspondence.

Unlike many of our competitors we display all available current information regarding lead times and stock status on all items. Your ordered an item which has a 'pre order - email for eta confirmation' and then emailed a day later asking why it was not delivered. We understand you may have missed the information displayed but it is displayed on the item - in the cart - at checkout and then on your receipt.

Starting to think I’ve been ripped off ...

Really good service

excellent service

order a solid wood nest of tables, Items did take a while but that was because on the pandemic and we were informed there was going to be a delay when we ordered. Overall happy with the service I received would use again as item was very good quality

Poor customer service and even poorer delivery times!

After waiting for a chest of drawers for 12 weeks I finally gave up and cancelled the order. I was never given a single up date on when the item would be delivered apart for when I sent out emails. When I did ask for an ETA the date came and went without the item arriving only for me to be given another date which again came and went. Definitely think twice before placing an order with the company, you will need a lot of patience!

As discussed we are just as disappointed that the supplier is fighting to get imported stock as quick as normal but admittedly these are not normal times.

Before you placed your order my colleague responded to your emails enquiring too lead time as the item was sold out on purchase. He discussed at length with you that the item was still in production in India and that placing an order may be subject too eta change.

Too give a little insight suppliers do not provide daily, weekly or even monthly progress updates with items in production. Therefore the only updates come when we prompt them too check which we regularly do. Relying upon a third party too provide updates and info is frustrating at times for us also and make no excuse but many factors result in delayed responses from suppliers.

Once you chose to cancel your order we refunded you within 20 minutes of the request. We dont always get it right for reasons out of our control but what we can we are proud of our prompt service and for every 1 star review - we have thousands of unheard happy customers.

Bedroom furniture.

I ordered my Bedroom suite in October/November. Company contacted me within 24 hours to advise the bedframe was out of stock until January 2021 and was I happy to wait. I said I was, they then contacted me to advise items due beginning of February. I was advised on 29th January my items would arrive 1st February. At 11am this morning everything arrived well packed and brought right up my drive. The items all well packed. I am delighted with the service from this company and I thoroughly recommend them. Your prices and service are great!

Paris chest of drawers and bedside cabinets

I pre-ordered a set of chest of drawers and bedside cabinets back in November, which said they would be restocked for Jan and I received last week so was very pleased with how quickly the delivery came when they were back in stock.

Also very clear, easy instructions of how to put up, they are lovely and look great in my bedroom!

Order cancelled and told to reorder and pay more.

Their console table looked lovely, so I ordered it. My order was then cancelled and refunded because they'd got the costs wrong. I was told I would need to re-order and PAY MORE to get the same console table. I wrote to them to say that as it was sold at that price, they were legally under obligation to honour it. A rude response ensued: " ... it shows you did not refer to our terms and conditions, which for someone quoting legal rights is surprising". I'm sure their furniture is great, but even if I've got it wrong and they can cancel any order they like, when they like, they should probably reconsider how they speak to their customers.

I'm glad I found My Furniture Direct

After seeing the negative reviews on here I was a little unsure especially as My Furniture Direct price's are unbelievably low. I am really glad I took the leap, my nest of Tables were delivered before the estimated due day and the furniture was of great quality. I will be using My Furniture Direct again.
