My Claim

My Claim was dealt with fairly and quickly. Chloe dealt with my claim. Her communication was clear and prompt.
I didnt follow their procedure as i used my own local bike shop., but they were very fair and did not make this an issue

A happy customer

My claim was dealt with in a kind and efficient manner. I was gutted to have my bike stolen but at least the insurance claim process was smooth. I forgot to cancel my policy renewal and this was also easy to resolve and got an immediate refund. Thank you Chloe!

Slow and ineffective - avoid.

I took out full, expensive bike insurance with Pedalsure expecting quick, supportive help if anything went wrong. After a crash left my carbon aero race bike damaged, the reality has been the opposite.

Pedalsure had an independent report from the manufacturer’s authorised shop from day one confirming the bike had sustained damage, including visible damage to the frame and fork. Yet they chose to ignore that and push for further, costly inspections to confirm internal damage to the frame instead of resolving the claim — even though this is a no-fault claim where the third party has admitted liability.

They now insist on stripping and packaging the bike, shipping it from the manufacturer’s store to a carbon specialist, then shipping it back to the manufacturer for reassembly, further repairs, and re-validation. The cost of this convoluted process is almost as high as simply replacing the bike outright, yet they insisted on it, leaving me without a bike for at least six weeks.

To justify their inspect-do-not-replace decision, they’re also pushing back against repainting my scratched frame and fork as it's “cosmetic damage,” even though damage on an aero race bike directly affects its performance and resale value.

It’s been slow, frustrating, and shows a real lack of understanding of what serious cyclists need from an insurer — speedy and effective coverage. If you value your time, your equipment, and your peace of mind, I’d look elsewhere.

We’re sorry for your frustration. As with any insurance, we must follow a clear claims process to protect you and all policyholders.

Parts of your account don’t reflect our records; to be accurate: some actions were arranged before our approval and outside the policy process, which introduced avoidable handling and delay. The retailer you approached prior to notifying us identified brake damage and superficial marks to the frame and fork; it did not confirm structural failure. In line with their recommendation and our policy for carbon frames, we arranged an independent carbon specialist assessment and asked for the bike to be sent as is for a single-step inspection.

Once the report is in, we’ll replace if the frame is unsafe or beyond economical repair, or proceed with repair (or discuss cash in lieu) if safe. Hire is covered within your policy limits. We’re already in direct contact and will keep you updated; if there’s anything else we can do, please let us know.

Excellent and efficient service

Excellent Service

Very impressed with the level of service offered by Pedalsure. I unfortunately had to make a claim on my insurance and Chloe was very responsive and understanding. I was kept fully up to date with what was happening and the claim was processed very promptly. Can't recommend them highly enough and will certainly be taking out a new policy with them in the future.

Great bike insurance company that walks the talk!

We had been with Pedalsure for 2 years when sadly our family e-cargo bike was stolen, in bright daylight at 9am close to a high street, after school drop.
Chloe was very helpful and approachable throughout all the steps taken for our claim. Pedalsure reviewed the claim and opted in our favour. I can only recommend them to anyone riding an e-cargo or e-bike nowadays with the growing number of thefts out there.
