I thought they were a UK based company due to the name of the website but I can confirm that my laptop battery was delivered and worth the wait

Be Careful! Be very, very careful!
I ordered two adapters for my laptop on Sept. 23, 2017. I paid thru PayPal. They were paid immediately. They sent a confirmation email right away, saying that it would take 7 to 10 business days to receive my order. They did not provide any tracking information and did not provide the name of the shipping company. On October 12, I emailed them, letting them know that my order had not arrived. They responded that the order had been returned for lack of a signature. Whatever shipping company they used, did not leave a notice that there was a delivery attempt for a package that required a signature. I emailed them that information. They emailed that they would contact the shipping company on October 12. A week has gone by, so I again requested a refund. No reply.
Since I paid through PayPal, I have opened a dispute with them. I hope they can help get a refund for me!
UPDATE:
I changed the rating from 1 to 2 stars.
After opening a complaint with PayPal and posting this review, I received notice from PayPal that the case was closed. The money was refunded. PowerSupplier.biz had also been sent a copy of this review.
It shouldn't be so difficult to receive a refund for an item that was not received.
Also, if a signature is required for a package, the buyer should be told and the shipping company should be named in emails.
Fraudulent. AVOID at all cost
Double charge on credit card.
Item not received - only a package containing a small empty plastic box, which is clearly not a phone battery.
Website name has changed recently, again.
Not UK company as stated on website. Chinese based.
No customer service.
Paypal are turning a blind eye to this clearly fraudulent company.
BEWARE !
My problems with this company mirror the previous post. I didn't get any tracking information to say when I could expect my delivery until I started complaining. When I did get a response it was in very bad broken English, maybe a ploy so they could claim they do not understand the word REFUND.
Hermes posted a blank slip through my letter box ( clever NOT ! )
I have since learned through trust pilot how unhelpful this company is and how bad their products are.
Avoid at all cost.
Give me my money back!
The worst company ever
Purchased a replacement battery on 09/03/2016. The courier company(Hermes) did attempt delivery but left a card without any contact details and no tracking number. They (Hermes) then subsequently returned the battery to "ukpowersupply.co.uk" who admitted having received the battery back. As I write this today 25/04/2016, I have sent 12 emails & l get the same generic replies but have not received my payment back. I have emailed them my contact details but they haven't had the courtesy of calling me to resolve this issue and neither do they have a contact telephone that one can call.
This is one hell ( literally) of company to do business with and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy if I had one. Really poor after sales service
CAUGHT Update
I knew as soon as I saw the Paypal receipt email with name of the supplier!!!! that I'd been caught be a Chinese company masquerading as a UK company; confirmed when I didn't receive an email confirmation of order!! So I tried to contact them to cancel my order; not surprisingly no response; Unfortunately I didn't find all these reviews until this morning on further research.. I contacted Paypal and have already raised a dispute which is on going. So I'll wait and see what happens, not expecting much but should I keep "the faith" in mankind?? I am already resigned to putting this down to experience. No one can afford to lose money, but it could have been a lot more or worse. I'll update this if my fears prove to be unfounded.
Surprise, I did manage to cancel this order and got a refund within 2 days via PayPal; but still wouldn't ever contemplate ordering stuff without checking out Trustpilot
BAD COMPANY!!! BAD PRODUCTS!!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Bought a battery for a Vaio (VPC-EB1S1E) slightly more than one year ago. Used it with normally and the performance dropped no later than 10 months after. Sent an e-mail and got a reply after about two weeks saying that I should have tried discharging, recharging etc.... The battery was obviously on its way to die as it happened a couple of days ago (no longer under warranty).
STAY AWAY!!
Disgusting. KEEP AWAY.
The actual stars I would like to give would be Minus 9 Squdillion but they will only let me go as low as one
I have had the same problem with these people.
Battery only lasted 4 months before it stuck at 39% but was in fact dead.
Emailed them and got the same email as others had. I must return my battery to China.
Hold on. They are a .CO.UK website so surely they must be in the UK.
Not so. And Paypal are fully aware of this but let them continue.
I believe there are lots of these sites and more than one run by the same people in China.
I told them that I was not happy with themselves masquerading as a UK site and that I was certainly not going to return a faulty battery to China.
As mentioned in a previous review I also told them that the Royal Mail will not deliver faulty batteries.
They had the cheek to tell me to use another courier. I refused. There is a reason the Royal Mail will not take them so why should another company risk it ?
May as well have bashed my head against a brick wall.
I filed a complaint with Paypal and also got the stock reply to return the battery to China and then I would get a refund.
THIS PART IS IMPORTANT,
Thanks to Graham Wilkins above for this info.
You must phone Paypal and get put through to their complaints department.
They are FULLY AWARE that you cannot ship faulty batteries via the Royal Mail and issued me a full refund immediately without having to send the battery back.
