I can't really comment - because I haven't used the product. It's insurance in case my pet becomes ill. I'm getting heartly fed up with the amount of unimportant emails that I keep receiving with regards to this product. hence the 3 stars.

I was very impressed with how easy it was to register my cat and very sad that older cats are not accepted which is not clear until trying to register. I entered all the information about my cat including the two visits to the vet which needed no treatment. Then my documents arrived, the policy documents and another request for the information I has already given, name and contact details of vet and so on, saying once they had contacted the vet I woukd hear whether my cat had been accepted. So why I got the insurance documents ? Very irritating to be asked for the same information twice. I chose this insurance because of the charitable status and work of the PDSA but was sorely tempted to cancel because of the inefficiency worrying about this being a sign of administrative incompetence. I have not heard whether my cat has been accepted or not and unless I am reassured soon I will be going elsewhere

PDSA have been really good when having to treat both of my cats and so it was obvious to choose to take out insurance with them too. The process was very easy and straightforward and some good varied prices to choose from.

Where to start?
Well firstly if you'd like a policy that doesn't pay out, constantly resets the clocks, causes you additional stress after bereavement, constantly requires additional information you've already sent then makes crazy decisions (worms treatment = neurological collapse 3 months later with evidence of healthy checks in between) and a telephone line that's very much can't help won't help and tells you something different every time you call....
Well then PDSA insurance is the right insurance for you.
If you'd like sympathetic insurance, one that pays out go elsewhere
Time for ombusmans

I have had to claim a number of times and I’ve never had a problem. Pay out is quick, usually within 5 days of a decision being made.

Good price and good excess. I like the dashboard. Just annoying that they don't insure you for the first two weeks, even though I sent them the close letter of my John Lewis insurance they still quibbled about it.
