P&V generally

In general my own and my family’s experience over a number of years has been that Pierre & Vacances has become one of the worst examples of an extremely un-professional and non-service minded French company we have come across at all !
Not only have their sites become filthy and are not maintained at all from any point of view, but last time our daughter became sick and was vomiting due to the extremely dirty pool water, on day one…
From a Management and organisational point of view – we have had hardly any minimal professional feedback on a sale of a timesharing ownership over the last three years !
Overall we can only in the strongest possible terms – advise to avoid this organisation at all from any point of view !
PS : if possible they should have a Zero star rating !

Got there at 2.30am tired only for them…

Got there at 2.30am tired only for them to put is a filthy room..the next 2 they offered were also filthy.
On arrival they told us they needed a €200 deposit which we knew nothing of
We went in October only for the pool to be unusable as it was in the shade all day and was freezing

Terrible - noisy, no management support

Raucous parties in neighbouring apartments until 4am each night. Vomit on our balcony. No support from management. Management advised not their problem, call police. No response to letter of complaint sent via their complaint web page and also sent to every single Pierre et Vacance email address I could find online in over a week. Never again.

Dear Mr. Arnaud-Battendier,

I am writing to express my disappointment with the noise disturbance we experienced during our recent stay at Les Schuss, Val Thorens. My family and I were hoping for a relaxing ski holiday, but unfortunately, our sleep was greatly affected by the loud parties in the neighboring flats that continued until 4 am. The noise level was intolerable, and it was impossible for us to get a good night's sleep. The constant loud music and shouting made it extremely difficult for us to relax and enjoy our holiday.

We made several complaints to staff at Pierre Vacances, Les Temples du Soleil about the noise but nothing was done to address the issue - we were told it was not possible to be moved and they were not willing to provide in-house security. Instead, we were told that this was not a Pierre Vacances concern but a matter for the police. On this advice, the following evening, when disturbed we called the local police, due to language barriers this did not result in any action. In an effort to get some police response, at 9.50pm we called your reception staff based at Pierre Vacances, Les Temples du Soleil. Leah promised to call the police on our behalf. After 30 mins we called again for an update since the noise situation had deteriorated further. We spoke with Steve, who told us that Leah had not in fact called the police, Steve agreed to do so and throughout the evening provided wonderful help and communication with us. Close to midnight the police arrived and the noise abated. Our final night in your apartment was quiet and undisturbed, as I would have expected the previous 5 nights to have been, by this time I was exhausted as were our three young children (5years, 10years and 12years).

I have attached a noise recording as an example of the noise that we were subject to for 4 out of 6 nights, this continued to approximately 4am in the morning. I have also attached a photo of the vomit which we woke to on our balcony, needless to say our young children were disgusted. You market your accommodation to families; this fell far short of expectations.

In light of this experience, I would like to request a refund or compensation for the inconvenience caused. I hope that you will take the necessary steps to address this issue and ensure that future guests are not subjected to the same disturbance. Thank you for your attention to this matter I look forward to hearing from you.

Day 9 of waiting for our 200 euro…

Day 9 of waiting for our 200 euro deposit from origo mare. Which we got told gets released on the day we leave. The site it's self is lovely apart from only one pool of 5 having water in it but the rest is mint. But no reply must be 8 emails 2, 2 calls and dozens of reviews abd all you get is we will look into this for you. Is this a scam ???. Never waited 9 days for any deposit to return. Next step media and legal advice

Shockingly Poor Experience

Shockingly poor experience. I paid a lot of money for a Pierre et Vacances Hotel in Normandy and was put in a dirty, unprepared room, with sheets all over the floor and dust everywhere. Broken door and inadequate facilities. Asked to move after 3 days and was moved within 24 hours, but manager refused to speak with me and they took 6 months to offer a meagre refund. I will tell everyone I know not to book through this horrendous company.

The manager is so rude

The manager is so rude, if you dispute any issues with the hotel “they simply inform you they don’t care”. All inclusive is not all inclusive and the experience of food was very bad. Stray cats in the bar

Horrific experience, can’t sleep!!!

Horrific experience, impossible to sleep at night with the windows open. Your neighbours are allowed to speak on their terrace (and smoke of course) until…No limit in the night! When you explain to the person on duty charged to call security that at 1AM you really would like to sleep, the answer is ‘Mais Madame, they are on holidays they can make the most of their terrace as long as there’s no music’. And what about me? Am i not on holidays too and entitled to a good night sleep? Not according to French logic clearly! Duh!!