Full marks for that Paypal.
But NO MARKS for Paypal for telling me to send it back in the first place and then have no way of disputing this decision on line. You could either enter tracking info or cancel the complaint. NOTHING ELSE.
By this time most people would have given up.
Lucky for me I am a bit of a Victor Meldrew and I also spotted Graham Wilkins post.
So after you get the generic email from Paypal telling you to return your battery to China, probably illegally :-) . PHONE PAYPAL UP. You should get an instant result as I did.
Sub-standard in every way!
I though I was buying a" high quality battery" form a UK company, only to have the battery barely last two months. I was then told I had to post the item recorded delivery to China and have it "tested" and they would give me a "refund". I have read below that batteries sent there aren't acknowledged as received. I'm also upset thet paypal allows a company to pretend to be UK and then demands we post heavy items at recorded delivery to China, and may only receive an unspecified refund.
The quality is of the battery awful, the three year warranty worthless, and lead to believe they're UK based. Shame on paypal and UK power Supplier NOT "UK".
I will now seek advice from the ombudsmen, as this is a complete robbery!
battery purchased from this company
My experience with this company. About 6 weeks after purchasing the battery in May 2014, it stopped holding a charge. I was asked to return it, and foolishly did so at a cost of £12 (promised back from them). Although I've had numerous exchanges by email, 'the refund will be in your account within 48 hours', apologies etc., from 'Jessica'. I am still waiting on that refund!
Do not buy from this company
I ordered a laptop battery in early May. It never arrived. I opened up a Paypal dispute a couple of weeks ago, and they tried to claim that it had been delivered but not collected by me. As I never had any notification that a delivery would happen, and there was no "failed to deliver" card through the door, this could not have been true.
I gave them a week to deliver the battery before I went to a claim. The battery then came within the week, but it only charges up to 40% and only lasts less than half an hour. I am of course now pursuing this issue.
I have to say that they respond very politely and quickly to emails, but it achieves little.
UPDATE.
Paypal settled this dispute in my favour, but I was expected to post the battery back to China. I called Paypal and they said that as the supplier had asked for that, they would give me my money back in full without me returning the battery; this is because the Royal Mail refuse to send batteries to China. If the supplier had given a UK address, I would have had to return it and pay postage. So 1 star to PowerSupplier and 5 stars to Paypal who were excellent every time I spoke to them.
AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID ! NOT FROM UK, BUT CHINA !!!!!
##UPDATE## RESULT ! After asking Paypal in my dispute case to reconsider its unfair decision that I return a faulty laptop battery back to China, at my expense in 10 days, or my case is closed, they have now had a change of mind, and have agreed my dispute case in my favour, and will now refund me ! I now have to contact my bank to cancel the "chargeback" that I requested. No way should this or any other company operating from outside the UK be allowed to trade using "CO.UK" in the pretence that they are a genuine UK based company.
It is totally misleading & dishonest to do so !
Google "nominet whois tool". You can type in and check any of these CO.UK websites to see which "COUNTRY" they are actually from !
BEWARE !!!!! LOTS OF THEM ARE "NOT" IN THE UK !!!!!
EG: If you type in "laptopbattery4u.co.uk" they are based in CHINA !
If you are having problems with a purchase, DON'T DELAY !
If you paid by Paypal, get onto them and open up a "DISPUTE CASE".
If you paid by Credit Card, get onto your Credit Card company and request a "CHARGEBACK" ! don't fall for any delaying tactics !
######################################################
Another one here, completely taken in and fooled by their "MISLEADING" AND "DECEIVING" WEBSITE THAT LOOKS AS IF IT IS A GENUINE UK BASED COMPANY. BEWARE ! IT IS NOT !!!!!
THEY ARE OPERATING FROM CHINA !!!!! NOT THE UK !!!!!
They have warehouses in the UK, but will most likely ask you to return a faulty laptop battery back to China, as they did me. I refused, due to ridiculous costs ! I am not throwing more good money after bad ! I now see and realise how these sort of companies can easily make lots of money by selling faulty laptop batteries that Paypal and Trading Standards will, in many many cases, "do nothing about", which can end up with you losing money through no fault of your own ! I would give a ZERO star rating if I could ! Read on....
##NOTE 1##
"PART OF A 2009 BBC ARTICLE” THE “PERCENTAGE” QUOTED WILL HAVE SINCE CHANGED. IT WOULD BE MUCH HIGHER NOW !
