Genuinely so pleased with the PR team

Genuinely so pleased with the PR team, Annie was so helpful answering our questions and guiding us through the setup. Since then all our calls get answered, the team screen all the calls and transfer through all the relevant ones! 10/10 would recommend

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. There’s no reliable system in place to get a timely response from them. They only provide one number to call, but that never resolves any issues — no matter how urgent or small. Every time, you're just asked to email, and then left waiting indefinitely for a response. Whether it's a minor concern or something serious, they always take their own time to get back to you, which is incredibly frustrating.

I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed with the situation. Upon reviewing our records, I see that we've had over 10 separate communications with you via phone and email since September 28th, the last handful being in regards to a failing payment. You have requested us to process the payment, but each time we've received an "insufficient funds" error from our payment processor.

While you’ve indicated that there are sufficient funds available, we can only proceed based on the information provided by our payment merchant. We’ve suggested that you contact your bank for further assistance, as this issue lies beyond our control until that is done. Alternatively, if you are able to provide a different payment method, we would be happy to assist you in processing the payment.

We have been using Pocket Receptionist for few months, firstly, they kept raising their prices, less than one month after we joined they raised the call charges and never told us this when we signed up (cheap business practice). Secondly, since they changed their system with the new system they wrongly kept charging us extra calls and minutes. We had to audit their charges taking our time and complain to them in order to get a refund. Unfortunately they never refunded our money as we asked but ONLY offered to credit the wrongly taken charges to the next invoice which is NOT LEGAL. If
we did not audit their ever increasing charges no one would have told us of their wrongful charges and surely they would not have refunded us. Thirdly, the receptionists did not follow our simple instructions for calls ( just take the name, Tel number and email of callers - DO NOT take the reason for the call. They let callers talk on just to charge you extra money...). Fourthly, in August after we kept raising issues with them the manager Natalie sent us an email giving us 2 weeks notice to terminate the reason being given was because of our complaints. Cleary they do not like clients that know their rights and do not accept being used and abused. Fifthly, during the termination period we asked for copies of the invoices as they are needed for HMRC Tax purposes for the business. They failed to provide all invoices saying that since their system changed it was our responsibility to download the invoices. The LAW in the UK is clear and states that traders must keep and provide copies of the invoices. Now we reported them, please do the same if they do not provide you with the invoices they charged you. This is the last email we received from them after our request for copies of the invoices we paid them:

"Under the circumstances of our business partnership, which has now been terminated, we are not obliged to provide any further information to XXX at this stage.

As has been previously communicated, there was an opportunity to download company data, including invoices, up to the 5th of February 2024. Reminders were also sent out as stated in previous emails. "

The bottom line is that Pocket Receptionist do not care about their clients, they only care about the charges they can get.

We take all customer feedback seriously and reviewed your account with our executive leadership. After careful consideration and extensive discussion, we came to a difficult decision. While we have made every effort to meet your expectations and improve the business relationship, it was in our mutual best interests to part ways. We were committed to making the transition as smooth as possible for you so you can start using a new provider.

The PO team has been very good and…

The PO team has been very good and helpful. They handle our calls smoothly, alleviating pressure for me. The team leader, Christie, is easy to approach and extremely helpful. They have tailored their services to meet our needs. I am very happy with the team.

An essential service

Pocket Receptionist is an essential service for our company because they can handle the initial enquiry for us so we can continue to handle the previous enquiries we have received without distraction and delay. They can filter out unwanted spam and cold calls, but more importantly, they can tailor their responses to your needs so new contacts and old treasured contacts alike get the personal service you would want to give if you weren't already busy with the last task someone set for you. We are in our eighth year with them and have never looked back since we decided to add them to our team. Thanks, guys!

Great Team

Agents never follow the script and it…

Agents never follow the script and it was a big struggle to follow up after each and every wrong call landed in the office. More importantly, it is a breach of GDPR, when they recorded every call that has been transferred to the office. So, we decided to terminate the contract.

We have been attempting to contact you for several weeks to suggest ways to adapt the script for different types of enquiries as we found many callers were confused because their query did not align with the script the receptionists were following. Unfortunately, we have not received any response from you.

As a company we pride ourselves on transparency and our terms state that all calls are recorded; I can confirm that the call recording feature was turned off as soon as you requested it.