I give 1 Star as the option for 0 isn’t…

I give 1 Star as the option for 0 isn’t available. Currently staying in P & V. On arrival AC not cool and has been completely broken for the past 5 days. Reception have no idea when it will be repaired and with the current heat wave it is very uncomfortable to say the least. It was not clean on arrival, terrible drain smell in bathroom. There was a cockroach running in the bathroom! Taking a shower you either get scalded or freeze as the thermostat is not regulated. I could go on and on. We wrote to complain and we’re told if we check out we will be refunded. After reading all these bad reviews we are not taking the chance and will stay out. We will never use P & V again and I’m just sorry we didn’t read the reviews before we paid in advance for a 3 week stay. STAY AWAY. It’s awful

Pierre et Vacances ,trying to get a…

Pierre et Vacances ,trying to get a refund from this company was exhausting, I had to cancel my holiday when Covid broke in March 2 years ago , I received no refund on my ski package and a small partial refund on my holiday cost after hounding this company for a refund.
My friend who booked the same property through BOOKING.COM received a full refund , so well done to Booking.com. I will never book with Pierre et Vances again.

Hate this place already

Just arrived + I already want to go home
I hate it
The superior villa is anything but...it's beyond basic
The terrace is a gravel waste ground in full view of the road + pedestrian traffic
The supermarket for want of a better word is extortionate + stocks convenience foods...no thanks
The staff are hopeless at reception + know nothing apart from how to take money ....they find that extremely easy for some reason. We will have to hire a car so we shop at a proper supermarket in order to eat properly as the restaurant is extortionate
Its my nightmare holiday situation + I can't wait to go home

Horrific experience and will never use…

Horrific experience and will never use them again. This company owe us money as we wanted to revise our booking from 7 days to 3 days as per their apparent flexible cancellation policy. They ignored our request and basically blackmailed us to pay the money for the full 7 days, promising the refund for the 2 days later. The refund was later denied and we can’t elicit any response from them now. Sneaky and unscrupulous company. Avoid at all costs.

Not ideal to say the least

We have booked holidays with this company and have a baby, reservation explains a cot can be booked which we did. Unfortunately there is no mattress with the cot that comes 'in standard size' - we then called service center to know what 'standard size' was so we could buy a mattress for our child. Service center was clearly not bothered and treated us at a standard that is not expected when you pay multiple thousands for a trip.

Don't go near this company

Don't go near this company. We were supposed to have a Skiing holiday in April 2020 which of course had to be cancelled due to France closing all areas due to Covid. We were offered a voucher for €1026 which was valid till October 2021. Due to vaccine restrictions we could not travel to France but Pierre et Vacances then said we could have a refund that would be paid in 3-4 weeks. After 6 weeks we chased the money to be told it will take 8-10 weeks. 4 phone calls later and still no money. We have spent a lot of money with this company over the years. Never again.

The booking process was really tricky

The booking process was really tricky – trying to book multiple apartments online was impossible so had to call. Had to call multiple times to check the bookings were confirmed as I didn't receive all of the confirmation emails. Then unfortunately the holiday was cancelled due to COVID, and we're still awaiting a refund.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Have a no cancellation refund policy even if you change your mind within 24 hours after reading your paperwork and realising you have made a mistake.
In the paperwork they tell you to contact the property for a refund, they then tell you to contact the Paris office, they then send you to a website that only allows you to complain about a holiday you have had.
This is one of the biggest companies in France but I feel like I have been scammed by some very heartless criminals operating on a very large scale.

P&V refused to refund full cost of my cancelled holiday

I booked a skiing weekend at Pas de la Cas with P&V in Andorra for March 2019 at a cost of 800€. Resort was closed due to lockdown in France so we were not able to use our booking. I asked for refund but Pierre & Vacances only offered a 400€ voucher. Despite letters and calls they never replied and I was only ever offered 400€. I am awaiting my refund but it has still not been received. I have been robbed and will never recommend this company.

Horrendous company

Horrendous company. Avoid. As others have said, no refund paid on holiday booked for March 2020 (now over 18 months ago) which was cancelled due to covid. Firstly hiding behind French law to not refund, and for the last 6 months hiding behind admin issues. Many thousands of pounds owed in refund and no repayment. They have (probably illegally) held our money now for 2 years. Customer service horrendous. DO NOT book a holiday with or deal with this business.