It states: “Anyone prepared to give their name and address, and pay £5, can buy a "CO.UK" domain name for a two year period. In total about 6% (amounts to thousands !) of registrations for "CO.UK" domain names come from "foreign" companies, mostly based in China". It is thought that there could be as many as 480,000 websites (2009 !) which carry "co.uk", but which are not UK based. That's bad enough as it is ! YOU WILL BE BE EVEN MORE SHOCKED & STAGGERED TO LEARN THAT IN MANY MANY CASES, TRADING STANDARDS, PAYPAL & CREDIT CARD COMPANIES WILL "NOT" TRY AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK !!!!! TO SAY THAT’S DISGRACEFUL AND UNACCEPTABLE, IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT !!!!! THEY SHOULD NOT BE ENCOURAGING "DODGY" FOREIGN WEBSITES !!!!!
##NOTE 2##
DO YOUR HOMEWORK & MAKE PROPER CHECKS !
IT SEEMS THAT MANY OF THE WEBSITES SELLING “REPLACEMENT” LAPTOP BATTERIES ARE "NOT" SECURE WEBSITES, AND ARE NOT BASED IN THE “UK”. THEY DO NOT START WITH "HTTP" BUT "WWW" THEY DO NOT HAVE A PADLOCK ! THEY ARE NOT VERIFIED IN ANY WAY, AND SOME MIGHT BE LINKED TO THE SAME COMPANY ! AVOID USING CREDIT CARD DETAILS WHERE A WEBSITE IS NOT SECURE ! I PAID BY PAYPAL.
POWERSUPPLIER.CO.UK DO NOT ISSUE ANY FORM OF INVOICE WITH YOUR BATTERY as mentioned by another reviewer. There is “NO ADDRESS” or “CONTACT PHONE NUMBER” ON THEIR WEBSITE ! Surely if you are “above board” you would or should have no problem displaying these on your website !
I sent them several emails. Someone called Sergey Brin? (note the name is neither Chinese or English) sent me an email suggesting I return it to somebody in CHINA ! Yeah right ! The email was signed off by "JESSICA". Since I emailed them that "JESSICA" seems to be the only one replying, the very next email I received was from someone called "COCO". VERY COMICAL !
Every charge of this hopeless battery ran down flat in 40 minutes just reading & browsing the internet (not videos that drain, just plain browsing). IGNORE THE SAME "TEMPLATE" REPLY THESE JOKERS WILL SEND YOU SUGGESTING YOU TRY AND SOLVE THE FAULT. IT'S A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME ! I KNOW A FAULTY LAPTOP BATTERY WHEN I START USING ONE !!!!!
AFTER OPENING UP A DISPUTE CASE WITH PAYPAL, PAYPAL’S DISAPPOINTING RESPONSE IS: “SEND IT BACK TO CHINA WITHIN 10 DAYS, IT HAS TO BE “TRACKED”, OR YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND, AND THE CASE WILL BE CLOSED" ! THAT IS CRAZY & UNJUST ! HAVING MADE SOME CHECKS, THE COST WILL EXCEED WHAT I PAID FOR IT ! SO, EITHER WAY, YOU WILL BE LEFT OUT OF POCKET THROUGH NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN, WHETHER YOU RETURN A FAULTY PRODUCT OR NOT !
PAYPAL, YOU ARE PATHETIC !!!!!
Where the hell are your protection rights for consumers?????
SHAMBOLIC TO SAY THE LEAST !
Looks like I will have to “WRITE OFF” this poor purchase but I will be complaining to Paypal, Trading Standards, Watchdog, Martin Lewis and any other organisation I can find, to see where I stand on this, and I will be asking how & why POWERSUPPLIER.CO.UK and OTHER FOREIGN BASED COMPANIES are allowed to trade under the misleading & false pretence that they are based in the UK by putting ".CO.UK" on their home page ! FARCICAL !!!!!
I imagine there must be shed loads of people, like myself, who have lost money from these misleading and unscrupulous websites. There needs to be a serious clampdown on such sites ! What is being done about it?
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, EVER !!!!!
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW, DO NOT USE THEM !!!!!
Con Artists
Like the other reviewers, I thought I was buying from a UK company, but after 3 weeks of non arrival, I realised this was not so. Worse was to come when after less than six months, the battery failed. Whilst this was an inconvenience.I did not think it would be too much of a problem, but eventually I received a return address, of course from China. I was not happy. They then gave me an address in Portsmouth. I thought this would then be no problem. This was far from the truth as after many emails, they still claim not to have received it. I get the same broken English reply every time. The address was probably fake.. My biggest mistake, apart from buying from them was not to send it registered post. I did not think they reimburse me for the return cost, so went for the standard delivery.
Be warned do not buy from this company
Further to this ,they refuse to replace the faulty battery, still claiming to have not received it.They are a bunch of scumbags and should be avoided like the plague.
3 week delivery
I ordered replacement Dell e4200 battery on 20 Feb 2015. On 4 Mar having read a few scare stories, I got no response through their patchy website contact (there is no phone contact). I raised a query through PayPal, on 6 Mar and got a response on 7 Mar - was advised "not to worry" it was on it way via Hermes.
