Great service and very easy to make the claim after my bike was stolen. Highly recommended

Very straight-forward to set up and renew my policy with them and the monthly payments were super competitive from what I had looked at. And when the sad time came that my bike was stolen, I filled out the claim report as quickly as I could with all the evidence I had at hand. And they responded in 4 days (that included a weekend) providing me with the full cover minus the excess and a policy fee. I plan on insuring my next bike with them for sure.

My bike was stolen inside my office building, as the office only has desks, and no immovable elements that were good enough, I thought that leaving my bike inside a locker (the locker was locked) was a safer option, than locking it to the leg of a desk, where a lock could have been easily slid under, but for Pedal sure, even that my bike was inside a locker, it was not good enough.

Then, they gave me the second "final blow" with their "Away from the insured location" rules, they think that through years and years, your bike will always be at your house or not away from your house for more than 12 hours, and it is crazy that they don't even consider your office like a proper location.

So be careful, kudo for those who read the policy again before putting the claim through, and for the ones who are thinking of subscription to Pedalsure, be careful. Buy the lock they want, and "make sure" to tell them that your bike is not away from your insured place for more than 12 hours, the rest doesn't matter, so don't bother sending them CCTV or anything else.

TLDR: My ebike got stolen, and after making a claim and provide all necessary evidence and information, it took only a week before Pedalsure investigated and made decision to pay me almost full amount of my ebike original purchase value!

I bought my eCargo bike in 2021 mainly for riding my kids to school, and since it was a very expensive purchase, I bought the bike insurance from Pedalsure, recommended by my ebike dealer Fully Charged.
I locked my bike in front of my house, within a small private pouch area, using the Abus highest grade Bordo Granit Xplus fold lock to secure the bike on the very tall tree. Also I another Abus chain lock and cafe lock for extra security. I have a wifi security camera set up outside so anyone comes in or out will be recorded, and I have motion sensor lights around the bike. But still on last week, two guys came around 5am, and despite the bright surroundings and very quiet neighbourhood, they used something like an angle grinder to destroy the main lock and then just carried the bike away.
I only realised the loss in the morning when I was about to ride my kids to school…
I immediately took a video recording of the surrounding scene, and saved the security camera footage, and reported police, and then I made a claim on Pedalsure’s website for this case. Very soon a representative contacted me via email and asked for more information they need.
My experience was very positive. The response is fast, and the manner was very professional and friendly. I didn’t feel any pressure or being misled into a certain direction. I was informed about the rules, and they are willing to accept my evidence to proof I did my best to keep my bike secure.
So a week later, I was informed of their decision, and they will pay me almost the full amount of my original purchase price!
It is sad to experience the thievery and lose a bike I put a lot of effort in to make it more comfortable to ride for me and my family, but I am glad I bought the insurance from Pedalsure and I am so glad I can be compensated this way, so I can buy another cargo bike very soon.
My usual ecpectation with insurance companies is that they always try to avoid their liability whenever they can when customers make claims, but I didnt feel that at all with Pedalsure. I would highly recommend Pedalsure to anyone with a ebike or expensive bike! But like my self, please do go through their police to make sure your bike parking situation is covered according to their rules. For example, if a bike is parked in public street away from your home, it might impact the effectiveness. Also please don’t go cheap on locks and security measures, and never feel you are overdoing it. You do need to proof that you have a great lock and you locked it properly onto a secured object.
I will buy the insurance from Pedalsure again when I make the purchase of my new bike :) I will upgrade my security further this time so I won’t lose my bike again, but it is reassuring to know that even in the most extremely unfortunate circumstance, Pedalsure got me covered!

The process and documentation needed for the claim was clearly set out, and then put through very quickly, no more than a couple of days, when similar procedures can take weeks.