A brand new battery turned up 2 days later - obviously had already been posted by snail mail from wherever.
Whilst the Customer Service was almost none existent, I did get an extremely good deal on a brand new battery - I had a bad experience of paying slightly more for a "reconditioned" battery from a UK based supplier that was obviously just ripped out of a defunct machine and lasted only 4 months - and yes it had a 3 month warranty....
I guess the 3 year guarantee reflects the fact its a brand new battery.
For me it was worth the risk of trying them because a brand new battery from a UK supplier would have been 3 times more expensive.
I recommend these guys and, with the above risk proviso, will probably use them again.
Don't buy your battery here....
We ordered a replacement battery for my Toshiba laptop thinking we were dealing with a UK based company. It arrived on time but unfortunately did not work. After emailing them about the problem they advised to update the BIOS, which we did but without result. They then offered to check the battery and replace or refund it but as I found out hardly any courier or parcelservice ships lithium ion batteries anymore. On top of that, the costs of sending it back would be more than the price of the battery itself and would not be refunded by powersupplier....
Lesson learnt: research companies before you buy online, had we done that we would have undoubtedly found this site with numerous, comparable complaints and would never have ordered the battery with powersupplier and still would have had our money or a working battery replacement.
The worse costumer service ever.
I ordered 2 replacement batteries for my fujitsu AH530 as my one died. The price sounded good (cheapest around) same with the conditions and more importantly was implying to be a UK based company.
My first mistake was not reading the reviews about this company!!!
2 days after placing the order I emailed the company asking for further information without any success. The only reply I received was a sort of template in poor English. a quick tracking on their IP address shown that the emails are based in US but this is likely to be a fake IP address as the company is known to be based in China and have a warehouse somewhere in England. Don’t get me wrong, I buy regularly from Chinese suppliers and never had a complaint about genuine sellers.
When I realized that I as risking losing my hard earned money I opened a dispute on Paypal. Several messages back and forward with little or no information supplied by the seller. To make things worse, the tracking number given was always returning “sorry, we have no information on that reference number.”
After the dispute period ran out and I was allowed by Paypal to escalate it to a claim I didn’t received any further from the seller.
Strangely, the day after the claim the batteries were posted and 2 days after I received them.
There are other (unfortunate) costumers from this company that stated receiving the wrong battery so I was very cautious about it.
I was glad to find out that both batteries were what was ordered and in perfect working condition.
I just don’t accept or even understand why such company is allowed to trade in the UK when is in fact a Chinese based business and are so poor in trading.
I am convinced that wasn’t Paypal’s intervention I would be still waiting for the order to be dispatched.
As precaution you better stay clear from this rogue company. A final note, they will not issue you an invoice and any VAT (Claimed to be charged) document. As far I understand, if something goes wrong during the stated 3 years warranty period I will have 2 very expensive doorstops.
As you will understand I can't say that I was a victim of a scam as other are stating, but was very close...
Beginning to believe I've been scammed !!!
I ordered and paid for a laptop battery from what I believed to be a legit uk company with a .co.uk website.
I now know the company is based somewhere in China !
After 10 days still no sign of the battery !
I have had sent numerous emails to the company , and I am been told the same reply every time :-
Dear James Hague,

Scam artists
Ordered a battery off them, it would not charge. I bought another battery from a different company after I realised that I had been scammed from this Chinese based and Chinese operating company and that battery worked from the other company. I told them that the battery did not work and I wanted a refund but they just tried to fob me off saying that I needed to reset the BIOS which is a load of rubbish because the other battery I ordered worked without having to reset anything.
Eventually I gave up with these crooks because I realised, even though their website and business name gives you the impression of being in the UK, that they were Chinese based and Chinese operating and they would of made me pay more in packaging and sending the useless battery back to China than what I paid for the battery. They do not state that they are Chinese based and Chinese operating.
Notebook battery from P.R. China
I placed the order believing I was dealing with a UK company. I only later checked it with Trustpilot and realized it is based in China. The Sony Vaio replacement battery arrived after 11 days. The price including transport was around 50% of what I should have paid in Denmark. I was worried that I would have had to pay VAT and customs clearance fee on top but somehow I was not charged with that. The battery works fine, the colour is different from my notebook (silver instead of black) but that may be my own mistake when ordering. I am impressed with the fast shipping.
Beware as returns have to be sent to China at your cost!!!!
Ordered a replacement battery from this UK looking website, item arrived and was poorly made so had to return. It was at this time that I was told the item had to be returned to China to be quality control checked, I asked about who would be responsible for the cost's of sending the item to China. Never got a straight answer, so was left with no choice but to send it, after 1 month I got a refund for the cost of the item but not for the additional shipping. The goods on this website made be slightly cheaper but if you have to return them it will end up costing you a lot more.
